I cannot tell you how to find them, because it is different for everyone, I think. I can say this with absolute certainty, though: --if you have to choose between having bad friends and no friends, definitely choose to have no friends Make it your maxim.

I sometimes tell people that god gave me lots of nice things but a nice family wasn't one of them. Over time I have learned it is probably better to keep family problems to yourself. People judge you by your primary relationships, so stress the good relationship you have with your sister and try not to focus too much on the rest. Other than that, the best advice I can give is to work hard at self-discipline, as that will help compensate for a lot that you did not get from your folks.

Now, I know this seems a bit mean perhaps... This. Also, I don't believe you. You'll come back when the chips are down.

Post-nup? This is the first time I have ever heard of it. Honey, I am thinking of dumping you, however, I don't want it to be too expensive. It looks like I am going to make a boatload next year and I am a little concerned about you raping me in divorce court. Here, sign this

Go to HR and explain situation. No! do not go to HR. They are not your friend. If you are concerned, you can write notes and email them to your self (which proves they were written on a certain date).

Obviously overestimated myself. Not necessarily. You don't know what the politics behind the vote was. They may have made their selections before you applied. This happens with astonishing frequency. Don't let it spoil your lunch.

Not quite sure Buk is the model of TRP you want to chase.

Voicing your opinion is not an option in the environment you described. Don't bother. (Rule number one: Don't talk about the Fight Club). Good male drug counselors are hard to find. I say stick with it. Get your degree and pursue your career. I think you will find your chosen field much less feminized once you get on the job. You will have a lot more autonomy, I think.

54, never found a masculine role model. The problem is, you could be setting yourself up for disappointment. Men should not be put on a pedestal any more than women. If you can't find one, I recommend looking for positive traits in other men who you respect, and patch them together, piecemeal. That way you are not reliant on an imaginary mentor that may never appear.

In all fairness, I should mention that I have done this before: that is, posted the observation that there are no A-list women philosophers. It always follows the same course. Now it's time for discussions on the relative merits of Ayn Rand and Hannah Arendt. Next up is Simone de Beauvoir.

Hannah Arendt is one of the greatest philosophers of the past century. This just simply isn't true.

Try this just for grins and giggles: Try posting a politely worded suggestion that there really have never been any A-list philosophers who are women. Yup, zero. Then walk away for about five minutes. When you come back, you will invariably find someone has answered your thread listing great women philosophers. Invariably, they will list Hypahtia of Alexandria, Ayn Rand, Simone de Beauvoir and a few others (they googled and came back with the results from the Wiki). You can patiently explain tha…

The easiest way is to teach English (ESL). There are many sites that have job advertisements for teaching positions outside of the U.S. One very popular site with job boards is Dave's ESL Cafe -- www.eslcafe.com Aside from teaching, many people make high salaries by working for multi-national companies. Here, it depends on your field and background. It is also possible to study abroad, which can turn into a job after you graduate. Foreign graduate schools often like having American students on t…

I think this might be the rub. You have to ask your mom in order to take a red pill job. Clear that up and I think you will be in a much better position.

Your friend is obviously getting something positive from the relationship. It sounds like he prefers for her to be a virgin. I wouldn't do it, and obviously you wouldn't, but I don't think TRP is the answer if he doesn't want to change it. I think you should move on.

Rape accusations don't go away. They are indelible. For that reason, I think you should take an aggressive and fairly open stance to tell your community what your side of the story is. You cannot repair all the damage, but you can take steps to prevent further damage. At this point, I advise you to do so.

That is absolutely NOT A FACT. Check with real doctors they will say for sure it's no fact whatsoever. This is sort of important, I think. It is a fact that circumcision protects against HIV: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1127372/ Briefly: "The majority of men who are HIV positive have been infected through the penis. There is conclusive epidemiological evidence to show that uncircumcised men are at a much greater risk of becoming infected with HIV than circumcised men. The inner …

If it negatively impacted the health and wellbeing of the recipient in any way, I would be against it. The fact is, circumcision is healthy. It removes a place where viruses and infections have a tendency to proliferate. Any downside is very minimal compared to the advantages.
