So why would you chose to directly harm animals, when it's a choice? Why chose to be cruel? The animals CAN fulfil your needs, just like plants CAN fulfil those same needs. Crop farming undoubtedly kills some rodents etc but nowhere near to the extent that animal agriculture does. I just know everyone likes to shit on them on the internet because PETA kill animals, but at the same time try to justify their own killing of animals. Also I'd say there's a high chance they're taken to a sanctuary.
