In many cases, women are fulfilling these tasks from work, anyway. Maternity leave is designed to allow women to care for their baby in the infant stages and prepare for work while tending to a young baby's needs. It's fucked up that this happened to the kid, but it didn't have to do with gender, it had to do with who was with his daughter. Neither needed to be punished. He's an ass. The real problem with this is that the officer wasn't punished. That's straight up discrimination. While it's possible that it's just the force protecting their own, it's also possible that it is felt that the boy had it coming. Neither of these options are in any way right, or excusable.

Okay...so this claim is made based on the opinions of some random teenagers that honestly have no idea what happened? False rape accusations are terrible. I'm not denying that. They ruin lives. But I'm sorry, I don't see how this proves anything one way or another. All this is is speculation. Rape does happen, too. You can't write every case off as "oh, she made it up," just like you can't write every case off as "oh, of course they did it." Both are sick, insensitive, and naive things to do.
