I think this depends a lot on location. I never ever get approached in my hometown (Portland) but I get approached all the time in other cities.

You’re moving the goal post. Yes of course if you have sex the relationship is no longer platonic, because that’s the definition of platonic. But sexual desire, or even the act of sex itself, doesnt mean two people can’t be friends. I have had crushes on and even had sex w some of my male friends. It may have changed our dynamic a bit, but the label of “friend” never wavered.

I never understood the premise that sexual attraction somehow negates friendship in the first place. I understand its unhealthy if you’re in love and pining over someone you can’t have... but if you simply would fuck them if given the chance? So what?

One of my first BFs had a massive temper. Punched walls n shit. After we broke up, I met a guy I found myself attracted to because he was so chill compared to my ex. Then that boyfriend turned out to be rather unaffectionate and uninterested in sex and (seemingly) me. after we broke up, I found myself attracted to a guy who practically worshipped the ground I walked on and seemed super into me compared to my ex. We later broke up because I found him extremely clingy and had no life beyond follow…

Nothing is being normalized here. If anything it’s being shamed via name calling like, “simp.” This behavior has been around since the dawn of sex work. The difference is women have more control doing SW on their own terms thanks to the Internet cutting out the (exploitative) middle man. Now the victim narrative has shifted from the women to the men. But both sides are more autonomous than ever.

I’ve been in the adult industry for over 10 years. Sex workers fall in love, date and get married with varying levels of success just like everyone else. The type of men they attract is not any better/worse than the men my non-sex worker friends attract. Every time I try to tell someone this who refuses to believe me (always someone who’s not in the adult industry) they use circular reasoning: men who date sex workers are indecent simps, and theyre indecent simps because they date sex workers.

And where are all these 'plenty of guys' now? Not with you, after all of that. Just consider, you may have always been a temporary plan. I broke up with all of them, except one. For various reasons, none of which had to do with my sexual past. Im still friends with most of them. When people are truly in love, people can't imagine the rest of their lives without that person. I think thats a very naive view of love. People fall out of it all the time. It almost never lasts forever. I don't believe…

I told them because I like to share my life with my partner. That’s a part of intimacy. And I know they were serious relationships because I know what serious relationships look like: spending large amounts of time with each other, blending friend groups, living together, meeting the parents, being vulnerable with one another, having each other’s back, & just generally being their when we need each other. You made it perfectly clear to me how you feel about these things and I certainly believe y…

I personally know a guy who was a virgin until he was 27 until he finally just hired a SWer. He was so terrified of sex he actually paid for her time for several sessions and didn’t even fuck her. Finally she encouraged him enough to go all the way and it was a huge relief for him. Not long after that she introduced him a friend of hers that ended up being his first girlfriend. They dated for a year. It’s been several years now and he’s dated plenty and had several girlfriends. He certainly stil…

It matters if we’re dating. But luckily we’re not! You do you.

Yeah I don’t know about that. I’ve told plenty of guys I seriously dated about my sexual escapades (threesomes, orgies, etc) and they were completely unbothered. If they wanted to know my n-count they know i wouldn’t be shy about telling them. I can only assume they just didn’t because it’s a silly question that doesn’t matter. Maybe it’s because I run in different circles, or that I’m not in my early 20s anymore, but if I met a guy who clearly cared or showed any signs of jealousy over my past …

I had no clue what n-count even meant until I started following these forums. It’s fascinating to me that this is apparently a concern for many guys here. I have never in my life had a guy even ask me or care. I have a sneaking suspicion that most guys on here who say they care about this sort of thing have some idea in their head about what a high n-count girl is “like” (AWALT, amirite?) but if he really fell hard for an amazing woman, only to find out she, ya know, lived her life before she me…

Bad press is still press. I’m not saying the people I know think poorly of “the redpill mindset,” I’m saying they have no idea what it is. I bet if I polled all the men I know and asked them what being “red pilled” meant they would guess something about the matrix or maybe becoming politically conservative (if they’re really online) As far as PUA stuff, I feel like that stuff peaked in the mid-aughts when The Game was published. I never ever hear about this stuff unless I go directly to the sour…

I feel like it’s the opposite. I browse red pill forums out of curiosity and I feel like I’m peering into another planet. Unless the men I know are just hiding it well I honestly don’t know anyone irl who thinks like this. Maybe it depends on the location? Age group? Some other demographic Im outside of? I dunno.

