Do your partner's sociopolitical beliefs matter to the relationship?Kinda? On the political compass I’m libertarian left. I myself am fascinated with Anarcho communism, my boyfriend isn’t as much, but he’s still very left and in the same quadrant, just not as extreme. Same with all of my friends. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/07/21 01:38 AM
Q4All Why do you think it so that liberal wow no refuse to date conservative men even though they are more masculine and chivalrous? Also why is it that conservative men get so upset about this?I don’t think they are lol | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/07/21 01:06 AM
Do your partner's sociopolitical beliefs matter to the relationship? To answer the title question, yes. I could never date someone who isn’t radically left. It shows completely different values, ones that I can’t resonate with. Even with friends too. I’m just not trying to take in energy from people I’m fundamentally ‘against’ (not as people- but right vs left energies are super different and I can only feel comfortable with leftists.) I’m still tolerant and treat everyone with respect, but my personal choices are to distance myself, especially from paleo conserv… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/07/21 12:58 AM

“Say something nice” and “food.” How sad that the bar has been set this low for so many men. One commenter said a woman called him handsome 4 years ago and he hasn’t forgotten it.That's fucking stupid. Relationships are a 2 way fuckin street, gross | /r/MensRights | 14/05/21 11:32 PM
To the “feminists” on this sub.....Yes I agree! What I’m saying is that, especially over the internet where anonymity is convenient, people mislabel themselves. Sometimes it’s just shitty people trying to feel less shitty about being a shitty person. I’m sure that you know what I’m talking about. Anyway, because it’s on the internet it is difficult to judge off the ‘walk’ rather than the ‘talk’. So you must decide whether or not you want to trust their self labeling. Many of us have grown to distrust each other’s self representat… | /r/MensRights | 11/05/21 06:00 AM
To the “feminists” on this sub.....That’s true, but isn’t it true that many other groups are doing the same thing? Everyone wants to be in the right it seems. | /r/MensRights | 11/05/21 05:45 AM
To the “feminists” on this sub.....Isn't there that whole "no true scotsman" logical fallacy? If a feminist labels themselves as such, but supports and spreads misandrist messages, then, by definition, she does not follow the political ideology. However, as I'm sure you know, that doesn't stop them from self-labeling as feminists. So, fuck. I think feminists use that term similar to the BLM movement. They put an emphasis and focus women, because they think they are the only oppressed gender. And BLM advocates put an emphasis on c… | /r/MensRights | 11/05/21 01:59 AM
Mens rights vs hating womenNo, I’m also not sure of what that really means. My personal philosophy is that hatred on any sides is counterproductive, and we need to work together. Because if it’s only true equality that we seek, the only way to achieve that goal will be collectively working together. In that way, we are a team, we want to feel valued and heard, and to be satisfied with our treatment. I don’t associate with any political party or group because of this. The polarization of our society has grown so extreme th… | /r/MensRights | 10/05/21 11:16 PM

