Hey man, I'm sorry she treated you like that. She's definitely an extremist. You shouldn't feel ashamed to have been born a man or for existing. She sounds like a very angry person. I'm sorry she made you feel that way. Please ignore what she said. What she is saying is just illogical and anger fuelled, and toxic. You're not one of the men doing those things, and you seem like a chill guy. You didn't do anything warranting this behavior. You're a good guy. So be proud of that. Good people are de…

Hey man, helping can also be calling the police or getting other ppl to bring attention to what's happening. These things can stop an attack. I'm a woman and if someone was being attacked by someone on the street, I might not be able to physically help then if rhe attacker is bigger then me, but helping someone who's being hurt or attacked or murdered even by just gathering a group of ppl or calling the police can be a form of help and save someone's life. It's just sad that our society is losin…

100% this is so spot on. It's also kindof sad that something meant to be beautiful can also be so scary and dangerous.

Holy shit...like why?....🤦‍♀️ I would be forever grateful if someone helped me out or saved my life. I feel bad when ppl open the door for me 😅 Def a Karen or a narcissistic asshole she def is...who even thinks "omg this person saved my life or helped me...let me sue em*. Poor guy 😔

100%. I said I agreed with everything he said, but I find it weird that I got downvoted for saying both parents should take responsibility for having sex unless it was any of the reasons I listed above that caused the pregnancy. It's not unreasonable to expect both consenting partners to take responsibility. The living breathing kid is a person too and could be any of us. Most of us who grew up without one of our parents wish we had both parents or at least for our parents to be sane (for the on…

Eeww wtf? Poor kid! I hope they get him some help to cope and get over this. That's just traumatizing. And why the hell did she just get a reprimand?

I agree with everything. The only thing I wanted to add was that unless you got someone pregnant because u got Sa'ed or someone sabotage your protection (condoms), then I do believe that anyone who has willingly participated in sex whether protected or especially when unprotected, that both parties need to take responsibility for the child created, especially in places were abortion isn't allowed, it wouldn't exactly be fair to say that men can just opt out but women can't. Especially if the sex…

Thank you. I'm ok now, but my heart goes to the ones who are still suffering. It leaves deep scars and trust issues. And you don't even know if u will make it out alive. I just hope better systems come in play, especially for men.

This is so sad. As a survivor of DV who felt like i had no where to turn (I was pretty young at the time) I can only imagine how scary it is to not know where to get help or who to turn to. We need more men based shelters for DV.

That's sad. Teachers shouldn't be grabbing students at all unless it's a safety concern, like they have no choice to try and restrain a kid trying to throw a desk at another student (happened at my school), but random grabbing is a big no. Like keep your hands to yourself. U know?

There's so many issues regarding childcare, and I'm starting to think that it should be just place as a fairer playing field. There's a lot of cases of female daycare workers abusing children and yes there's cases of male daycare workers doing the same and I personally think that instead of stigmatizing one gender for it, we should hold both accountable and just make it that there should be one staff of each gender per class. This way, we have the two worker rule, and both workers can hold each …

I believe everyone should feel supported and have a safe space. I'm sorry if there isn't one currently for you. I hope that changes. Life is rough and you deserve to have a space for compassion and empathy.

Protect your peace and like some people here are saying, ignore people like this. She's prob really insecure and trying to convince herself that she isn't a narcissist by telling others "Oh ya, if u don't feel like I do about compliments, then ur deprived cos I feel deprived if someone doesn't worship me every few hours...see I'm normal right? U guys agree with me right? You guys also need compliments every hour or u feel bad, right?*. Idk, that's just the energy she gives. This would annoy me t…

I was about to comment this. I feel like most people under 25 still don't really know quite what they're doing. I thought I did, and now I'm realizing I really didn't haha. Kindof how I felt I was all grown up at 16.

