People seem to have the idea that teachers are anything other than normal people. Just people with opinions, misunderstandings and drinking problems like everyone else. They have no incentive to do better. I know a few teachers who are complete fuck-up that have no capacity for critical thinking. It might be your attitude though. Are you generally this negative about things? Building a good team atmosphere is important in the workplace. if you're being that guy that drains the life out of the room with negativity, then you're affecting coworkers. And that may have played a part in your getting fired. I know its tough to hear, especially when you're down, but positivity really does go a long way.
