If kpop fans taught me anything is that korean culture has massive issues towards men. Essentially proving that this guy deserved to win (hopefully he will do something to fix it).

It's not you. Gen Z definitely is talking more about these things. I moderate a few big discord gaming groups and it's so interesting how often I see teenagers point out misandry and female privilege. And how often I see other teens even learn about these things there. I didn't see any of that when I was growing up, so the "upcoming generation" is definitely "more educated" on said issues. Brazil has a similar thing happening. Retirement is at 65 for men but 60 for women. So men can "change their legal gender" to retire 5 years earlier. Of course the "you know who" people have been throwing hissy fits at this "trend", but it's fun to watch either way.
