Do I feel obligated to her? No we're adults who decided to go our separate ways. If we had kids I'd want to be there for them as much as possible cause they're my kids just as much as hers so unless she struggled to take care of them in her new life there wouldn't be a reason to. If she were a stay at home wife then yeah but honestly I wouldn't agree to her being a stay at home wife unless I made a ludicrous amount of money to begin with.

Women should date men that will, women should make it clear what kind of relationship they want and take agency with who they date. Women have the ability to leave relationships easily now so they should use it to leave if their partners aren't pulling their weight. You're expecting men to fulfil their traditional gender roles while leaving yours behind.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/26 09:48 AM

Oh yeah we should, more men should apply women's own standards to them, the only issue is some women seem to feel like it's a personal insult when a guy has a spine and refuses to dance for her affection. Honestly men and women aren't that different, the more men want to shed their gender roles the more I see women acting like incels.

This is one situations where the first stone was thrown so long ago men and women are just going in circles claiming to be responding to the hate. Men take credit for other men because women judge them based off other men's actions and women judged the same way by men. We see posts and comments calling out the whole sex and judging the group more often than ones that narrow it down. The sweeping generalisations are the reason "not all men/women" keeps getting shouted. It's not helpful to actuall…

Can we pick a lane already, do we judge the group or the individual? If we judge the group then men get credit and blame for the deeds of other men but if we judge the individual then most men haven't done anything good or bad.

When she loses attraction after learning a fact about someone then she has a problem with that aspect of them. If it's that he's bi then she has a problem with bi men, she needs to figure out why. You get feelings for a reason and being self aware is a core part of emotional intelligence.

So a man that's already convinced women aren't as cool as he is isn't going to be convinced by academia or by anything a woman says. His hate is innate and there's likely nothing anyone can do about him. Boomers die and new more progressive generations are born. I understand that so my solution for women is to talk to younger men before the manosphere gets them. I have absolutely never ever in my life seen MRA man call out misogyny. Most men don't publicly associate with the movement because of …

Feminism it's self isn't responsible but the wider movment doesn't exist in a vacuum. MRA catch the same heat, the ones that aren't just misogynists have been drowned out by the larger numbers so if they want to be taken seriously they have to put in the work to change how they're perceived. Feminism is in the same boat, if the hardcore ones are to be taken seriously and thus the movment as a whole it's up to them to put in the work. Unfortunately the work needs to be done and the only ones who …

Opening up when everything is alright prepares your partner for a worst case scenario but if actually dealing with them makes them feel motherly it just seems like said women don't know how to provide emotional support to their partners. Caring for my gf doesn't make me feel fatherly, she's my partner not my child.

It's neutral, when she knows what she wants is great but having to reasure her isn't a bother for me. It doesn't make me lose attraction to a woman if anything I like knowing she feels safe around me. My gf has anxiety and reassuring her insecurities or helping her calm down doesn't bother me, it seems like women have an issue with providing that emotional labour to their male partner. From my perspective it kinda just reinforces that stoicism that the manosphere keep talking about is leads to m…

I think society just hit a point where we don't need each other anymore so really now we're just airing out our grievances with our respective gender roles while simultaneously downplaying the grievances the sex has and trying to keep what little benefits those gender roles give us. Men and women are just the same shit in a different body.

Yes and no Every women is different and even on this sub I've seen women getting into arguments about gender norms for women such as paying for dates. I categorise them into groups and guess what each group wants but even then each woman will differ on topics. I know which group of women I prefer for partners and filter out the rest.

So men dont care about what women think or are but what other men think or are Again yes and no People care how they are perceived and try to confrom to gender norms. Men care about looking masculine to avoid ridicule like women care about looking feminine to avoid ridicule. Men don't care if a woman is confident or competent because those things are seen as masculine while women just think these things are supposed to be something any adult should show. The degrees at which people are expected …

Yes and no I think women on some level do care and how much they care varies with each woman. I think they care because they're raised in patriarchy to value certain things in men and those things are the same things men get ostracised or mocked for not lacking. You can see it people's preferences for partners, something like confidence backed up by competence typically being viewed as masculine traits even through they're not exclusive to men. Men aren't too bothered about how confident or comp…

