And how'd that work out for you? I used to not even go on a date with a girl if she wanted to spend any part of it drinking. But that was too limiting

Can't imagine there are very many women who would consider drinking scary and bad but are okay with letting strangers smash (extra so for religious people- they're not exactly the hookup type). There's plenty who drink but don't hook up but not the other way around. It's just that one of those things is a way bigger jump in risk than the other. Also your keyword being date. Sure you can find someone who is comfortable having sober sex with you...after a lot of talking and a couple dates. But it …

I think sex and drinking is so commonplace but somehow also really taboo, that whenever the topic comes up and people's words are being recorded they have to be overly apologetic and take such a vocal hardline stance against it lest they be judged. Even though no one follows it in the real world. But you seem like you fit the mold perfectly- you know what you want in your hookups and sober people can't give you that kind of energy. And that's the majority opinion with the exception of some fring…

Your logic may still stand, but i think using BDSM freaks was a bad example on my part. BDSM (or at least proper BDSM) involves vetting of partners, usually people you've previously met at munches. Thus they're not really true strangers. If you ever go to a play party most of the people stick with who they know, it's very rare to see true strangers play or even interact. The other thing is the whole separation of sex and BDSM, since BDSM play is not necessarily sexual. Kinksters have no problem …

Assuming these guys are strangers and not established FWB's, that makes you part of the 10%

I don't think anyone's arguing that alcohol isn't fun, or that it doesn't make you fun or outgoing or carefree. It absolutely does. But if you were this absolute best version of yourself, only sober, you wouldn't be getting laid because for all your charm and charisma you'd still be making the girl feel too uncomfortable to hook up because of your sobriety

It's also not a good look to be more sober than the person you're on a date with, if you're completely sober and they're not

Does this need the bottle of wine bit at the end to work? I like coffee dates cause there's no alcohol involved, but otherwise it's not "how to get laid on coffee dates," it's "how to turn a coffee date into a drink date"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
