What would be an example of an exit strategy?

If you have a friend, for example, who is known to be quite abrasive or roasts people, you know that their compliments are genuine. When they tell you something, you can usually know they wouldn't lie to you.

Yeah I know there are other guys out here too, but a lot of the beginner posts talk about having had sex a little before they started, and I guess I couldn't find a lot of posts talking about the anxiety about male virginity. It's definitely an inner demon I'm making progress on conquering. I've come to realize that in order to be confident enough to lose my virginity, I have to accept myself as I am, but it's still an ongoing process. I've been told that I'm a normal guy and no one can tell unl…

I understand where you're coming from, and I agree there's definitely certain people who take it too far and reach some problematic or overtly misogynist views. Essentially the way we often think about dating is with a fixed mindset instead of a growth mindset. For example, the popular mindset is that is person A is smooth and gets dates all the time, and this person B isn't, and we'll give person B some words of comfort of how they'll find the right person eventually. The issue with this is tha…

I guess that would be analogous to a poker player getting pocket aces. You can usually win even if you make betting mistakes or if you’re not that skilled.

I think on a basic it's obvious that you'd be friends with girls that you like spending time with but don't have romantic interest in. You don't have to have some utilitarian benefit to it.

Here's what I heard in another comment somewhere. 20 years old isn't too late to start. Even if you missed your teens, and even if it takes months or years to work on yourself and your game, you'll have the rest of your life to have an amazing sex life.

I feel like it can help to draw a boundary in life by having a "game on" or "game off" mode. Like sometimes I'm walking home or whatever and I'm in a foul mood or my socks are wet and I just wanna get home, I'm not gonna be able to pull out any charisma ya know?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Also gotta ask, wdym by becoming cyncial about the process?

I'm honestly in the same boat. I'm getting more comfortable with women, but for the ones who look like they'd be in a magazine, I still freeze up. Try making a list of things you like about yourself or things that you have going for you. Your self perception might not be accurate to how others really see you, especially if you have issues with self esteem. Also I think with extremely attractive women, if you really hit it off with a woman you meet or you start seeing each other, it'll work to br…

No problem, I'm a beginner as well so take it with a grain of salt, but if you're trying to work on compliments start with pretty platonic ones before going to ones that show intent. Try sincerely complimenting her glasses or outfit for example and try to do it with a smile. Compliments like that are almost never gonna be taken badly.

I'd love to say that I carefully planned it out to get her coworkers excited and push her to chase, but I honestly just had my sights on stepping up to make a direct compliment and that was it, so I bounced. I think a side effect was that the compliments I make like this are done w/o expectation and w/o any ulterior motive. As for your other line, it might be helpful to try practicing delivering it w/o any expectation of outcome. You could rephrase it like this: "Hey, I'm in a bit of a rush but …

Something I once heard was plan a "deadline" for the date by saying that you have to meet you friends at 9, for example. It gives a way to end the date gracefully for you, and it also gives a way to gauge her interest. If the date's going well, you can just say you're gonna blow off you friends.

Thanks, I’ll check the channel out. Do you have any tips on building conversational skills? On how to say and respond in ways that generate open ended responses that roll off each other and get past the awkward silences?

Thanks man! I think this is the first time in day game where I felt it wasn’t super awkward and I was having a lot of fun

Yeah lol. As I mentioned in another comment, I’m a beginner and my first goal is to work on approach anxiety and be able deliver direct compliments that show intent. So far I’ve been choking a bit on the latter or my mind goes blank, and I’m glad I was able to do it this time. I was pretty glad that she came back to start a conversation.

Hmm I see what you’re saying, that can definitely be an awkward situation for sure. As a total beginner my goal right now is just to overcome approach anxiety and overcome the nerves in trying to deliver a direct compliment. I wasn’t expecting her to start a conversation so that was a pretty pleasant surprise. I probably wouldn’t have tried to chat her up and get her contact if she didn’t seem so receptive. I’m also quite new to texting. How much back and forth should there be, or in other words…

You got this man! I just started like a week ago and I won't like it's definitely not easy for me to keep my nerves under control. A lot of the times I kind of blank and the convo dies, but when the girl thinks I'm cute and wants to talk it makes my day. Something I try to do is "warm up" a little by complimenting strangers as I walk by. It gets me out of my shell and especially when I get a warm smile, it reminds me that strangers aren't gonna bite my head off. Best of luck!

How so? It’s a genuine question, is it cause he’s just starting out or is the mall just a bad place to try it?

That's facts though. Some of the time when a girl gives you her number but never replies or is super short with replies, she likely gave it to you to avoid rejecting you in person. It's easier to reject someone by not responding than by telling them to their face, and a lot of girls have had a bad experience where a guy took it the wrong way.

Yeah honestly I think this is the most mature decision. Like OP said, rebounds and breakups are messy and feelings are all over the place so there's no need to act super needy or to put pressure on her. Best move on for now, and like you said maybe she'll change her mind.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I definitely have a bad habit of sort of lingering around and psyching myself out. On a side note, how would you handle other guys who are around the girl, esp if they're dating or something? I don't quite know how to handle it if the other guy is being possessive or kind of douchey since I'm nervous he's just gonna tell me off.

Thanks man! So is the goal to take her hand to break the touch barrier, and then start escalating by touching from the shoulder/arm and going from there? Do you have any tips on doing the "pull" part of push/pull? I'm pretty new to this.

They were pretty short convos that didn't go anywhere. My mind kind of blanked a bit since I'm still working on overcoming approach anxiety. I made a first attempt at a tease but it came across as a bit rude. I'm going to try doing cold reads next. Do you have any suggestions on good cold read topics or any other tips to get her talking?

Hey thanks man, I'm also just starting out and found that reading other guy's field reports helped me realize I wasn't alone or uniquely struggling so I decided to make my own. Personally, I'm finding that setting small goals and challenges in order to achieve "wins" consistently is a lot more helpful than the binary of getting laid or not. Maybe that'll be helpful to you too. Best of luck!

Thanks man! I agree that I need to find a game system/structure. Now that I scouted out the territory and got comfortable there, that seems like a good next step. I'm a total beginner here, do you have any links or further reading on different game systems?

Hey thanks for this post. I'm both an Asian guy and a virgin and I discovered this subreddit recently. I think you hit the nail on the head with the point about being ashamed of some part of myself. I carry a lot of shame about being a virgin and get really stressed out about it. I think I need to set it aside and like you said focus on loving being me. Could you talk a bit more about your friends who lost their virginity through getting better at game? In terms of working through the nerves on …

This is a group for people to improve, it's pretty counter productive for using inexperience as an insult regardless of if it's true.

I'd move on. A lot of the time girls will give you their number when you ask since some guys will take it the wrong way if they say no. It's just easier to reject someone by not responding than to reject them to their face.

One thing people haven't mentioned is pursuing your hobbies and career growth. Do it for yourself but after a while the progress you've made will add up a ton. Your hobbies will make you fill more fulfilled and pursuing your passions will show. The vast majority of people I'd say have a ton of interests they've never capitalized on because of fear of failure or fear of changing their self perception ("I'd like to draw but I'm just not an artistic person"). Career growth is important as well. For…

That's so true. I often fall for the "idea" of a woman I met without actually getting to know her. Reminds me of the quote, if you put her on a pedestal she'll have no choice but to look down on you.
/r/seduction06/07/21 09:48 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
