Indeed they are. Theodore Roosevelt, role model for the stoic red pillers, was a huge book reader and a pretty badass person. OP, you really lost it on the book hating. Edit: syntax

Exactly. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Call it ghosting, I call it deleting someone from my life. Worked like a charm when a past ex cheated on me. Plus it reinforces your focus. Excellent thread by the way.

I'm 28 years old, been gaming most of my life and spent a good amount of time in WoW aswell. I never faced problems with my masculinity or urges because I hit the gym and had various girlfriends at the same time. I believe it has to do with the individual himself and not gaming, if he's mentally disciplined and how he will let "addictions" to rule over his life. There's a quote by an ancient Greek poet called Cleovoukos, “Pan metrion ariston” (Everything in consideration / Moderation in all thin…

Rocking a lumberjack beard. The balls still get the clean shaven treatment. Sweat and hairy balls don't go quite well.

Not really, that's for the broken hearted egotistical creeps who are hell bount on breaking girls after they got their hearts broken in their early high school romance. There are nice girls and bad girls out in the world. There are girls who will treat you right for who you are, and there are girls who will manipulate you as a means to an end.

I'm a firm believer that an individual needs to obtain experience, little by little and learn how to handle these encounters rather than reading e-books written by "artists", teaching strategy with timed actions (for example: touch her within 4 minutes after X response) and on the long run confusing himself with made up terms (Kino, Dark Triad, Negging etc). And for the sake of it, here's some personal insight: out of curiosity I have read PUA ebooks, written by well known "artists" and a handfu…

Just have fun, be suave and be yourself. Kino, escalation and other made up words just make you end up with the analysis-paralysis effect. Just hangout out with the ladies and be playful. That's the key element. Not timed touching and planned strategy. Just be playful and humorous. Source: Personal experience. Edit: Fixed typo.

"I don't know what to do" = "I have a decision to make. <--- This is accurate. I even witnessed it too.

Really enjoyed this, I wish all the best for you and your children! I'm happy you have two genuine friends by your side that helped you stand up on your feet again. Also +1 to Alexia for being an awesome woman for sticking with Joey, he sounds like a really cool guy to hang out with!

What /u/trpMilo said. It was a lost case from the beginning. Focus on personal development, keep on improving and trim some extra weight along the way. You can do it brother.

You don't need toxic people in your life. Fuck her, she's lame for ditching you for her YOLO phase that night. You are man enough to stand your ground and values. You will meet someone better, trust me, it'll come unexpectedly. :)

You don't need books and theory, you need practice. Memorize quotes from your favourite celebs/authors/singers or whatever, stand in front of a mirror and recite while looking into yourself. Do this frequently. Trust me, it'll work. You don't need books and theorycrafting.

Spot on brother. From our mistakes we learn, hence trial and error will improve you as a person. Still, you are a boss for approaching her. Just keep it short next time and you're set.

Your game was going well up to that awkward end-of-the-line discussion. Next time say you gotta dash, get her phone number and drop a text after a couple hours whilst focusing on other activities. In short: don't linger around that long next time! :)

''I didn't have success with women and people in general until I had my heart broken for the first time. So, getting my heart broken made me become a man. Don't be afraid of getting your heart broken''. THIS changed me when I got heart broken too. Solid advice, thumbs up.

You are doing great in your life but inside, deep down, you feel devastated. I know, I've been through that 5 months ago when she broke up with me and went on getting into a relationship with someone I knew, despite her claiming she wanted to be single. Bullshit cough. Here's one protip you have to keep in mind all the time: Personal Growth. Go have fun with friends, let loose your suppresed party animal, have a few drinks, meet new people with the prospect of being friends, have a good laugh li…

Whatever crap guidelines or ebooks by PUA's you read, nothing compares to the golden advice your team mate gave you. I'm happy you kept repeating mate, rinse and repeat! :)
