For me it was realising that I just wanted to get better, and the movement was becoming too extreme and stupid. I could never bring myself to follow guys like Wes Watson and Andrew Tate.

It became too extreme as time went by. Most extreme ideology like the redpill start with what seems to be reasonable idea (go to the gym, work on yourself, etc…) then it get worse and worse with guys like Andrew Tate…

It's very similar to the self-empowerment and personal development space. It's always about productivity, optimizing your day, working a 100 hours per week, going faster, using your brain to "100 % of it's capacity" (laugh in science), dominating conversation and maintaining the frame... so on and so on. That's why I stopped both. It's capitalism at it's finest, leading to dead end to make sure you never truly question the system.

I think there are severals reasons to that. Incels' obsession with virginity is deeply rooted in issues of control, insecurity, and resentment. A significant factor is the belief that a virgin woman offers exclusivity, reducing the fear of being compared to past partners. This desire for control stems from deep-seated insecurities and a need for reassurance rather than genuine dominance. Additionally, many incels hold misogynistic and traditionalist views, idealizing outdated gender roles where …

You can remind him that most people don't need to undergo expensive, dangerous surgeries to be happy in life and find love. Blackpill ideology is far too extreme: it highlights superstars and actors who have had surgeries for their noses, breasts, or taken steroids, among other things, and then attempts to create a universal rule for success, claiming it’s unattainable unless you do the same. Moreover, billionaires get divorced, and superstars are cheated on all the time. Instead of concluding t…

Maybe you can tell us what beliefs you still have and which one you have already abandoned ? The reasons why I stopped the redpill is because I realized many of the so called redpill influencers were nothing like the archetype they are trying to sell others. Sure I don't expect anyone to be perfect but, as far as human being go, some of them need serious therapy, and maybe prison. Then I started reading book, Cynthia Paine Red pill ideology, lifting the shiny wrapping from the manosphere was ver…

It was hypergamy mostly. And the whole idea that the world was screwing up young men, that feminism liberated women detrimentally to men, that the justice system was heavily in favour of women. These days I don’t believe in those, I just focus on living my life, try to make friends in real life, my hobbies. It didn’t really change to « something else » but just stopping these ideas already has a tremendous positive effect. However, feminism did get my favor again and it is a cause I can fully ge…

What do you mean ? I was trying to get out of an ideology that is toxic and full of hate and misogyny. I don’t go back to it and I don’t let it influence my beliefs or life anymore. I just live my life. How is that not being ex blackpill ? Have you read Cynthia paine book ?

I haven’t digged too deep into blackpill community or their forums, but the one I’ve been to it has someone posting something about the way they believe things work and most comment are « rope » or « it’s over ». It might seems like they are joking but not quite sure. Blackpill causes despair. And no I don’t follow blackpills views anymore. I’ve read Cynthia Paine and it helped me reframe the whole thing in a non-toxic way : « Cynthia Payne Red Pill Ideology: Lifting the Shiny Wrapping from the …

Because I realized that lot of people didn’t have all of that and were happy anyway. The blackpill will use top model, actors, people who spent thousands in surgery, nutritionnist, coach and other stuff as the standard and tell you if you can’t be living that you can’t be happy so you might as well kill yourself (their word, not mine).

" I thought black pill was doom pill where people just lose all hope and melt into their beds though?" Well If I tell you that you can only be considered an "alpha" once you reach a million dollar a year, how long till you lose all hope ?

Understand that it is like that with almost anything in life. Sales people for instance, in order to sell a product, would need to reach out to 80 people per day. A writer, in order to get their book published, will knock at the door of hundred if not thousand of publisher who will tell them that their book sucks. Maybe it does but maybe your book is also Harry potter and it got rejected so many time, or so the stories says. My point is, it isn't personal even if it feels that way. It's just how…

I started balding early too. Took me a long time but decided to shave it all off. Still getting girl anyway. Another thing you realize once you get off the internet and start looking around you in real life you realize people look nothing like the blackpill ideal and yet still manage to have perfectly happy relationships

I left because I joined to better myself, I needed guidance and a community of like minded people and I thought we could help each others. But I found so many ill advice and misogyny. And the blackpill is the worse, it doesn’t stop, you feel like it never end. With the redpill you start going to the gym, eventually you start working on your career, you dress yourself a little better. But the ideology is made to leave you disappointed, you are never alpha enough, you are never good enough. You go…

I wouldn't say that it's becoming harder. But I've found a bunch of data online saying that meeting through apps have become the primary means of dating that people use today. Which is ironic become if I cross reference this with data about dating apps themselves, it says that matching rate it's about 0.6 % for men. Which mean people are massively using something that is broken. People aren't trying to navigate social interaction, they are trying to beat algorithm that are design to make money.

Cynthia Payne Red Pill Ideology: Lifting the Shiny Wrapping from the Manosphere

That's what I'm doing, I started by reading Cynthia Paine book. The reasons I am asking about red pills idea here is because, in my opinion, in order to get out of an ideology, I feel the need to understand why this idea is twisted in the first place. Especially since ideology such as redpill have a few good idea on which they add ton of toxic stuff. If I am asking question without replying it's because the replies are good enough as they are and I don't feel the need to push the conversation fu…

Well this is an ex redpill subreddit, and what I am trying to do is to get opinion of other on some common teaching of the redpill to understand why they are wrong. I got out of TRP teaching and relying on help from other to do so.

Real connection comes from empathy, not cynicism: Developing empathy—truly understanding other people's emotions, perspectives, and humanity—is what fosters deep relationships, whether platonic or romantic. Surround yourself with positive influences: The echo chambers of these communities are damaging. Get away from spaces that reinforce toxic ideologies and instead seek out supportive, growth-oriented environments. Whether it’s through therapy, friendships, or supportive online communities, you…

It lost credibility for me the same way conspiracy theory lost their credibility as well. I don't know for others but the way I see it you join these ideology with some very light theory, like going to the gym might help improve your life, and dressing a little better will help too. Next thing you know you are on a forum full of hateful people saying that if your nose is not exactly 2.5 cm or whatever you are as good as dead. It's more obvious with conspiracy theory, you start by reading about h…
