I think the subreddit name explains it all; girls vs women.

There are no assurances in this world. You may end up lonely or you may find the love of your life and live in absolute bliss. Nothing in this world is guaranteed, and no one owes you anything, therefore you have to create your own joy, your own peace. Then you will attract the right person for you that will add to this joy. And yes this can happen at any age, pre, mid, and post wall.

So he’s not using you for sex but he’s using you for emotional labor and entertainment. Seems like he needs a lot of work done and you have to decide if you want to stay knowing that you might not ever get your needs met, i.e. commitment, respect, or move on to a situation that better suits you.

He feels this way because he likes the way you make him feel, but I don’t think he likes or respects you the way he wants to. Does he express his love and respect for you as a person (regardless if you make him laugh or not)? If not, this might be an indicator to why he’s feeling mixed emotions.

I’m very sorry to hear about your friend. It’s genuinely one of my biggest fears, and why I hate that the general public makes so light of pregnancy and pregnant women.

I had to learn they’re not human like us, and that benefit of the doubts should be reserved for humans only. These things only deserve block and delete.

Damn this needs to be stickied!! I wasted two years of my life spelunking down a nvm’s psyche and had to come to the same realization myself. It was arguably the worst two years of my life.

I remember after I got my iud inserted how painful, violated, and angry I felt to have to endure that. It just made me so angry at how much we have to go through as women in this society.

“Why can’t I give you a compliment?” “I’m only trying to be nIcE to you” “This is why I don’t talk to women anymore” First of all, your compliment is only nice to you and unsolicited to us. Second of all, good riddance. Your victim complex and shitty compliments will not be missed.

You don’t have to do anything. Stop being anxious about something you can’t control. If he leaves you for her or anyway one else it’s not your problem, it’s his choice. He didn’t get with you by you consciously doing something different, you were just being yourself. If you change to be like her or any of the other girls, that may actually be what pushes him away. He may like you exactly because you’re not like them. Be you, be your best you, and try to figure out how the both of you can be bett…

Whoever’s reading u/pahapan’s post, stop, reread it again, internalize this. No, I don’t need to <<communicate>> basic human decency to you. You should have the wherewithal to know what you’re doing is fucked up or not. And if you don’t, you shouldn’t be in relationship with another soul until you do.

That’s the only point of marriage for me; raising kids in a stable home. Otherwise, marriage is pointless in my opinion.

You’re honestly brave to go to your mom at that age. I was too scared to tell anyone especially my mom and dad as I instinctively knew either nothing would get done, or I would receive the blame. To experience that from my parents would be just as painful as the actual experience so I’ve kept to myself for almost thirty years. I hope you’re receiving healing from this as well. 💗💗
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/21 10:13 PM

Exactly, I felt extreme shame because I assumed I was the only one experiencing this. But honestly the metoo movement illuminated something for me in that sharing our shame is actually powerful and healing. Talk about a mind duck and aha moment all at once. Now I feel compelled to share my experiences to bring this dark disgusting experience to the light were it can be properly dealt with. I don’t mind sacrificing if it means one less child is prevented from experiencing this in the first place.…

I am horrified and so hurt by what you had to go through. You are so strong and admirable to survive this literal torture. The reproductive abuse and trials women experience weighs heavy on my heart, and why I’m so thankful that FDS is a community that values women and everything we have to endure. You have someone here if you ever wanna talk. ❤️❤️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/21 02:31 PM

Opposite; I was too easy and I became an unreligious whore in his eyes. I gave him what he wanted because his religious ex withheld sex until marriage, and I wanted to be the cool girl and please him (🤢). It backfired and made him disgusted at me, and mentally and emotionally abuse me for an entire year. I can genuinely say I’m even better than before I met him after several years of therapy and an awesome psychiatrist.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/21 02:25 PM

That’s why the strategy of blocking or removing the person from your life is the only recourse. Thank God he’s your ex now. They know their behavior is wrong and that they, in earnest, should be doing as much as possible to give the other person dignity and respect as a minimum. And if they don’t know this fundamental role, or taking initiative to learn so, they shouldn’t be in relationships in the first place. In either circumstance, leaving is the best recourse.

Please be safe. I used to cheat on my exes, and always felt a tinge that they could retaliate on me for having betrayed their egos in that way. These were comparably nice and respectful dudes, but who knows what they could’ve been capable of in those moments.

The resentment is so real and bizarre. It comes out of left field if you’re not aware that men can be capable of it. Is almost like they want you and they want to be you, but they don’t know what to do with the frustration and take the anger out on you instead. And don’t try to be a decent human being and think if you treat them nicer than you already do, then they’ll realize they have nothing to be insecure about. No, it just makes them ratchet up the anger and hate even more. It’s just better …

If I had a free award I would give it to you. This is the main reason why FDS is so important and why it should be required reading for all young girls. It’s like people forget how dangerous child birth can be and how taxing in resources child rearing can be. We have to be selective in our mating choices or it can end in our death! Being able to either do it safely or not at all is honestly all women’s moral imperative. Full stop.

Right, men were able to highjack due patriarchy where they set up an artificial sense of selection/ gatekeeping, but the catch was that if a woman didn’t choose at all it was to the detriment of her livelihood. There’s a difference now where we’re more closer to nature and how things should be where if we choose nothing at all it doesn’t impair our livelihoods in the least bit. I don’t think JP is accounting for this as I believe he still lives in a world where patriarchy still dominates, as mos…

Brilliant shit. This is way male dating strategies always bothered me for some reason. Not talking about deplorable/heinous/abusing tactics either, which tbh is a good majority of them. But just the run of the mill, so called generic male daters. The superficiality in their dating choices and the obtuse ignorance in why they have the relationship issues that seem to plague them wherever they go. It’s like, ugh, get a flucking clue, and stop dating based on what you think your low brain compatrio…

There’s no sense in impressing high value men either. All men should be impressing us. Our only role is to ensure we select the the one who provides us the most high value. If we’re investing in ourselves for our sake only, then men naturally benefit from our inherent womanliness/femininity.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/05/21 02:09 PM

Women crying and dying over men is the most useless shit to me. It infuriates me in its pointlessness. Ugh Edit I will say patriarchy did a hell of a job making women depend on men for survivability since ancient times, thus putting the bar in purgatory through our necessity for them. Men have had a ‘good’ run but it’s time to get back to the natural order of things. Time to put the bar back in heaven.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/05/21 01:57 PM

Yep exactly. I continue to speak from a place of truth not for validation or Reddit karma, but so that someone can have the same realization from ignorance and inexperience I too once had. If I get downvoted to hi hell but it helps at least one lurker or reader then the negative karma is completely pointless. Plus people use the downvote system incorrectly anyway. It’s supposed to be for people who don’t contribute to the discussion, but because you disagree with the opinion.

I’m so sorry you had to face something so heinous while having to sacrifice you right to justice for the ability to secure a job free of discrimination. What’s even worse is that it’s normal for women to have to face these ‘rock and hard place’ decisions every day.

This must be by location. Where I’m located, no one really cares if a woman is married or not. Or if they find themselves in a circle that does, they can easily switch circles and find a group of like minded people who don’t care either. But I do live in a high population area with a vast diversity of people.

They’ll probably be happier single than with a dude that doesn’t “tick their boxes” so to speak. This is exactly the case for me and majority of the 30yo+ single women I know. We’ve done the shitty long term relationships in our 20s and counting our lucky stars we’re out of it. Now a guy has to enhance our situation, which for the women I know is pretty high standards, or get and stfo.
