It didn’t appeal to your logic. It appealed to your wants and emotions. Big shocker it felt good to be a selfish asshole who takes and takes.

I'm not sure how you deliver that in a way that doesn't sound insufferable

This seems like a good way to loudly announce how insufferable you are to everyone nearby

You couldn't identify good advice if a wisened guru slapped you across the face with his dick. I actually interact with women on a frequent friendly and sometimes close basis and can tell you that you're spouting bullshit you read somewhere on the internet

Your perspective is severely distorted by your hatred of women, and your statements do not match up with reality

The entire point of a LTR is finding the best person for you. If someone comes along and your SO wants to leave you, that wasn't a strong relationship to begin with. Looking for something better isn't a bad thing in the long run. Edit: Also compatibility is hella subjective, there is no golden objective standard. You could be plain and chubby but still have solid morals and virtues that make you the best person for someone else

They're literally just parroting pop culture tropes. "Women are catty and secretly hate each other"

Read up on how vaginas work. Or ask a woman.

I question whether you've ever actually pleased a woman

Maybe, depending on the details of the breakup

If you decide to unilaterally define all female traits as Machiavellian, then all female traits will seem Machiavellian to you. Those traits I listed are traits I see often in the women in my life. In truth all traits are human traits more than they are male or female traits. By Tailoring of appearance I mean the knowledge of how people respond to aesthetics and the acknowledgement that often appearances shape someone first impression of someone If you decide to define shit like courage, enduran…

Contact with one's own emotions, the capacity to care about others, the tailoring of appearance, patience, humility, endurance, nonreliance on physical strength

So by your own admission feminine traits are necessary for success
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/17 05:43 PM

I don't know, I'm not a CEO. But ambition and success is a broad category. Feminine traits are useful if you want to be an actor, for example. If you'd like to manage a store there feminine traits that are useful. If you want to be a PR person feminine traits are useful
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/17 05:31 PM

Some people have different goals from you, and will develop a different set of attitudes and tools in response. You also seem to think femininity is antithetical to ambition, success, and self sufficiency, which isn't the case

So you do feel that feminine traits are intrinsically inferior to masculine traits. As feminine traits hold men back in your mind. You seem to be implying that feminine traits carry with them weakness and/or stupidity. The truth that I've found in my life is that both traditionally feminine and traditionally masculine traits have their good sides and bad sides. Both sexes need a combination of both. And feminine traits are useful outside of traditionally female roles and masculine traits are use…

I mean to ask if an effeminate man is no better or worse than a masculine one, in your view

Perhaps, I'm certainly not socially isolated from men. I understand that men are different from each other. Not all of them (and probably not most) have these negative traits. In general it's useful to find out what cultural and social factors might lead to behavior that someone observes. I also have my own perspective from growing up as a dude. I can compare my experiences to those of others
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/17 04:41 AM

Fair enough, we both have different life experiences

So then logically a man can have any mixture of feminine and masculine traits and be none the lesser for it

This post is amazingly childish I ignored most of your post because it didn't seem to have much to do with the topic on hand. Neither did it seem to have much to do with what we were discussing. Rather than explaining how what I said is sexist you made a bizarre comparison between what I said and the rhetoric of a hate group. Then I made a 1 by 1 comparison of the concept I was explaining to another, widely accepted concept. Like you're free to just declare victory and leave but this still doesn…

You don't seem to have much understanding of what toxic masculinity or mansplaining mean as words. Regardless, I didn't use the word mansplain. Toxic masculinity just refers to learned behaviors associated with cultural ideas of masculinity that are harmful to oneself and others. Not all masculinity is toxic, and toxic masculinity is not inherit to being a man

Did you just compare me saying that some men are held back by attitudes instilled in them by socialization to the KKK? Let me make a comparison that actually works. Much like how many people in the black community are held back from reaching their full potential through poverty or racism, many men fail to reach their full potential due to being taught harmful societal attitudes
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/17 01:07 AM

Are there negative feminine traits then?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/17 12:47 AM

I don't hate men, and the fact that you jump to that conclusion so quickly is odd. On the whole I like women better than men but there are many men I like

I'm just guessing that your friendships wouldn't have these complications if you did understand women better.

That's a false dichotomy you're representing. You don't have have to adopt negative traits to garner some persona, and you don't have to drop positive traits. You can be sane, determined, sensitive and strong all at once

That's perfectly fair, I find that the range of human expression between gender to be two closely inter-lapping bell curves

If there's "always" one-sided sexual tension then I guarantee you that tension doesn't actually exist. Not every gay man you talk to is going to want to fuck you. And I'd say that gay men often have a different perspective socially than straight men. This doesn't make them better or worse. However, I am going to go out on a limb here. If you find yourself consistently unable to empathize with an entire class of people, then the problem isn't due to said class. Much like the "If you meet constant…

Reproductive rights is generally a woman's issue because their reproductive systems are more complicated and potentially dangerous than men's Military service is a policy instituted by men, you will find few feminists who oppose expanding the draft to women. Women generally get custody in divorce because men seek custody less often. In cases where the man seeks custody, the rates are more equal Circumcision is a cultural issue, not a legal one. And it's not really comparable to FGM because the c…

Holy fucking shit you're utterly clueless about how women actually act. Nobody who isn't a manchild should give a shit that women shit and have to adjust their tits. If someone's a creep you fucking report them

Probably one of my close friends who's gay and sleeps around quite a bit. He's a genuinely really nice and caring guy; reliable too. He's not perfect by any means, but he's a good friend

Your setting up a straw man of someone who dislikes fat/short men and then applying that to feminism. If you actually talked to real life people and feminists, you would find most (but not all) of them would extend body positivity to men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/17 05:28 AM

It's hard to argue with statistics you pulled out of your ass. Just because your social circles dislike feminists doesn't mean everyone dislikes them. Consider that if feminism was so unpopular, perhaps it wouldn't be gaining such recent traction as a movement

Generally you should accept the rejection with grace because sometimes people aren't interested. It's okay to feel a bit sad, but it's always best to move on