I guess it depends on the circumstance. I can give you an idea of what happened to me for some idea. I was working in a small sandwhich prep area of a popular coffee place. Our job was to make all the sandwiches and food pre-made to be sent off...small team, 1 manager, 1 supervisor. We usually worked in teams of 3-4 and the supervisor worked 5 days a week and I was working a few shifts part time on top of my full time job. This supervisor of mine had a newborn baby and a wife so he felt safe in …

I would just be worried about the whole pumping and dumping part. Some ppl do lie and act like they're looking for a relationship, and they hurt a lot of people. I don't care what people do, as long as they're honest with their partners about their intentions. Don't pretend just because ur attracted to someone. Be honest about it..Besides that, use protection.

DW too much about it. I think they're just hurting and lashing out. I honestly hope they can feel safer and happier one day in a better future world hopefully. But thank you for coming to my aid. I'll still be fighting for guys like you and for mens rights like I always have, just not on this page. I have a few good places out there, and it's very peaceful and understanding. I hope the world becomes more like that. You're a good guy. Cheers. 🙂

. I don't care for generalization. I think seeing people as groups rather than just individuals or seeing ppl for their genders rather than themselves is just the craziest thing we have going on in 2024.

Ya, I get that 100%. Everyone deserves to have their issues addressed and I really like positive forums to help bring awareness. I avoid all the toxic ones for both male and female related issues. There's a lot of good ones out there.

Hey Girth, I get what you're saying. Unfortunately, I am leaving this group. There's a lot of hostility (not you) and it's hard to be supportive when anything I say has me receiving threats and dms...if wishing a man, who was assaulted by his wife, justice and care gets me aggressive dms and attacks, that's when I know I need to get out. I'll keep supporting men in the way I can on my other groups, but I don't think I can do it here. This is by far the most hostile page i have been on. Take care…

Hey JC, I've actively shown a lot of empathy on here ...pls look at my comment history on other post. I often wish things to get better and give kind words....but I am leaving this page unfortunately. I feel ganged up everytime I'm here. Not by you, you were gentle in your words. But more often then not, I feel like I can't even express that I am kind to my man or I can't say anything at all on here without being met by aggression. I understand you have a different point of view, and that is OK.…

Also, I just wanted to mention...for a group looking to bring awareness to men's rights and mental health...some of you really do treat any woman who wants to be positive towards men like we're terrible and then gang up on us...Doesn't make us want to stick around. I've done everything in my power to try and be positive on this group and be supportive... and more often than not, I get attacked...it's really sad, really. Like I said, I think you went through some hurtful experiences. I feel for you. Everything you're saying here feels like a projection against women. I do wish you well. I don't really want to argue over this, to be honest, and have my own experiences be used as an attempt at a gotcha. If you want to use ur experiences to project it on any possible future good women in your life, then I feel sad for both you and them. I wish you well. Hope you can find some happiness in your life. Actually, quite a few. I got told my emotions were not real and part of my period and that i would get over it. I feel like u experienced a lot of hurt so you think it's all women, but honestly, unless you've dated all the women in the world, then I know for sure you're saying this out of hurt. Hope you get well, man, and I hope u find a good relationship. Cheers.

I get it man, and I feel like it's coming from a place of pain. But, you kindof accidentally did say that, because you didn't say to be cautious. You told people "do not do it, it's a trap" so it's a generalization, even if you didn't mean it that way. I love my hubby so much, and I want him to open up, because I don't want him to hold everything in, hurt himself and end up in a casket cos he dealt with everything himself. I want him an old geezer one day, enjoying our retirement, having been lo…

What the....I want my man to open up because he needs comfort and reassurance when he's going through a hard time, like damn 😭 You all talk about suicide rates for men, well damn, can't I be worried about his mental health? I want him around till he's an old geezer. What kind of post is this? What kind of psycho women are you all interacting with? Get away from them if they act like they lack empathy. I can reassure u a lot more people do care very much. If it was so hard to find people who cared for these men, then why is there already a bunch of us here...I think it's a big stigma that causes men to think that absolutely no one will care so they don't talk about it at all and just seclude themselves. If those ppl didn't exist, then we wouldn't exist. I'm just saying that the stigmas not only make the subject of male suicide not taken as seriously by some people, but I also think that exact …

I have a feeling it's just to show that mental health issues and self-harm are a running issue for both genders. It's too bad men don't fail at it more... because then maybe someone could help them not do it again and get them some help. I'm just upset suicide is even a thing...Sad to think ppl just don't want to exist anymore. My heart goes to all the ppl in the world right now that are hurting this bad and I hope they don't succeed.

