My point is you have to test the waters and gauge her reaction. You have to touch her in a non platonic way and see if she recoils in disgust or leans in and plays along. Which is way different advice than “never ever, under any circumstances, yada yada yada” I have been told by crushes that I reconnected with later in life that they would have loved to date or fool around but they thought I wasn’t interested because I was so polite and gentlemanly. So I watched as they dated other guys and yes …

I’m trying to help you understand why many dudes end up in that position. Growing up you are taught tons of rules about how to properly court women in a gentlemanly way. Things like “never make lewd jokes” “never tease girls as a form of flirtation, that’s immature” “never touch anyone without their explicit consent” So you end up with guys trying to do it the “right way”. Basically spending time, building a relationship, doing favors etc. Then one day they think they’ve built a good base to rev…

Please describe to me some typical behaviors you would identify as flirting. Tell me how you communicate sexual or romantic interest without explicitly saying it.

Okay then let’s be honest. You need to do certain things that are “wrong” or “ungentlemanly” to get a girls attention and take things to a romantic or sexual place.

I’ve had better luck with women when I keep the conversation completely meaningless and surface level. I try to keep the “vibe” flirty and shallow. Gushing about your hobbies, no matter how interesting they are does not work IMHO. Being “interesting” just means being handsome and charismatic. Has nothing to do with how deep and knowledgeable you are about whatever topic.

From what I understand. People are having less sex now. So how is it that people are more open and free and such?

No. That’s nonsense.

Yes this has worked for me. I’m also very fortunate in a lot of ways so…. YMMV. Personally I hate the advice of “do nothing” a lot of dating advice for men is just “work on yourself and never approach women or you’ll look desperate/ creepy” It’s like saying, work on your resume but never shop it around or apply. It makes no sense. If you want something you should take steps to get it. Not sit around and wait for some perfect opportunity to fall in your lap.

People have biases towards base desires. I don’t have any issue with someone saying I have these preferences. Just don’t normalize it and make it sound healthy and natural. Both men and women will try to explain their preferences as if it’s natural and supported by evo psych. It’s all horse hockey if you ask me. Man or woman you’re an idiot if you’re a slave to your base desires. Preference is fetish if it’s not flexible.

I think it makes perfect sense? Tell me why it’s draconian to want a partner that’s not a chaotic BPD pistol.

Purple. 2. Yes I used to be much more blue pill. 3. It all changed when I realized that I was getting more attention and success with women when I started using certain “red pill” ideas. 4. No, as with all things, balance is super important.

Well suicide rates are higher for men. Like 80% of suicides are men. Homelessness is a bigger problem for men. Men are less educated and so on. It’s no secret. I think you might be misunderstanding my addressing problems as me defending the outcomes of those problems. If a serial killer kills people that’s bad, indefensible. However, most serial killers had terrible childhoods and frankly when you hear their life stories it’s a pretty obvious factor in how they became serial killers. Edit: becau…

Well since you clearly don’t think they matter. I’d prefer to address the real life consequences to women and society more broadly. Which is. The more you alienate and act as if their problems don’t matter. There will likely be more misogyny in the world. It’s why I try to be kind to women and take their struggles seriously. Because I don’t want to make more entrenched, misandrist women. These issues are not like sports where you can shit on the fans of the other team and the fans going at it do…

Just wanting to point out that your response seems to be pitting the two issues against each other. When in reality two issues can exist and both can be bad. Regardless of severity of those things. I’d argue that your approach is part of the issue OP is referring to here. Whataboutism.

Yeah it is frustrating because it seems like all the rules I was taught how to be polite and gentlemanly are the kind of things that get you called a duplicitous nice guy these days. It sucks after being an ally to women and cheering them on my whole life.

My mom is a sweet lady but I don’t think she knows how bad she fucked me up with all the man hating and stuff.

I push back on stuff all the time. Actually can’t wait to have some spirited debate with the holidays coming up. I’m one of those insufferable people who thinks that it’s totally fine to talk about heavy shit if you’re being persuasive and not argumentative.

I agree but one thing not explicitly stated is that BOTH partners need to do these things. You can’t expect all that without reciprocating from time to time, or without being the first one to start that positive cycle.

I think one of our basest desires is variety. Once you have a thing it becomes banal and plain to you. Man or woman. It takes a truly mature person to think. Am I falling out of love with this person or am I falling victim to my ape brain tendencies. That or what attracted them wasn’t strong enough to begin with.

It’s frustrating. As a handsome, successful ish guy I have experienced doing the right thing and seeing the reactions be generally negative. Vs acting like a fuck boi and a scoundrel and having it work great.

Well we can agree to disagree. I think you attract more flies with honey than vinegar. I’m going to keep schmoozing and persuading in an effort to sway people in a positive direction. Insulting and arguing only makes people more entrenched. IMHO.

Au contraire…. a large group of gen z men and the women in the age bracket that is plausibly their mothers flipped after voting democrat in past elections. In my opinion that’s because they believe the party no longer fits their values. But that’s just my interpretation. It’s also possible that some societal conditions made them change their values to be more conservative. My position remains that persuasion and compassion is more effective at winning those people over. Rather than calling them …

The amount of hate I hear for liberal men about being snakes and duplicitous “nice guys” FROM liberal women makes me think they weren’t going to sleep with those guys anyway…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 03:13 PM

Because if you look at gen z men and women. They flipped. Meaning that men who voted democrat in the past (presumably they WERE denouncing those people) still felt like no matter what they do they could never be accepted by the left. I’m a liberal. In the past I’ve spoken with women about feminism. And even though my message is EXACTLY the same. I could parrot verbatim a woman’s point in conversation and it’s as though there’s a record scratch moment and everyone piles on about how men aren’t al…

Hey I have always voted democrat. And Ive been saying it for years that the left is going to keep losing if they don’t change their tune. I wish I was wrong but I saw this coming a mile away.

Ma’am. You can’t pull an exception to every situation and act like you’re right. That’s just being a contrarian. In school. Teachers. Told me a million things about consent and love and relationships that were probably a little extreme. Like left wing extreme, I don’t doubt that sex ed and societal norms in the 40s were probably really backwards. I don’t sit here telling women that “not all men in the 40s were chauvinistic jerks” I understand where they’re coming from when they complain about th…

Well that’s my point. They’re not. Yet nobody ever tells women that their advice about dating is not universal truth of opinions of all women. They only say that to men. If I could go back in time I’d stand up for myself to those women and say that while they might not think it’s right. It clearly works. They shouldn’t speak for women who they don’t know. Edit: previous comment getting downvoted for literally agreeing with the concept that women are not a monolith. I do not understand the hate i…

A lot of dating advice from women to men treats women as a monolith though. I remember one time I told a group of female friends a pick up line I used to pretty good effect. They all told me how wrong it was to start an interaction this way. It was totally harmless, not rude or explicit, just a little white lie. They made me feel like a total asshole for using an opening line that worked really well for me.