White people are responsible for slavery. Are all white people guilty? Do you really think its reasonable for an oppressed group to cater to the feelings of the oppressors? Cater is the wrong word. It's not catering it's being practical. You want the oppressors to understand your plight? Then talk to them like humans who can actually sympathise. When you come at them with aggression you get aggression back. Doesn't matter that the ones in power started it you have to end it That or actually figh…

When you start a conversation by accusing someone of something they haven't done they become defensive, they want to prove their innocence like anyone would. You change the conversation that would be you explaining a terrible thing and getting to agree with you and now you have a room full of people trying to prove they aren't what they say you they are. Suddenly the topic isn't being discussed anymore as each person is trying to prove their innocence.

Not really a conscious choice, you are measured and measure yourself unconsciously most of the time and without a win you can only tell yourself to get over it so many times. In a dating context someone who's never had a girlfriend/boyfriend is thought of as weird and unless they never really tried repeated rejection will get at them. No amount of friends or family will remove the notion that they are undesirable, sure they might be desirable as a friend but without that someone confirming that …

Kinda You can have friends and family and still be lonely it's not a cure all. Someone with a rich social life but lacking confidence in themselves because they've tried and failed repeatedly at something will feel like a failure and if that failure comes from a lack of intimacy then they will be lonely.

Honestly yeah, during my college years I ran into a few women that poisoned my view of feminism into women who just hate men. While I understand that there are injustices women face antagonising the people you want to internalise your message will only make them view you and what you represent as the enemy especially if the individuals you target have zero personal involvement with the issues you face. Now not all feminists did this but there was also the right wing media running their own propa…

Remember that we're dealing centuries of social programming Men traditionally went out and worked, brought home money that women couldn't earn while women did all the domestic labour. Women earn their own money now but we're taught and fought for that over the last 100+ years Men are just starting to catch up to the new social contract and realising they need to move out of that too. Women are realising men moving out of that will mean men will demand more from them at the start of a relationshi…

It's a barely a filter. There's a 1000 different angles to courting on a first date and who pays has several different angles you can tackle that question from. You might find a generous man or you might find a guy who wants to treat women like it's the 1950s. Same goes for splitting the bill, you might find a guy who doesn't want pressure women by making her feel like she owes him or you might find a stingy guy. Everything else around the date matters far more. Does he ask about your interests,…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 07:09 PM

Again paying for one date won't guarantee a guy will be generous but neither will the conversation, having the conversation earlier will just mean that if you do get screwed over you won't have to wait around to talk things out and just leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 06:46 PM
2

Yeah but there's ways to start a conversation that don't come off like you're accusing your partner of something. Find one and hash things out, if they blow up at you then you know they're someone who isn't mature enough to even have serious conversations let alone listen to your needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 04:59 PM
2

No because you're discussing your future and how the household would be managed. A couple that can't have a discussion like that is doom to fail whenever something needs to be discussed. Maybe something like "I want to talk about the division of labour" or "how do you expect things to be when it comes to chores"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 04:52 PM
1

It's a possibility but then you should just talk about it even on that first date there's no need to dance around the subject in fact if you talk about it you have him on record stating his intentions and you can see if he follows through. A man could just as easily pay for that first date have no intention of helping with the kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 04:26 PM

Just like you claim women use you as an ATM, he is attacking his wife Key difference is that is his wife not a total stranger you're meeting for the first time. On a first date I don't know you and you don't know me, we owe each other nothing. The wife who's given birth to your children is owed your effort and attention. That guy had issues I don't dispute that but from that story I can only assume they never discussed how their lives would change after the kids cause few people do. This is why …
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:58 PM

You'd see they don't pull their weight in domestic labour when you live together and honestly you should discuss the division of labour in a household so you aren't caught off guard. Paying for a single date does not reveal ones entire character, you should see how he treats the servers, if he goes above and beyond for you once the relationship is established, if takes care of you if you're sick etc. One payed bill is a poor measurement for generosity.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:40 PM

Unfortunately there's a lot of bad people out there and we all have to filter them out and if filtering them out by splitting a couple bills offends you then you're just like the men who get mad when women protect themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 03:30 PM
1

Don't know about op but it's not resentment it standards. Wanting someone who isn't gonna treat you like an ATM and actually values you for your personality with all the other stuff being extras that go on top and not the basis for the relationship.

