Right, the kids being happy. I never said anything about courts being involved or going for full custody. Making sure the children get love and care they deserve is the priority.

It is his problem if his kids are involved.

First of all, why did you move 10 hours away? You need to get back into a logical proximity of your children. Second, does your ex have any type of education beyond high school? If so, your lawyer will.make you pay extra, but they can do a field study to see what the market rate of her educated profession would be and your child support could be adjusted. As for CC debt, you can bargain that stuff down by giving up something in return. I know this because I made <100k and my ex had a college edu…

My attorney was horrible. Didn't listen to anything that I wanted from the divorce. He wanted to go balls to the wall and make it a war, which I absolutely did not want to do because I will have to co parent with her. He refused to take my calls and the one time he answered he stated I was asking stupid questions. He sent some bumbling moron to a hearing and this dude was asking me questions and wouldn't even listen to my responses. So, my retainer was being nickle and dimed away and I made the …

I had moved to a place where it was $75 per animal. I waited a year until I found another place and I got my two cats back. She hated them, lol.

I'm in my early 40's, been divorced for about 10 years, and I've learned that women have a skewed outlook on how our dicks actually work when we get older.

OP, you really can't be expecting a reasonable answer, are you? All the answers are doom and gloom even though you gave us NO information on your relationship with your wife. How long will she be gone on this vacation? I'm really doubting your whole post is even real.

Why did you go to her work? Why not just give the gifts to her at home?

Never ended up having to pay her a dtime. I did give up the house, though. Fired my lawyer and got half my retainer back. I think I lost/paid about $1k. Also, instead of paying $650/month for child support, she decided to only take me for half. I only pay $325/month but also carry insurance for our child. I came out of the divorce in great shape.

I'm telling you, don't watch or get into any of that crap. We already know how bad women can be, us men aren't any better. But watching that crap will not help you at all. Quite frankly, I find it disturbing that content is even being made, let alone having a fan base.

A bit of advice, don't watch female mindset videos or ask for too much advice on the internet. I don't even know what female mindset videos are and I don't even want to know. That shit will only give you false expectations. Just ride out your time being single, but I assure you, the dating game gets old. Have fun now, but you'll eventually be spread thin or get played and end up in a relationship you'll regret in a few years.

I'm confused. Sounds like she's probably dated a bit, had sex while dating, and then found out the guy had no intentions of a serious relationship. She's most likely just protecting herself to not get hurt emotionally/used for sex. You both want different things when it comes to a relationship.

POF is nasty! Wasn't bad a few years ago but now it's full of fake profiles and has the live cam crap. FB dating isn't bad and there is no fees or tricks.

I honestly think the women on Bumble don't realize that they have to send the first message within 24 hours.

I'm more referencing the relationships that were doomed from the start, and or not married and accidentally got knocked up. You gotta admit there are some dudes out here that just don't care and will get a woman pregnant and dip. I've met some women who've had to track down the dads for some payments. Some guys need to demonstrate self control and not make kids that they cannot take care of when not actively trying to have a "family".

I can never understand how these women can just turn on us and actively try to ruin our lives and our relationship with our children. Fortunately, mine was the opposite but I have some friends who have been taken to the woodshed for no reason. It's not right, but for all of us who get screwed, there are more deadbeats that give us a bad image

Are you and your stbxw at all amicable? Does she know how bad you are getting screwed? She needs to look out for your kids. You can't properly take care of them if you can't financially take care of them when you have them, let alone yourself. Try talking to her about it. Tell her it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. I made some grammar edits

Wait, what? Live in an area considering her orientation? I thought I've heard of everything. I'm sorry, brother. For shits and giggles, what if you found an area that has the most single straight women, could you play that against her in court in your favor?

What? That's some scumbag stuff right there. Child support will always catch up to you.

It's almost as if they knew you had paid in full and always on time, kinda like a mortgage, credit card, car loan payment. But, now they went after you and made you.pay extra for no reason, probably to make up for the deadbeats who don't pay what they are obligated to share. Kinda remind you of something that was just enacted? Not fair at all. That's insane they wouldn't do the proper paperwork/research to give you the money back. It was probably already spent.

