The phrase toxic masculinity has nothing to do with fathers in general. The way fathers are portrayed is not "the bigger point" of this post, it's a totally separate issue.

This is spectacularly missing the point.

Just because you can't think of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Have you ever looked into why women don't choose STEM fields as much as men do? I bet you could find some possible reasons that folks have come up with.

This is a pretty stupid argument. It makes the guy look like a loser who thinks he just went beast mode on her and totally owned that debate.

I don't understand why it makes you guys so angry and feel so insulted when young men are told to make sure they have consent before having sex. I mean, it's not difficult to see plenty of evidence that this is a problem on college campuses, right? Like, you have to be purposefully ignorant to not have seen examples of whole frats or sports teams accused of/convicted of/proudly chanting in public that they engage in sexual assault and rape.

Were you never taught about crime and why it's bad when you were a child? I feel that's a pretty universal thing for most people. Don't steal, don't hurt people, don't litter... But suddenly when it's suggested that "don't rape" is added at some point guys like you get all worked up about how insulting it is.

Yes I am point. First, no, they're not. Second, so what? Are you saying no one should tell boys to treat women with respect until no man is ever harassed? That sounds crazy, I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I don't know what you're trying to say.

At least that many are subject to some form of sexual harassment or abuse by a man who should really know better.

If a third of babies were thrown in dumpsters, that might actually be a good lesson to teach...

I wasn't shaming anyone's lack of sex. I'm doubting that the situation described in the post is a realistic one. No shame.
/r/PussyPassDenied22/04/17 04:48 AM

Lol, as if the guys on this sub have multiple women offering them sex.

Yeah, that woman thought she could get away with it, but her supposed "pass" was denied! That's what this sub is about right? Not just "I hate women because I'm lonely"?

I don't understand the problem with the post. If one sex is in a bad situation (mandatory military service) and the other sex is in a better situation (no mandatory service), then "good equality" would be when both sexes are in the better situation, right? I mean, are you saying that if someone is a feminist, then they should be happy when bad things happen to everyone, just because it's equal? If so, do you have to wear a helmet to school?

Apologist? What are you talking about? If anything I said made you think that I'm somehow pro-false rape accusations, give your head a shake.

I don't believe that you have a valid frame of comparison. You're assuming that you know what rape is like, and you're assuming that whatever you've experienced is "arguably" worse. And the fact that you even bring up your childhood accusation of being a Pokemon thief is pretty silly, isn't it? I mean, maybe you didn't intend to say that it's the exact same experience, but you must have thought it's at least a relevant comparison, which shows that you're jumping to emotional touchstones to build…

Ah I see. You had an experience once as a child when someone accused you of something you didn't do, and it was very traumatic for you, so you know all about how bad it is. You haven't been raped, but you have a pretty good imagination, and you're pretty sure you know how it affects someone, so you are fully capable of comparing the two. And it's a very simple and logical matter with only a small handful of variables, which makes it easy for someone like you. Now I get it.
/r/PussyPassDenied09/04/17 04:11 AM

This was a conversation about rape jokes vs. rape accusation jokes. You're welcome to change the subject if you want, but don't just jump into a discussion with a tangential point and then act surprised when it's assumed that you had read the previous comments. You're very dismissive. Do you know anyone who has been traumatically raped? Have you seriously thought about what the experience might be like if it happened to you? Have you looked into the countless cases of women who were not supporte…
/r/PussyPassDenied09/04/17 02:18 AM

Wow, you're just a nut, eh? Have you ever wondered why it's so awful to be accused of rape? Can you think of anything else that's not bad if it's done to you, but very bad if you are accused of doing it to someone else? But okay, let's say I agree with you for the sake of argument. You're saying that false rape accusations are such a sensitive topic for you that no one should be allowed to make a joke about them? Are you that fragile?
/r/PussyPassDenied09/04/17 02:02 AM

Are you saying that false rape accusations are that much worse than actual rape, or do you not understand that the OP is a joke?

Where's the "pussy pass" in this scenario? The woman in the video is ridiculous, but I don't think this belongs here.

First of all, how is that a "pussy pass"? If you think it's illogical, fine, we can discuss how you're wrong about that, but it's certainly not a woman trying to get away with something simply because she's a woman. Second, that makes no sense at all. Say you lived in a town with way too few police officers. You would be justified in saying "this town needs more police officers!" even if you weren't a police officer, and had no intention of becoming a police officer. You wouldn't be using a "pus…

What's the "pussy pass" in this scenario? Or is this sub just "I hate women! Someone please touch my penis, I'm so lonely!" now?

The logic of the guy in this scenario seems to be "if there exists a woman without a STEM degree, then misogyny cannot be a factor in the lack of women with STEM degrees." That's... I mean, that's just idiotic.

...no? As another little boy said to me in this thread, "project harder please."

Or because the creator tricked a woman? A liberal woman, which I guess makes it funnier? This sub is not about women failing to use their womanhood to get away with something, it's about lonely men who hate women.

I was going to comment something like "what does this have to do with a 'pussy pass' being denied? It's just 'I lied to a woman and she believed what I said.'" But the top comment is from a subreddit mod who sounds like a 13 year old boy with self esteem issues, so it's probably no use commenting here hoping for a mature response, right?
