They meant bear over an ugly ugly. A good looking guy will always win over either a bear or an ugly/average guy.

I think this is jumping to a far reaching conclusion. A man just doesn't want to be told or implied to that a woman only married him for his money/stability.

I just think it ends up being disingenuous in most cases. And yes there are women out there who have different priorities, I am not denying that.

A good looking guy can have that too "'I would like a gf whose similar to me, and maybe some freinds?'" And an easier time at it than 99% of men.

I can't even make sense of your sentences at this rate.

But a really good looking guy can have those average women and good looking women. He can have whomever he wants.

But the thing is, they will tell this to an unattractive man anyway, why?

I never said anything regarding your looks or my looks.

I didn't say anything about my own looks. My point is, if you are good looking, you will generally have little issues with dating. It is what it is. Of course, people can value other things if they want to. Like some people value a lot of money, intelligence, being good at art, etc. It's up to you.

Are you a man or a woman? I can't tell. Your flair says man but your posts read more like a woman.

The women themselves may not, but they might tell someone "looks aren't the big deal" and/or may talk about someone who isn't very attractive they allegedly know that does well dating. Again, you may not align with these women so you may not see their comments, but I see it a lot. Granted, it's not just women though. There are many bluepilled men here too.

Calling a man a simp isn't misandry per se but it can be depending on the context. Usually guys call someone a simp when it is clear the woman doesn't reciprocate the same level of mutual respect towards the said simp. However, there are definitely guys out there who call any man a simp just for being respectful, but it's not usually the case IME. There is treating a woman well, but then there is treating a woman well when it is clear she doesn't really like you and she is just exploiting you fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:28 PM

Yeah, second this. Plus IIRC most people did not meet through dating apps in 2009 anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:22 PM

I was specifically referring to Beta Buxxers. I guess I should have made that more clear initially. Yes there are many poor and ugly people in relationships, but the context OP is outlining is more the beta bux concept and usually the men in those cases are rich. But even being rich doesn't necessarily help them get much out of their league, although I am aware there are exceptions.

Yes, but there are also many women here that deny the importance of looks. I do agree such men should either just get plastic surgery to get to their desired league or lower their league.

I wasn't even complaining. I was just stating a simple fact. No offense and I don't mean to be rude, but did my comment get to you for a reason?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:07 PM

They are 100% still a thing. Just look at social media and people lusting over celebrities. These are not just young people either. Attractive celebrities have large followings for a reason. And it's not just a thing online either.

If this subreddit just accepted that looks are more or less the main picture, both sides would shut up.

Never said that. Good looking people were always valued.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 04:53 PM

Well that just proves my point even further. Most people are not only looksmatched, but status and overall SMV matched. I grew up in the rural South so I saw this all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 04:51 PM

I feel like there's also just a lot more women here; it makes it seem like men's voices and opinions are drowned out but that's just me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:45 PM

People always don't look at the big picture.

If you're good looking, you can have whatever you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:43 PM

True.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:16 PM

I think some of these people are just bitter about their past relationship experiences and projecting it onto us men here, as if we're responsible for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:13 PM

Yeah I think most guys just want one loyal woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 03:10 PM

It's all about looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:56 PM

"Look I’m sorry but not every man can live out his biological imperative to be a warlord with 1000 concubines." Where did anyone say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:53 PM

It's amazing how people on this subreddit don't realize this and still want to live in some bluepilled fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:43 PM

Yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:31 PM

Most of those "ugly guys" are usually just rich/well off older guys who are with women who are roughly looksmatched with them. Yes, they are exactly beta buxxers, but they also usually aren't married to women who are out of their looks league either per se. But yes the whole argument is disingenuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 02:12 PM

ITT: Most people don't really understand the ideals of either gender.

Yeah I agree. Face is the king, although if we are speaking for most normal/average guys, height seems to come out on top.

We should just start plastic surgery trust funds for men.

Men don't care as long as she is attractive, loyal, and compatible with them.

It's just about looks. That's it. Nothing more to it. Be they older or younger men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