Men pressure women Women do what they can to keep themselves safe Edit: If she's gonna get blamed anyway she should just do what's in her best interest and keep herself safe. Why appeal to people who are just gonna blame her anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 02:47 PM
1

And she should take every precaution she can, she should do whatever she needs to feel comfortable, a guy who understands the life of a woman wouldn't go into a frenzy if she protects herself. I take no issues with women protecting themselves because I know I'm not the guy she needs protection from. Yes it's slightly hurtful to see women treating me like a threat but I'm used to it and it actually doesn't effect my quality of life so more power to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 02:41 PM

So she should listen to the feminists and split the bill so she can retain control of the situation. A guy can't pressure her without any leverage without taking off the mask.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 02:35 PM

My personal issue is women usually don't reciprocate until later in the relationship. If someone has to put in so much effort without being shown any back then they should leave. Women should make it clear when they like a guy and show the same effort he shows them. If it's splitting the bill on the first date then cool if it's gifts or gestures then also great but don't be passive otherwise a guy with a spine will go elsewhere because he didn't get the same effort back. Low effort first date to…

Yeah I agree men should lower their physical standards and focus more on personality. I think men should also focus on finding a girl that makes them feel special. I think women have a lot to unpack when it comes to how they view masculinity male gender roles.

I'm telling you no you've got your reasoning wrong. Also if we hadn't discussed this already or we had agreed no kids and I was taking responsibility would that actually be an issue? Better than just initiating every night and expecting her to keep track of everything. If I keep my lust in check because I we aren't ready for the consequences isn't that a good thing?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/26 07:53 AM

Really no, never once checked if she was pregnant. It wouldn't be the end of the world as we both have money saved up and my parents have been begging for grandkids would move mountains for them. Pregnancy wouldn't be an issue for us.

No I keep track of her cycle cause I know she gets really bad period cramps but she doesn't want to make a big show of it and would rather just keep quiet. I keep track of it so I make sure I know when to turn up the love and support so I can do what I can to make her life a little easier. We've discussed kids already and we don't mind having them now.

Oh no my gf gets my best but she had to go through the vetting process. I've written her peoms, gotten her limited edition handbags, and pay attention to everything she likes so I can surprise her on random days when she least expects it. I even know when her period rolls around and make sure she has everything she needs. Getting that out of me requires vetting now and that vetting requires you show me that you're worth it.

Nobody is forcing men to do anything. That was my point Never said forced just said it's expected, like it's expected for women to have kids. Nobody holds a gun to your head and tell you to do it society expects you to none the less
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/26 11:48 PM

Ok not all women said they don't want to be house wives I should have made that clear but each woman has to decide what they want. If they want to be a house wife and be traditional then there's no issue with men being traditional but if women don't want to be traditional then they shouldn't expect men to be traditional both in the beginning of a relationship and later.

Multiple factors such it's expensive to repeatedly pay for dates that go nowhere, it gets exhausting to repeatedly try and earn women's affection. Personally I keep things low effort for bit to vet if she even likes my personality. I'll plan a date, make conversation, split the bill and if she is down for another then I'll offer to pay for the second. Women want romance but don't give it back until later in the relationship but expect men to constantly give 100% into each new girl like she's the…

Tests are not infallible and some STI ‘s don’t manifest until later. Your “ logic” overrides common sense. Oh I'm not saying it doesn’t happen to men and women but people the narrative has been men should accept when women don't fit the fantasy and get over it but seemingly it's totally fine for women to not get over it and end the relationship because her man doesn't fit her fantasy. Not dating bi men is not prejudice. Not dating them because they have feminine mannerisms is not being prejudice. Mannerisms and how a man talk and carry himself is a big part of attraction. You really did just out yourself there. A bi man can be extremely masculine and have masculine mannerisms just like any other man. Being bi is invisible like I stated earlier so really you're just guessing a man's sexuality.