I read into it. I believe it's because men tend to choose more brutal and fast deaths such as gunshots or jumping from high places. Women are more likely to choose methods such as wrist slicing and overdosing, which has higher failure rates. The methods both genders choose def have to do with the differences in how men and women think in general. I'm honestly just sad suicide is a thing. It's sad seeing people hate their lives so much they just don't want to be anymore... hurts my heart.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. As a fellow victim of domestic abuse, my heart goes to you. Counseling can help you in your journey of healing and help with any anxiety or trauma. Take care of your mind and your heart. And I hope you get justice.

My original comment was about that, and why i think it's weird that friends in general see it as transactional. I'm not interested in starting a dramatic back and forth over a simple opinion. My opinion was just expressing that i do think friendships should be pure and we should care for each other enough to keep each other safe, man or women without a transaction of "whats in it for me". I just find it sad she saw him as a friend and thought he saw her the same, but when she didnt give him what…

Never said I projected, and never said I was judging strangers dude.. ur reaching. I'm just vigilante with strnagers to keep myself safe, because chances are there can be a dangerous person among them. I'm friendly to everyone. And polite. I just don't get involved with them. Am I suppose to hand out hugs? Like dude, I just don't wanna get close to strangers. If a guy said this, you wouldn't be saying anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 04:46 PM

I don't think being vigilant as a woman is victim mentality when it's more of experience mentality. Unfortunately, I alone have so many of these experiences that I'm wary of strangers, but so should everyone be wary of strangers. We're told as children to be careful with strangers, but we get angry at women who have experienced bad things for also being wary of strangers. You shouldn't assume another persons experience or make assumptions of why someone may have preventative behavior. We live in…

I guess that's OK, but if I was her, I would feel a bit devastated if I thought he was my friend and just stopped caring for me because he didn't get what he wanted, because I would just assumed we cared for each other. I get the distancing thing tho.

Seems like you believe that. Once again, I am talking about transactional friendships. If you want to believe that, go ahead. It's certainly not what I believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 01:13 AM

Not talking about SA stats. I'm just bewildered there's ppl out there that will help out their male friends but they change the mentality if their friend is a woman and they're not getting something out of it. It's very transactional and strange. I want all my friends to be safe. I would help regardless of gender. The mentality is just toxic and in some cases entitled and creepy. If someone is your friend, then ppl should stick to their scripts about how they treat their friends regardless of ge…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 06:48 PM

I actually don't get this. Why does someone's safety need to be transactional? Like you're not my bf/gf. Therefore, even tho we're friends, I won't help you? It's really strange. I care for my friends' safety, and we don't date. You can love and care for ppl without it needing to be a "You better sleep with me if u want to be safe".

Exactly! FYPs don't help. And then it's a massive societal problem. Men hurt women, women hurt men. People hurting other people because of things we think separate us, when we're two sides of the same coin each with weaknesses and strengths that can help make each other better and add on to the complex relationships between people. We also see this with different cultures, religions, skin color etc. It's always people trying to be better then others and put others down instead of accepting were …

I think it's just a massive gender war and our FYPs really affect this. On my side, I see far more men doing this. So i guess its based on what we look at in general. The world is very backwards and messed up right now. There's bad and good ppl on each side. think right now it's this big war of who can hurt the other more. It's a big societal problem. But anyone who thinks hurting others for their gender is a good thing needs to be left behind while the rest of the world advances. We don't need …

In all seriousness....what is spousal support? Like I get it if u did something terrible that made ur ex end up in a certain financial situation or if ur in charge of the kids, but regardless of gender, I just don't get it. Seems odd unless there's a reason for it.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Being falsely accused of anything can be traumatic. I hope you heal from this and find happiness.
/r/MensRights31/07/24 04:42 PM

Like I've told ppl before. I don't mind splitting the bill. I even pay the whole bill at times. We take turns. But at the end of the day, it's not an expectation for the other person to give me anything, including sex or ab expectation for me to "owe" them anything. It's not meant to be transactional. U do what works for u and ur partner.
