After divorce, my new house was painted the way I wanted it, i display my fishing poles like wall art, hung my fishing pictures and my antique taxidermied fish, hung my antlers over the massive TV in the living room, and have a TV in my bedroom. Also, my bathroom is clean...no more shit all over the counter.

Married for 27 years. Waited nearly a year, and then hit Tinder. I had ridiculous success immediately. I had a dead bedroom for 10 years, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to fuck another woman. I had given up hope of any kind of sexual experience. I secured some blue pills, and....long story short...I performed like a King! Turned out, I didn't need the pills, but it's still a fun thing to use on occasion.

Three years ago, my wife of 27 years wanted a divorce because she wasn't "happy." So she blew up our family, destroyed her relationship with our adult children, and moved to a rural area across the country to raise dogs. Her misery infected everybody and everything around her. Well, she still isn't happy. But I am.

Absolutely nailed it. God's gifts are around us, all day, every day. Faith....conscious faith...is what allows us to see these gifts. Once you see, or better yet, RECEIVE those gifts, you'll never be the same.

Brother...sounds like I was married to the same woman (27 years) as you. She was flat out mean. It got to the point where everything I said was met with eye rolls, yammering under her breath something nasty, or outright rage. Oh, and 10 years of a dead bedroom. After the divorce and a 10 month, self-imposed waiting period, I started dating again. I can't tell you how awesome it was to feel like a man again. To love and be loved. For now, get the process going, and stop talking to her. Sleep in a…

Remind her that at some point in the future, you will have graduations, marriages, grandchildren, etc. My kids were adults when we split. They knew that she was the instigator. As a result, that tempered her hostility a bit. Good luck, my man. PS, if you do go through with it, do yourself a favor and don't date any women for 8-12 months. Get mentally and physically fit. Get happy. Get a tattoo. Find yourself. The best revenge is living a better life without her.

Tell her that she is free to leave, but the kids stay with you. I told my wife that 17 years before we finally got divorced. It "scared" her enough to stay and go to counseling. We moved, had an OK marriage for about 7 years. A dead bedroom for 10. Then we finally got the divorce after 27 years.

Do a few things for yourself. Find your masculinity again. Wait a year + or - a few months. Then get after it!

I did that. I did the typical male "find yourself" after the divorce. Bought a pickup, got a few tattoos, went on an indulgent fishing trip....then started dating after a year. I felt like a new man. I dated confidently and with purpose.

Do yourself a favor: be single for a year. I recommend going on a solo trip (I went on a fishing trip to Iceland). Came home and started on Tinder. I created a good Tinder profile by reading about how to have a good profile. This is key: PAY FOR THE APP. I paid for 4 months and had many, many dates. After a few months, found a good one, and we've been steady for about 18 months.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