Yep I had a pretty huge disappointment after reading into feminism and actually agreeing with it when I realised most women aren't feminists but borrow the language to virtue signal or are too blind to realise their hypocritical views. The patriarchy rebranded itself while giving the smallest concessions and women bought in. Now they're working the same jobs as men without the benefits of being a man. Ps. Which honestly just says you never loved them and loved the fantasy. Sure a person can change and I reckon a fair few people do change over the marriage but I think women need to try harder to love their man and not the fantasy and that will come with a lot of uncomfortable truths and if that ends the relationship then it was better gone anyway.

On average, men who have sexual relationships with other men are more likely to get diseases And that is rooted homophobic rhetoric like the AIDs epidemic. Men, by statistics, also cheat more than women, so by this view you can indeed have the perception that bi men will cheat more. The key word being MEN not bisexual men. If MEN cheat more they should swear off MEN. They are making assumptions about a marginalised group and should be called for such bigotry

Again it's not about you fucking bi men, you're trying to say this is about women being forced to have sex with bi men. This is about women recognising their own prejudices, what they do once they recognise them is up to them. Why do they does a man being bi upset them so much? This question always get avoided and at this point I just think they don't want to out themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:21 PM
1

Yes and my question which every woman never likes to answer is why does he give you the ick or make you insecure? What about being bi is so terrible that it turns a man that would OTHERWISE be perfect, not perfect? Edit: I'm asking women to use that emotional intelligence and look in the mirror and figure out if they're bigoted or not. If they are then fine, own it and stop pretending like you aren't. It would make this whole gender war go a lot faster if people were honest about their opinions.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:35 PM

Biphobia is a social justice matter. You’re conflating personal intimate matters with social constructs You dodged the question to shift blame... But do you seriously think what people socially doesn't affect their intimate lives?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:32 PM
2

Otherwise perfect, can anyone read? They are all valid to the person with the deal breaker. Yes you don't have to date anyone you don't want to but you can still be a bigot while doing it, the two aren't mutually exclusive and dating isn't fair. I just want to highlight the bigotry, what women do with that knowledge is up to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:28 PM
3

I don’t like bodybuilders Being bi is invisible and instead of just owning that they're bi phobic try to shift the blame. If a guy is your perfect man then you learn he is bi, you don't like him now that you knkw the fact he is bi. Figure out why that is and why it upsets you so much. Why does a man being bi upset you so much?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 12:37 PM

Probably with a lot of guys here. As for me I first saw a few posts like this one and women coming out of the wood work repeating the same arguments as the guys who don't like women with a past.

I said otherwise perfect as in the guy is would be perfect apart from this one thing she takes issue with
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 12:07 PM

Not really but it's an honest request in my book and let's be honest here anyone who said no to getting tested wouldn't be sleeping with you anyway so this is really people grasping at straws and refusing to take some agency. Edit: In fact more women should fucking ask and if the guy gets mad about you taking a basic precaution for your own safety you'd catch him before you're in a vulnerable position.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 12:06 PM
9

Less about fucking you and more about exposing the subtle bigotry everyone has. You don't have to fuck bi men but understand the reason behind why it would a deal breaker in an otherwise perfect guy it and if it is rooted in bigotry or not.

I don’t see a need to change anything, women rightly get punished less because they’re not inflicting as much damage and murder So back to a pervious statement. If I used 50% of my strength to hit my partner but she uses 100% of hers does that matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 06:01 PM

The difference is in severity based on physical strength and intent Still curious what is the difference in intent? Why do we have to do anything about it ? So far haven't heard anything that needs to be changed at least where the law is required.

Inconsistent but not lying or manipulative. It's more said women don't understand. In my college years I interacted with a few and they poisoned my perception of the movment until I put in my own work and found out I actually agree with it but not their view of it. I understand patriarchy benefits men and most men uphold it in some way and at the same time women uphold it in their own ways. Patriarchy also hurts men but not to the same degree it hurts women. When you understand what feminism is and means it is but most people don't so using the language without the understanding actually does a lot of harm to the movement. Why do you think so many men think feminists are crazy? They talked to one who didn't understand the difference between patriarchy and men then factor in all the manosphere shit purposefully trying to make them look crazy has succeed in poisoning the PR of the movment to a lot men.

