this is a true story; I was angry about a post on a mental health subreddit because the OP said something to the effect of all men are trash. I politely suggest this generalization is wrong; then the head mod of the subreddit tries to get me to calm down but telling me to 'let is slide' so I got even more angry and made a post about how this mental health subreddit who is supposed to be there for support for everyone is allowing basically hate speech against men. The head mod talks to me again a…

not exactly, I have a few friends but they have their own lives. My family life is complicated, I basically don't live near them at the moment. I have always relied heavily on myself, but lately I'm thinking it would be nice to try to squeeze together some kind of support, I don't know.

im trying, believe me. I have something called cptsd, which means basically that i had a shitty upbringing by parents who were abusive and too selfish to take care of me. Now that I am an adult, I struggle with self love/ care/ protection, among other things. I appreciate the response, I am just trying to find a better way and possibly better ways to connect with people, but you are probably right. I have a lot of ground to cover before i can really think about being with someone

what if, you are so abused by the past that, your whole life is basically a mess and you have to work at it everyday painfully to even start to alleviate your symptoms. For the longest time I could not even identify what my problem was. If you're that hurt, how're you suppose to ever get on top?
/r/seduction06/07/17 04:23 PM

alright, if you are interested, I will tell you. Basically I grew up in an abusive household where the way I was brought up was not conducive to healthy development. I have suffered years of emotional, verbal, and physical abuse that has traumatized me to a point where certain things like giving a professional presentation to the college community or even asking for help/collaborating with my professors is extremely difficult for me.

I appreciate the suggestion very much, I am planning on going back to finish school and I agree that it would be better for me in the long run. I am just very lost right now and have fallen into a depressive slump. With the push for more women in sciences, I am feeling the pressure to stand out in the market.

I think that I have legitimately failed college twice because my issues were not taken seriously, due to me being a male. When I've seen the school bend over backwards to help women, it's very disheartening and I'm considering not going back to school to finish at all.

i think feminists would resent the fact that we are sane enough to speak out against this garbage.what more proof do you need to see that the democrats pry on weakness and pandering? This Saul Alinsky-ite has been far more damaging and dividing to our society than anyone should allowed to be. How far are we going to let him go?

i am subscribed to /r/raisedbynarcissists and i think a lot of the reason why i was made into the scapegoat and suffered the most abuse in my family was because i was the male. My Nstepfather never brought himself to abuse my sisters like he abused me. obviously i was not going to be the one to speak up for myself, it goes way deeper than that but anyway just my 2 cents

I have a few experiences that I would not exactly be thrilled to share, but I will anyway maybe it might give some validation. I was with a girl that was emotionally unstable and had suffered from abuse herself when she was a few years younger. I met her during a troubling time in my life and maybe if it wasn't my first serious relationship things might have gone down slightly different. Anyway she has adopted this deep distrust for men because of her father who abused her and sometimes I feel l…

I am in this history of film class for the required diverse coursework (liberal arts) . Every class period I find myself feeling uncomfortable just hearing my professor go off on her typical liberal rants, its painfully predictable and just not fun really. Anyway today we were talking about alfred hitchcocks psycho and she went off on how most serial killers are white males between ages of 25 to 40 or something like that and it was just like come on! anyway yeah its an English course.

I love your post! I think we need to hear from more transgender people! What better way to maybe change someone's mind? I have heard similar points of view before and it just blows my mind. I am a straight male , but when I hear about people changing their sexual identity, it is always so interesting to hear about the transition. You have the unique experience of being able to see both sides of the coin while everyone else is stuck with their own point of view. I think its horrible the way men a…

I like what you are saying. It is, in general, where we should be going definitely. I think maturity has a lot to do with where we stand on these issues and also being able to recognize our own bias. I know I came here because I had been in an abusive relationship and as a result I am more sympathetic towards the men's rights movement. If more people kept an open mind and really took the time to listen to what other people are saying rather than just stick to their guns and keep a closed mind, t…
