Peterson has advice that has legitimately helped some young men from what I have heard from them, and he's not as toxic as others that these people tend to follow. But he's basically just a redressed christian conservative who is smarter about how he makes his arguments. I won't deny his accomplishments in his field and that he understands aspects of human behavior, but I believe he misapplies these into his framework. His talk about 'archetypes' is is something I really would contend, because i…

This kind of reminds me of the fact that Peterson cried about funding being denied for his grant that was about what personality traits are tied to liberalism/ conservatism, ...and I am like...It is obvious that they would deny his grant because he has such a clear bias from his political involvement in the public sphere. But he will label it as people trying to suppress his endeavors...Just like people in your example will say if you object to their studies, that you are wanting to not acknowle…

I can say that I tend to have a personality that makes it take a lot longer to get attached to people. I will have even friends burst with attachment that is wayyy too early for me, and I kind of have to skirt around the truth that I just don't feel the same way yet. Once I pass over that threshold , though I get pretty deep feelings for the person , but it can take me a year to even two years. (I don't have romantic relationships so I have to talk about platonic ones). Maybe she is just one of …

, romance movies for guys >>I kind of think this isn't really true, it's just the main 'focus' isn't really the romance, but it's just as much there. Ready Player One is kind of a male romance novel..I don't know i feel like we need to reassess the kind of boundary between the two. I guess it depends if the focus is the love relationship or something external to it.

I will say that I am thankful to MRA bringing more attention to male's pain in our society to my attention. They have done good in that case. My issue is that a large portion of them seem to blame feminism, and reinforce attitudes that I think ultimately harm them. It doesn't help that a lot of the activists associated with them have a really bad track record. As for MGTOW,again there were probably legitimately men disenfranchised with feeling discouraged with the sexual dynamic ( the way men ar…

I knew a guy who had this attitude and it was really unattractive. It actually took me a bit to figure out what it was , I thought maybe it was just in his personality to be emotionally aloof, which fine that is some people's personality , I'm kind of like that too . So thinking that maybe he just has trouble with growing relationships with others, I put more work into engaging with him. But then he dropped a comment that was in line with this philosophy and I realized that he was trying to mani…

O-e? A lot of medicine can affect your libido.........My friend's bf is on anxiety / depression meds and he hardly ever wants to have sex. She's not freaking out about it, she just has to work more to get him in the moooooodddd. You can figure this out. It's not something to freak out about. Just talk to her. It's not really just going to make her totally hate you or something? Like waht?

I'm glad you reached out to your mother...I'm female, and I don't want to undermine the way society puts pressure on men 's emotional health , but I grew up feeling like I should not bring troubles to anyone , because of not wanting to hurt the other person. Maybe this is the same side of the coin for girls? Consider the feelings of others even at the expense of the health of the relationship? I've only recently started reaching out to my siblings and parents and trying to mend our family after …

That's because that line was actually humorous and people wouldn't necessarily think you are serious. Teasing and joking is fun . Confidence is good, being an entitled asshat is not. My experience has been that guys who give off the 'I'm a cocky jerk, ' vibe have can actually have a really tough time of things. Maybe it was just the environment this guy I knew was in (an arts related environment) , but both he and this other guy gave such a 'I'm an arrogant douche' vibe, sometimes not even inten…

This isn't a disguised way of trying to push the idea that men are the only ones who really know how to love? Or that women only really love their children and not men the same? But men are just so in love with women like they were there children? I don't think men look at women and look at children in the same way, or at least I hope not. If you love someone who is an adult like you love a child, that's just weird to me . Maybe they would be the same intensity of love (which is basically you sa…

I think the red pill is partially attractive because it teaches confidence and it has a sense of community, things which are very very important for young people . I won't deny that things like that are good...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
