I would like to add that, when it comes to attempted rape, men are less likely to press charges because of the potential ridicule and dismissive attitudes. Personally, I believe that a lot of problems stem from the fact that, in the past, gender and sexuality have been connected to all sorts of things that are only marginally influenced by said gender and sexuality. In the post, especially the fourth confession, I got the sense that the OP was saying that lighter sentences should be given to raping men, since women get very light punishments for the same offense.
