Can you elaborate what that something else is? Does it have to be social? For example, if I played Legos in my basement all day, that would be a thing I could do but it would hardly qualify as something else.

I figured this out way to late but - If you are not getting girls, then girls don't like you as you are So to get girls, you need to change yourself to be someone else. It's pretty simple really. The hard part is figuring out how it change. Be social, confident, have a character, be muscular, and be accomplished with goals. These are all ways to progress to.

Since I get no girls I don't think I've been involved with these guys. All the guys I meet want to be friends. I often feel like guys are lonely.

Wtf is this reasoning? If you cold approach those women they will view social media as wimpy? What bullshit reasoning. By the same logic I'f a woman goes on a date with a man she met from a dating app and he's confident she will now view all cold approaches as beta and wimpy. I get so sick of all you schitzo posters. Why can't you understand that "they" are not out to get you and that nobody knows who "they" are because "they" don't exist?

This was seriously helpful. Thank you man for sharing this. I feel like I have a long way to go but at least I know where to go.

How old are you? I'm 21 and feeling that drive you described, but I thought that it was something that would be there for the rest of my life. At what age did you lose this drive?

Hmm well it seems like you won't have much difficulty having sex in the future as long as you have some patience with her concerns

What are the different types of Status? Off the top my head, I can think of materialistic, social, and self perceived.

In case I come back to this the reason I felt this was helpful is because it shows that you need to make it aware to the other person that you are interested in them, even though for me personally I have felt like this wasn't a good idea for some reason. But now I know this I will implement it in my future dating life and hopefully she success with it.

If you really want to pre-think conversational topics look to popular media and see what's being talked about and then you could talk about that. I'm not exactly sure what it is, doja cat? But in the middle of a conversation my tried and true method is take something that the other person cares about (something that they would have brought up) and then you share your opinion on it or rant on it just a little bit in a positive and fun way. That means don't hate on it.

But what creates this chemistry and connection? Nonverbals are very important but having something to talk about is too. In my experience a conversation that someone else feels is effortless was a conscious effort by the other person. In high school this was a daily occurrence for me, on the fly I would come up with interesting and productive conversational topics so that it feels effortless but really I was thinking about it a bit.

In my greatly unsuccessful attempts to use Snapchat and dating apps to actually get dates... Banter works best for me, it's not fair but you need to make the conversation fun and more entertaining than Instagram. I would say something like: Oh you're into makeup? I've been thinking about giving myself wings but I can't decide if I want black or yellow 😝 She has a lot to go off here so make it your own. Also I don't know what it's called when girls have heavy eyeliner and triangular shape on the …

So from what I understand logically you feel that you deserve to be with attractive women, but emotionally you feel intimidated. I understand this feeling and I think the resolution is to stop believing that the opinion that these women have of you is more important than the opinion you have of yourself. So basically it's a self-confidence thing. But how to improve your self-confidence? I think that you will gain confidence by seeing others opinions of yourself as not as important. In the case o…

Well I imagine somebody will say something along the lines of "she's wasting your time stop seeing her"I hold the opinion that we're all human and in this situation it's not so cut and dry. Life's messy, she's confused. You've given her a shot before, why not give her a shot again? You've set your expectations and boundaries and as long as you're not putting her above yourself you guys could still bring value to each other's lives. So I'd say proceed with caution, meet up with her, and if she st…

You seem to be definitively correct in your opinion, but your opinion almost exclusively covers your past perceptions transitioning to your current ones. There's a lot of variation in life and most people are going to come from a different spot. I think this post will be extremely helpful to a couple people who believe what you believed, and unhelpful and even detrimental to others.

I'll check it out. I tried reading "feeling good" by David Burns which is also cognitive therapy and it was so horribly written that I'd be happy to give a different book with the same principles a shot. I'd love to actually understand those ideas.

It's worth noting that I might have not responded adequately in another way too. I haven't sent her any pictures of myself or a photo of me without clothes on in response. I don't use Snapchat, and I have no practice taking flattering selfies of myself. I actually find it difficult to text at all, and I put forth a lot of effort to make a fun conversation an adequate length so I can propose a date later on in it. I'm simply much better in person, I am great at conversation and presentation. I'm …

In my eyes personally it does not matter how much older they are than you. If you both are OK with that, like each other, than its really a non-issue.

Great points! In person there is momentum to a conversation, over text conversing has no soul. Even with emojis, gifs, and punctuation so much is lost to the point where it is hardly worth it. Hence why every single dating app ends in "message me on another app." I think that you make a great point about appearance. All those other things matter as much or more than appearance. But I do think that appearance does matter to some extent. Women will follow extremely attractive guys on Instagram jus…

Well if you are open to it and already talked about it, Do what is suggested for guys. When you are hanging out, break the touch barrier with subtle non-sexual touches. Escalate in the next date by demonstrating that you are romantically interested in her and try to kiss by the end of that one. Depending on how this all goes, you can dial back or move forward. You need to make her feel emotion and tension over time. But since you are both girls one of you has to take the initiative. Might as wel…

I'm messaging a girl i met of Bumble on Snapchat. I put out an option for a time to date, and I got a neutral response. But at the same time she is persistent in messaging me, and even messaging first. The thing is, I find texting difficult and disinteresting and I wont be able to keep this up forever. And after i have given the opportunity to meet in person twice I am not sure where to go from here. What do you think of this situation, and what do you think I should do?

The meat = OPs penis, Salt Bae = Man who comically drops salt on a steak, she not slick = she is not sly/clever. So he is saying that OP should drop his penis into her mouth is a dramatic way, authoritatively (make her), and that the girl is not clever in having him come over to "watch a movie."

Huh, seems like you did it mostly right in your own way. Maybe she was frustrated that she didn't get the call when she was expecting it, and freed up her time just for it to be wasted because of the importance she placed on the event.

I agree, and I think of it this way. Comment that breaks the ice Him: I love that bracelet that you are wearing. Her: Aw thanks! Personal relation that starts conversation Him: I was thinking of accessorizing myself. Seems like a lot of guys do that these days. If she seems shy you could also ask the implied question. ... Have you noticed all the guys accessorizing? Her: Yes, and I think this about all these guys accessorizing. After 5 or 10 minutes of conversation, you guys may want to get to k…