A year after my divorce, a letter came in the mail saying I owed like $1,500 in back child support, and my license was going to be suspended. I was confused because my CS was taken right out of my paychecks. Called up the ex wife and confirmed she has been getting the CS. As per the divorce, I agreed to provide health insurance for our daughter, or at least a cash equivalent. Well, I changed jobs and the CS was never informed of my insurance, I sent the correct documentation to prove I had her o…

Agreed. Take some time to yourself. Many people get themselves right back into a situation where they are not ready for and can become in the same situation they left prior. Relationships are great, but just be ready for one. Go on dates, dip your toes in the water, but don't settle too quickly

Cleaned my rims, changed out my broken upstairs toilet seat, vacuumed, laundry, talked to my daughter on the phone, tried a new corn on the cover recipe. Was calm and cool. Back to work tomorrow.

I actually lost weight and didn't even realize it until my ex gave me a hug and said she noticed I lost weight. I typically hang around 185 (at 6') but was down to 150. I eventually made it up to 200 but dropped back down to my new typical weight of 190.

Same happened to me! She never hung out with them the first 5 years we were together but they slowly started brainwashing her into hating me because they were all miserable hags who hated that my wife was happy and loved. They turned her into a complete monster and we divorced. She stopped hanging out with those friends and married again but she has told me that she is unhappy and that she regrets all the crap she put me through and that she wishes we never divorced. Oh well!!

Talk to her or a therapist, don't be taking life altering advice from random people on the internet.

There are way more things to try before that. Drinking, smoking, and being out of shape can and will affect elections. Some of us need to feel an actual connection with our partner, too. On the flip side, yes, our testosterone does decrease in age.

Your STBX is none of your concern now, your kids are the focal point. Many divorces end horribly because they are not thought out logically but done with feelings and no one wins that way.

They don't know how good they have it until it's being taken away. My ex was brainwashed by her friends and thought it was the cool thing to do as in party 3 to 4 nights a week until I moved out and she didn't have anyone to be home with the kids and have no money coming in to live on.

Think rational on not with your heart/feelings. Going to HR with almost no solid evidence will make you look extremely petty. What's the whole reason to even go to her HR? Keep everything low key and just prepare for the divorce or have you not seen a lawyer, yet? A lawyer would advise you to not go to her HR.

My ex wife and I had an amicable divorce 6 years ago that needed to happen. She was a different person with many new outside influences. We had a rough 2 years after but we have a child and I kept it cordial and we have become really good friends. It's not easy being friends because those good feelings come back but she recently apologized for her being the way she was at the end of our divorce. I don't hate her or women but she did me bad but I got over it and we acted like adults and worked th…

I know OP's post history has been brought up but we all don't know the situation. But I've seen many responses that are unnecessary.

Sounds like you have all your ducks in a row. Of course she won't sell because she doesn't want you to get any of the money, which is just dumb because it's very possible she may owe you money.

Good for you! It's been 6 years divorced for me and I haven't found a woman that I wanted to be with but my ex got remarried and he definitely doesn't measure up to me and she has acknowledged a few times recently that she messed up by not trying harder in our marriage (which she even said she fucked up big time).

Your lawyer knows about all that money she took, right? I sure hope you don't get stuck having to pay off those debts or even split them with her. She took that money out, not you!!

You can not actively ruin your soon to be ex's credit, the court will not like that and every lawyer will tell you the same thing.

I'm sure if evidence was given to a judge that a spouse maxed out the credit cards and or blew through the savings he can rule and give judgements to the affected spouse
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/22 09:19 PM

That's actually illegal and can be proven in court. It is advised to not take out random large sums from joint accounts and or use joint credit cards wildly prior to and during a separation and divorce. Ruining your spouses credit/putting them in debt is not looked well upon by the court.

Does your ex work? My lawyer told me I was looking at about $650 a month for our daughter and that figure was derived via income disparity. On paper I made like $X amount more than her the previous year. I said that's bullshit because she is the one who quit her office job and is college educated while I'm in the Union trades. She is college educated and can find a job in her field I told my lawyer and he told me for an extra fee he could do research and see how much she would be making if she w…

How in the hell did they award her that much?
/r/Divorce_Men25/04/22 11:26 PM

50/50 but she gets her more due to work and schedules. Nothing is set in stone and has never been, but I typically get her 2 nights a week after work until 8pm and a Friday or Saturday night overnight if I don't work the next day. We tried the every other weekend thing and that is just dumb. We work together well and I basically can take my daughter whenever I want.