Autism Affects 4X More Boys Than It Does Girls; Here’s WhyWell, it is true that girls are very undiagnosed. But that doesn’t make you misogynistic, most people don’t know that. I didn’t until I got my diagnosis 🤷♀️ | /r/MensRights | 10/05/21 08:36 PM
Nothing creeps me out more than female obsession with male financial worth and status.I see a lot of women’s tinder profiles that “require” a guy to be over a specified height. | 1 | Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.Yes, that is true. I think it could be classified as somewhat of a more serious misdemeanor, that would seem to fit. That can come w fines, and usually up to a year in a county jail, but not quite a penitentiary. Thoughts? | /r/MensRights | 10/05/21 01:21 AM
Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.Yes I 100% agree. I suppose I’m not quite familiar in the legal system in the US- but could a penalty be one similar to libel or slander? | /r/MensRights | 10/05/21 12:39 AM
Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.Triggering, to me, relates to pretty severe PTSD. In psychological terms it means that it brings back very unwanted memories that are highly painful, resulting in flashbacks or panic attacks. Yes, most court cases are stressful, this is just a different kind of stressful, and I’m aware that all are valid. I think it’s just hard to understand if you don’t have the disorder. It’s similar to what veterans tend to get after combat, but my PTSD relates more to sexual violence, if that makes any sense… | /r/MensRights | 10/05/21 12:37 AM
Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.I don’t think you understand- I am saying that it should be punishable under the law. I do not want any advantages, and I am sorry if it came off that way. Reporting my perpetrator was the scariest thing I’ve ever done. By no means would I do it again if it wasn’t something that needed to be done. It’s a complicated, overwhelming and triggering process. Most importantly though, my moral compass does not lead me to ruin someone’s life any form of retaliation. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/21 08:58 PM
Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.I don’t subscribe to any political/social group or party. it’s just a personal experience that has has changed the way i view things on this issue. to each their own ✌️ | /r/MensRights | 09/05/21 08:48 PM
Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be given the sentence the man would have gotten.I can agree on this. i had to make a statement to the police about my repeated sexual assault. if i was scared that somehow it could give me a punishment, i would never have done it, and the perpetrator would have been left in society to abuse other women. false accusations, when actually proven beyond reasonable doubt, should have some kind of penalty. i think that’d be a case by case basis. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/21 04:05 PM
Boys are raised by women, but then all of the problems are somehow just men's fault?I would love to talk with you!! I’m as left as it gets in most cases but I’d love to talk to someone with a differing viewpoint! this also applies to whoever sees this! I love actual discussions about politics. | /r/MensRights | 08/05/21 11:24 PM
Is 'Toxic Masculinity' even real?I think all of those people are pretty radical and that’s some fucked up shit to spew. I think there’s radical ends to every belief or viewpoint, those all aren’t accepted as well because most times they’re hateful and, like you said, toxic. I think most women don’t feel this way, but now I’m aware they’re out there. You shouldn’t have to handle that. I’m glad you guys are talking to each other about it then. | 1 | Loneliness and mental health problems in men are caused by systemic and institutionalized forms of sexism against men - Psychology Todaynot as much as I’d like to, I think the last phone call we had was about a month ago. he lives in AK (where I’m from), so since freshman year I’ve only flown up to see him once. I would love it if we talked more, he won’t even come down to see me graduate. So he’s kinda a flake, but still my dad, better than my manipulative / emotionally abusive mother I’m stuck with. | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 01:52 PM

Life expectancy gender gap is preventableThat’s super interesting. something related- as of 2013, the life expectancy for males in Russia was 65.1 years. The female life expectancy was 76.5 years at the time. The most common causes of death were working men, from alcohol poisoning, stress, smoking, traffic accidents, violent crimes etc. My question is if you think that is at least partially due to men coping with mental illness in unhealthy ways (NOT their fault- keep reading). Like drinking and smoking, as there isn’t enough mental su… | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 12:58 AM
We've got a long way to go when so many women believe misandry doesn't even existI agree, there needs to be way more of a middle ground, shades of grey. One group doesn’t take precedent over the other. We both have our issues, and I only see this happening if people (all parties involved) start following egalitarianism, if that makes sense. I just wish we could all work together, there’s a lot of tension between so many people on this earth, and it’s quite saddening. I am glad you stand up for this issue. | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 12:41 AM

Loneliness and mental health problems in men are caused by systemic and institutionalized forms of sexism against men - Psychology TodayThat’s my dad. He’s pretty depressed and has decided to put off dating ever again. When I was younger and my parents got a divorce, my mom took me, despite me preferring to stay with my dad. It’s heartbreaking for both of us. Now he lives a thousand miles away and I feel so bad about it. I really agree with this, this needs more attention. | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 12:35 AM
Is 'Toxic Masculinity' even real?I’m curious about this comment and want to learn more. What do you see toxic femininity as? | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 12:32 AM
Is 'Toxic Masculinity' even real?I think toxic masculinity is a term that is very multifaceted. Where I live, men do tend to be more ‘manly’, because our society expects them to be. For example, men are often expected to not show emotions or pain, or just to ‘tough it out’. So, as they try to achieve these societal pressures & expectations, they are shunned. They are criticized because they don’t want to show vulnerability, but in reality it’s caused by the social issues regarding men’s gender normalities. I think, at an extrem… | /r/MensRights | 07/05/21 12:31 AM

I want to ask questions to many groups that I may have previously “disagreed” with, because I now realize that everyone’s opinion is valid & important. I’ve asked questions to conservative subreddits, feminist ones (got deleted) and now this subreddit. I hope to expand my understanding of all groups. ✌️ | /r/MensRights | 30/03/21 03:02 PM |

