Not just robbed of choice - literally murdered, and replaced by robots who were unable to think for themselves, make choices, etc. Because the men preferred robots they could control. Very different than a woman who chooses to be a stay-at-home mom and/or wife.

So exercise, take care of your appearance. Stand up for yourself. Flirt, be playful, do things that turn your partner on sexually. What were you doing previously that makes any of this so different? Because it sounds... well, sort of par for the course, common sense to me. And not like what people who do take issue with some of the RP stuff are actually taking issue with. Also, you both dig the Capt/FO dynamic and sounds like you guys have fun with it. So... is this what some people have called …

Ahhhhhh. Ok - now I understand the RP perspective better.

don't expect things from your partner that you yourself can't deliver. I like this, and agree. I don't expect things from someone I'm involved with (or now, from my husband) that I can't deliver. I think generally, it's a good way of looking at relationships with others.

Sorry to hear that, and happy for you that you've made it through. It's a good example of how ideals about masculinity can end up hurting men. I hope the people in your life are more supportive of you in future.

Agreed. Face to face, say this stuff out loud. Are letters/emails generally how the two of you communicate about important issues? What are things like otherwise - do you guys hang out, laugh about stuff, have any sort of relationship? Because the way you phrase her rejections (wiping her mouth off? yikes) sounds like there's anger, contempt even on her part.

That's because the majority of women who identify with and/or support feminist ideas don't hate men. The majority of people who have been hurt (emotionally, physically etc) by a man don't hate men. It's not about hating anyone.

In your opinion, what are women interested in? I ask because I've met plenty of women and men who do not share my interests, and plenty of men and women who do (to varying degrees, of course). Which is to be expected, seeing as people are individuals and have different interests.

Women 'do' the fucking too, BTW. It's a mutual, participatory thing - people who are fucking are fucking each other. One isn't doing the fucking while the other is receiving the fucking. If you're talking about who happens to be moving more at any given moment... there are other positions besides missionary (I'm sure you know that). And why is anything innately degrading about sex?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
