There's a difference between being alpha and being a dick. People, especially girls, care about their names. Good for rapport if you can show that you care to learn it. Pretty tough to be successful at this if you don't care to know their names.

Before I started working again my first date was always movies at my house. Since that usually went well for me, the next few were the same thing. Followed by walks in parks... picnics on bridges over a river... cliche shit you hear about people doing. Make it a reality. It's not as lame as it sounds.

I've encountered that before, but under different circumstances. It's very possible that she just wants to wait, as someone else already pointed out, some girls are just more rigid about doing things too soon. I dated a girl for three years who would stop me every time she got close. Made absolutely no sense to me.
