This claim relies on a set of assumptions that don’t hold up. 1. It generalises from a niche sample “Women trade up for richer/higher status men” and “men discard women for youth” are both drawn from online dating extremes, not representative relationship data. Most people pair within similar age, income, education, and social circles (assortative mating). If constant “trading up” were typical, long term relationships would be rare and age gaps would be much larger on average. It commits base ra…

I think the confusion comes from treating “listen to women” as if it means “women all agree” or “women owe men a single unified position.” That was never the claim. Women disagree because women are individuals with different desires, boundaries, moral frameworks and experiences. One woman describing her attraction is not issuing guidance for everyone else, and another woman criticising that attraction is not exposing a lie. They are making different kinds of statements. The problem is not women …

I’m excellent in my discernment. I’m 29 and have gone on a few dates and honestly the red flags are so evident in the beginning I don’t know how a lot of women miss it. I couldn’t care less how good looking a man is either… sure people aren’t perfect but there are signs that give away someone isn’t a good person and is being performative. Sometimes I do think it’s the ‘I can change him’ statement that allows red flags to bypass. I had one relationship that lasted 2 years and 9 months and he was …

First, midlife dips in happiness happen across the board, not just to people who are unpartnered. Being in your 40s or 50s and partnered does not automatically make life easier or happier. Many people are stressed because of work, health, caregiving, or unhappy relationships. Relationship status alone is not the deciding factor. Second, using psychiatric medication as a proxy for unhappiness is misleading. Many women are on medication because they are more likely to seek help, be diagnosed, or m…

I’ve met so many men (online-won’t be doing that again) who have done nothing but disrespect me and sexualise me within the early days of dating. Whilst I’m grateful they showed their true colours early, It also made me extremely relieved to be single than be coupled up with that type of person.. I want to be seen for who I am. Isit too much to ask for a NORMAL respectful man.

I think women are okay with being single if they haven’t met anyone. Doesn’t mean they’ll be happy or whatnot. Also many women who have come out of long term relationships/marriages have reported being happier single so there’s that. I think those who haven’t experienced relationships are the ones who are having fomo etc.

Yeah because you give people benefit of the doubt, he didn’t show his true colours in the beginning.

Isn’t that just the halo effect ? I don’t think it’s tailored to women only. It’s just something humans do. I met an attractive man a year ago and I didn’t let my attraction to him blind how he truly was (character wise). After a couple of months, I told him this wasn’t it because of his actions and words never matching and he was shocked when I decided to not go any further with him because ‘his looks always get him what he wants’. << his words not mine.

How’s that mental illness? It’s nature if women go through different bodily changes. There are women making good decisions despite that. Calling it a mental illness is crazy. Men have caused countless of wars. What’s that called? Since they are so logical?

Ahh, I’m so sorry, I hope it gets better. That’s waiting for me too😫. But this is exactly my point. I have no idea why a lot of men say oh we’re depressed because we are single. It’s almost like a sick revenge fantasy for them.

How do people take part in these surveys anyway? There’s so much research stating single women are happier too? I know many women in my family who are stuck in unhappy marriages and are functioning depressives. I also know single women who’d love to meet someone but would be happy if they didn’t than to just settle. I myself recently got out of a 3 year relationship because I genuinely found myself falling into a deep depression- as a result I’m very content and ‘happy’- whatever that means.

For some reason I can’t access the link. What did they define happy as? I think happiness is hard to measure.

Bless her❤️ yes today is way better. I think women were taken to the doctors office by their husbands and a lot of the women were being diagnosed with things like hysteria? And the treatment for that was ‘pelvic massage’..

They probably didn’t have access to get the help they needed. My grandma who had mental health issues said she didn’t know about them and just lived with it.

I’ve always wondered why some men always loved saying ‘oh single women use anti depressants more’. ???? Women in general are more neurotic. We go through so much bodily wise. I know many married friends and family members on them.

I am also a woman and I understand where you are coming from. I frequent the red pill space often as well as other spaces because I like to just engage with everything. I’m slightly older than you (26) and I’m with a wonderful 35 year old man who’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. He has never dated a woman younger than him so I new it wasn’t because I was younger. He loves me for who I am and I often bring up the red pill community to him and he gets baffled all the time. He said he d…

I think age gaps are becoming more rare because people have tainted them. My boyfriend is 35 and I’m 26 and we get frowned upon and get stares because you can visibly see the difference and it doesn’t help I have a baby face haha. Anyways the city Im at I see more attractive women with average guys so maybe it’s just where you are ? I live in a big city in the uk

Also communicate. If you have a disagreement, tell the other party to explain why what they did was wrong and don’t just say they did something wrong without backing up why. I found that to be a massive help!

I am aware that there’s a concept women find men who have slept with loads of women attractive. I understand why however personally I really don’t want a man who’s slept around because once he gets into a relationship he will find it hard to resist temptation to go back to that. But I think anything over 25 is too much for me. My 26F boyfriend 36M has a high body count (around 18) whereas he was my first (I came from a religious background so virginity is held to a high standard). He’s highly di…

I recently turned 26 and have been getting hit on constantly and these men get so shocked at my age and how good I look as if I’m supposed to look ugly ? So weird. Now I’m sure they’re having an identity crisis lol. My boyfriend loves women of all ages and doesn’t care about these things. Find yourself a man who does not care about aging. That’s through vetting!