I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Right. I think that’s more of a liberal ideal but I think most feminists would agree that abortion is a right. What are the biggest things you disagree with? In regards to feminism. | /r/MensRights | 30/03/21 02:52 PM

I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Ah I’ll check that out. I’m really super to ideas if they’re either backed by some sort of data or an otherwise a logically backed up claim. I too tend to avoid labels. My idea is that women do lack some rights, as do men. So can one be a true member of both MRA and FRA? Both parties have different defecits, and nobody really has the complete upperhand. With the government thing, that must be true to some degree. | 1 | I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Ok, why should you or any man on this planet demonize feminism and everyone who chooses to call themselves feminist? I suppose i’m not asking what MRA exists, obviously they have some rights, I just wanted to know what the biggest issues this subreddit thought were the ones they lack and need help with. As with every movement, the first step to change is for others to actively learn more about your cause & mission. If you can’t do that, it’s gonna be tough. So I am sorry that I phrased the wrong… | /r/MensRights | 28/03/21 02:32 PM

I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Why would you say that? I stated so many times that I want to hear... look at the comments dude, I’m sincere. I just don’t want to have a useless internet argument, nobody has time for that shit, it’s so counterproductive. I simply want to hear ... in a civil way. If you want to move forward with this movement, demonizing the “other side” is not going to help. If I say something feminist, I would be under attack. But if I ask to be educated about this movement, why does that bother you as well? … | /r/MensRights | 28/03/21 05:26 AM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Whoah. Thank you so much! This is seriously ‘enlightening’... how can a whole population convince themselves of something so wrong? Why do they want to create a world they hate? Again, not a generalization, some feminists are great. I’m just talking abt the ones that aren’t... Something like, the narcissistic love of the tragic self. That’s how I’d put it. | /r/MensRights | 28/03/21 12:34 AM
Why do feminists think, they know how it feels to be a men and can therefore claim that they have it worse?Because I’m ignorant lol. That’s why I wanted to be educated, that’s why I made this post :) I want to learn and be aware of these things! Truly, though. I think most people don’t know about this, because the ~feminist movement~ has caused MRA to be silenced in some way. At least that’s what I’ve gathered from users on this subreddit. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:49 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)whoah. that’s a really interesting article ! Do you agree with points that feminists often agree on? As a young woman, I have often really feared being alone in public, especially at night. Many of my male friends do not share this feeling. So would you say that’s misandry at work? If I understand correctly, some points made by feminists have some kind of basis, but have been generalized and turned into male hatred. Is that how you feel? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:47 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)sometimes, yes. this can be true. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:43 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Wow that’s pretty fucked. I’ve not heard about the trans example, that’s not equality that’s just ... more hatred spread. So what do you want to see from feminists? Like, what would your ideals be...? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:16 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Unfortunately I find this to be true. I had some hope though. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:12 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)I’m actively trying to dismantle the us vs them mindset. It is intentionally a open ended subject. I just want to hear about the male experience; what are the hardest parts? In this case, I don’t feel like I have the “right” to pick and choose what I want to hear about. I suppose I would like to hear about several things. For example, do you feel safe sharing your opinions, especially to women? Why is there a stigma around feminists in this subreddit? What experiences have you personally had tha… | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 11:05 PM

