Just saw them at Red Rocks in Denver and I can't even count how many time I had chills. When they had the native local dancers out to bless the ceremony you could hear a pin drop.

I think the fun of metal is the fantasy element of it. Where Vikings roamed with ravens on their shoulder, brandishing daggers specifically for beheadings. Death and destruction to your enemies Booooyyyy do I have a band for you. They're called Heilung and they aren't metal per se but are often on metal festival tickets. They consider themselves "amplified history" and play what I can best describe as Viking/Iron Age heavy metal.

I worked for a woman who was over 65 and insisted she would never remarry because post 65 men just want "a nurse or a purse".

I just took a training about Exercise for Functional Aging in seniors and the trainer told us the story of one of his clients, who is in her 70s. She says she will be single til she dies because "At their age, all men want is a nurse or a purse or both." She ain't wrong.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