Yes. This. Also men confuse being “nice” with being a pushover. Women are attracted to strength. You can be kind and strong. But a lot of men don’t grasp that and just go the asshole route instead, which works just the same on women who don’t know any better or haven’t grown out of that.
/r/ExRedPill17/08/20 04:05 AM
7

True. Also I think the things women almost always find attractive (humor, confidence, status, etc) are about who a man is, not what hes doing. They’re things that can be developed over time, but you can’t just phone it in on a date. So what do you say to a guy who has none of those traits but asks you for advice? “Be a different person?” Ouch. Most of us aren’t that harsh.
/r/ExRedPill17/08/20 04:01 AM

I think women give bad advice because attraction is elusive. Most men will be interested in most women, so as long as a woman does XYZ there’s no problem. But there’s no simple steps men can take to make himself attractive to a woman who’s simply not attracted to him, so women just give basic advice like “be yourself” and “be nice.” Anything more than that and you’re getting into manipulative PUA territory and obviously women aren’t going to give that kind of advice.

I think the reason some people get defensive or upset when one proclaims that “women get older,” is because it doesn’t need to be said. You’re not revealing some grand mystery of life. It’s a basic fact we’ve all known since we were children. We get it. It's a trade-off. One I’m glad I made! If I had married any of the men I seriously dated in my 20s I would hate my life and be divorced right now. I didn’t know a damn thing about what I wanted in a forever partner in my 20s. Looking back, if I c…

Onlyfans sex worker nonmonogamous high n-count femoid trash here. Needless to say I am grateful for the sexual revolution. I have always loved sex and have never been interested in marriage or long term commitment from a man. In theory I’ve never been totally against it, I’ve just never ever met a man that I thought “yeah, you, FOREVER.” Honestly it feels like a horror story. Correct. Most men are not amazing at sex, so therefore it is difficult for me to find one who is. I’m not sure what your argument is? It sounds like we agree.

Those aren’t mutually exclusive. That said, I’ve been fortunate enough to have some truly mind blowing sex over the years. If I believed I could go out to a bar and pick up that level of pleasure with ease I’d do it all the time. But sadly it’s rare and I’d much rather have no sex than bad or even mediocre sex.

Someone made a post here a while ago asking what is it about a guy that makes a woman want to take him home after just meeting him. Several women, myself included, said it had very little to do with the guy. Rather, they were in a phase or mood that night to have casual sex, so they did. If this is true for a lot of women, I’m not sure they’d really know what to tell you except groom yourself, hang out at bars, act relaxed and fun.

No. The article says doing chores has no effect on a couples sex life. You’re saying it does.

I mostly agree with this, especially the last part about only doing things you genuinely want to do to avoid becoming jaded. The part I disagree with is this idea that women go on dates for free meals. I’m not saying it never happens (I read an article about a poor woman who used tinder for free meals, for example.) But how common is that really? Women have jobs. Women don’t need men to buy them food. Women don’t have “food” as their end goal when it comes to dating. Sex however is different. Me…

Yeah that’s not the question tho. Just because women value status/resources doesn’t mean men “gate keep” it. Women can get those things on their own. But men cannot get sex on their own (the straight ones anyway) they need women. And since women don’t need sex the same way men do, women gate keep it.

How are men the gatekeepers of resources and status..? Maybe this is a cultural thing, but where Im from women have the option to work and obtain their own status and resources. No man required.

This is the blue pill fallacy which can easily be proven false by men who are sexually successful yet don't want to sell their commitment cheaply. Right.. They're exploring their options. You're making my point.

Theres nothing in that report that ties female unhappiness with having more options.

Hypothesis: the type of person who hates the idea of someone “exploring their options” is the type of person who doesn’t have any.

Settling down is a big decision, no? We should be exploring our options... right?? If we just choose whoever we first interact with then we arent being very selective and that person shouldnt feel particularly special. Our grandparents never did this because they never had the opportunity (technology) to explore beyond their immediate vicinity. Maybe that made for longer marriages, but did it make for prolonged happiness? Edit: typo

Im sure that's a pretty big motivator for a lot of women, but not me specifically. I work in the adult industry and I surround myself with people who are very open minded sexually, so slut shaming isn't really something that deters me. I like travel sex because 1. I like to indulge in all things when I travel and 2. men tend to like me more than I like them after we fuck. Having sex under these conditions naturally comes with the built in boundaries I look for in a more casual hook up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/20 06:41 PM

Agreed. I typically have casual sex when I’m traveling. Something about the thrill of exploring a new place that makes me want to have a hot fling. I seek out the first guy that’s cute and fun. Wouldn’t think twice about him if I met him in my hometown.

You make a good point. But I think you would feel differently if you experienced that kind of attention frequently and starting from the moment you hit puberty. I too, didn’t mind the first time someone cat called me when I was 12 years. In fact, I found it flattering and exciting. And yes, I’m sure if women experienced just one or two catcalls in their whole life they wouldn’t be bothered either. But when you receive unwanted sexual attention all the time for years, when it occasionally escalat…