I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)I can definitely see this. Most of my friends are guys and it’s a lot more challenging for them to open up. My boyfriend took quite a while, when he cries I hold him tight like an actually supportive SO. So I suppose many women see it from your GFs perspective, because he was suprised. It still really sucks that you have to bottle it up. And her response was pretty fucked IMO. It also really makes it a lot harder to actually seek help if there’s something going on. Actually, a couple hours I tal… | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 10:16 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Cancel culture is so toxic :/ It’s good you’re not ashamed, and I have no intention of shaming you. Just so we’re clear. The internet is really confusing. Have you found any women that agree with these ideas? I imagine that many would not, is that true? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:58 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)I stated that I wanted to hear differing points. Just in a way that isn’t hostile or defensive. I am actively attempting to understand. In reality, nobody is truly “right”, and that’s a valuable thing I’m very grateful to now understand. Before, I thought I was right. An us vs. them type of viewpoint, which was super counterproductive and just perpetuated the polarization of a collective society (humankind). I value all opinions. (Unless they’re actively hurting someone.) What did I say that gav… | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:44 PM
Why do feminists think, they know how it feels to be a men and can therefore claim that they have it worse?Wow! That’s super interesting. The media really polarizes things. Thanks for showing me that! | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:43 PM
Why do feminists think, they know how it feels to be a men and can therefore claim that they have it worse? Are there statistical studies that prove this? Not asking out of hostility. I’ve just never heard of that before. But now I have! Thanks. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:38 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)YES! I’m so glad you agree on this!! That is unbelievably refreshing. I’m not sure what exactly I wanted to discuss- I think that it’s mostly about the male experience, as it is obviously foreign to me. Or something about specific topics, such as the forced suppression of emotions etc. due to society’s standards of what “makes a man a man”. It’s mostly out of curiosity. I’m ignorant about the topic and I just want to learn & grow. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:36 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Not really. I believe what I believe and don’t totally subscribe to either men’s right movement or feminist ideas. They both have valid points. I pick and choose what feels right to me, from most viewpoints. Do you? Do you agree with any feminist ideas? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:32 PM
Why do feminists think, they know how it feels to be a men and can therefore claim that they have it worse? What do you mean by this? Am I missing something? Please educate me. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:28 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Why generalize? I just don’t want to have an argument over the internet, it’s exhausting. Nobody learns from them, it’s just further polarizing & alienating, is it not? To me, debate has somewhat of a connotation to it. I imagine facebook comment sections just tearing into each other, only making counterarguments. But If it’s a respectful debate, sure! I’d love to hear your points. But if it’s an argument back and forth, nobody is growing. I’m a fan of seeing others simply as humans with a diffe… | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 09:27 PM

I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Interesting. That must be a very frustrating role to be in. I totally agree with the virgin shaming especially. Often women say the whole “men only want one thing and it’s disgusting”, but then virgin shame at the same time. I don’t understand that but I call it out when I see it. Does this make you ashamed to be in the MRA movement? As if you cannot speak about it, or share your ideas? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:38 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Oh sorry. I have aspergers and don’t understand sarcasm as well, especially over the internet. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:34 PM
I want to help & understand (former feminist, current egalitarian)Why would you say that? I am trying to reach out and help my understanding. Is that not what this community wants? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:33 PM
Why isn't Greta Thunberg getting eviscerated for mocking men with small penises? Isn't she promoting toxic masculinity? Shouldn't feminists be "cancelling" her right now? Compare the reaction to what would happen if a man mocked women with large labia.Interesting. I suppose that the scientific study is just a true statement of correlational statistics. But if the roles were reversed, you'd get shat all over, so yeah, its fucked up. Utilizing a common insecurity to entice men to be climate change activists is icky, no questions asked. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:19 PM
Internalized misandryThis is definetely a problem in our society, it does need to be addressed. In my mind, everyone should feel comfortable with their emotions, in public, and in general. I try to spread the idea but it does get a lot of pushback, its unhealthy and just detrimental in general. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:15 PM
I am once again asking the feminists who lurk here a question: Why do you keep on justifying misandrist values/opinions by other feminists, then keep on insisting that feminism is for men too?If you look lower in the thread, I said that it's not my place to, I understand that. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:09 PM
I am once again asking the feminists who lurk here a question: Why do you keep on justifying misandrist values/opinions by other feminists, then keep on insisting that feminism is for men too?I am confused. I wanted to support your ideas. Like I said, I am not interested in feminism because it can be a harmful thing and I instead focus on the concept of egalitarianism. Am I missing something? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:05 PM
I am once again asking the feminists who lurk here a question: Why do you keep on justifying misandrist values/opinions by other feminists, then keep on insisting that feminism is for men too?Ah. I'm autistic so I'm pretty bad at understanding figures o speech lol. But, fair point. It's not my place to define an entire movement or community. What would be a non- no true scotsman approach to the definition? | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 05:03 PM
I am sick and tired of seeing so many things addressing "problems" that women have.I understand your point. Self acceptance is truly a key aspect to self-actualization, and its quite important for peoples overall wellbeing. I think that it IS ok to be chubby, especially if youre living healthily. i.e, if you overeat on healthy foods, but are active, etc. I think we should put a more healthy lifestyle perspective towards it. If health is what your goal is, then thats a very positive thing to reinforce. The problem is that shaming people can be quite psychologically damaging. It… | /r/MensRights | 27/03/21 04:49 PM