True. I'll copy something I said in another post. "This one of those things where there's a 1000 aspects to it so we could be here all day." Unconditional love is nice because you know the person loves you and wouldn't run the moment you stop handing them things. As for me I have zero intention on abusing that love but it's nice to know if I am injured my partner won't just run. Conditional love says if you stop X then the relationship is over. It sounds cruel when you leave X open to interpretation but X could just mean "loving me". Unconditional love sounds pleasant but leave someone open to abuse. When you take both their literal …

This is where we disagree. People should for what they can not just men. Men payed in the past because women couldn't earn as much as men now they can so they should and in exchange men will pick up more of the domestic labour. Edit: obviously there's going to times where one person vastly out earns the other and the split between monetary expenses vs domestic labour should reflect that

Ultimately both are true, definitely there's some conditioning both biological and societal but it's up to you to break it and choose a better life. Men choose to end up ostracised by society or in prison. This is a touchy one cause that is how society treats you and at can heavily be out of your control depending on where you live for example being brown or black in the USA can land you in a concentration camp or shot through no fault of your own.

Poem or some letter don’t even cost any money but you wouldn’t even think of it/say it in a first place. Why? Cause it costs TIME and is actually personificated towards this one woman. Like men want flowers. Please. I would gladly give flowers. I would prefer it than doing a meals EVERY SINGLE DAY, caring for his clothes and looks, singing for him (Yes, that’s nothing new), saying compliments daily and „physical touch” (means sex) cause blow job etc it’s actually what men consider romantic. Then up your standards. Make it clear that you want 50/50 but don't be surprised if it means you find a man who wants you to take on some of his traditional roles.

Nice edit 😃😃😃 A man? 🤣🤣🤣 Boy, all you said is buying a flower. Don’t act like men do more in a relationship, that’s the joke for most of the normal people 😂😅 I gave flowers as a basic example because women get them often but men never get them. You don’t have to feel safe with women, nothing’s gonna happen to you😂😂 . At worst you pay for dinner. Are you joking? Clearly you haven't had to deal with a crazy woman before... Honestly women put more effort in the actual relationship (in general and on average) so I don’t think it’s that bad a deal for men And women have complained about the unpaid labour that they do. If men are going to step up and close that gap then women need to step up and fill the other gap. Besides even if men aren’t getting flowers bought for them don’t date people who don’t make you feel special - there are so many ways to be made to feel that way and most of them are free Oh yeah I complete…

Some people just don't care about flowers but my main point was men are expected to build the relationship and often women only put in effort afterwards. Men's bar for romance is low because we don't get such treatment until the relationship is already established but women are accustomed to getting such treatment early. Women often want more out of men without giving the same back. The example of flowers is something men rarely get but women class it as low effort because it's something women a…

The attraction to tall men isn't bad (unless you have an issue with men not being attracted +size women) but expectation of male gender roles while expecting female gender roles to be abolished is. You should be free to confrom or not to your hearts content but expecting others to confrom while you do not is hypocritical. Most people are a mess of contradictions. You desire tall men and want them to work for your attention but in practice that is traditional a gender role for men while you simultaneously hate traditional roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:59 AM
2

That's the issue there isn't a good way to see who is safe outside of taking it super slow. The moments where you see a person's character can't be forced outside of using heavy manipulation.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:41 PM

Yeah that literally what narcissism is, they project confidence because they're deeply insecure. What I'm saying is if you're looking for confidence you don't filter out narcissists thus using confidence as a filter for safety is flawed.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:25 PM
9

Narcissists tend to be confident and will likely abuse their partners for not feeding that ego. They will often demand the same behaviour as insecure men but will radiate confidence. Confidence is not a good metric for telling who is safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 04:05 PM

If you wanted to do it but don't feel the same attraction then why are you with the other guy? Why wouldn't you feel inadequate or insecure when you get told I like x but don't feel the attraction with you? You've literally been told I liked this other guy more than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 08:10 AM

And this is the logical conclusion, you get guys who are willing to accept lesser treatment while the guys who stand their ground don't want you either.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 06:16 AM

As you should but men with standards want the same back so the middle ground is splitting the bill until the you're both sure you want to go all in.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 06:13 AM

And men with standards want the same treatment back. A relationship is give and take so if you don't give something back then what point is there for them to date you? It would literally be better for them to stay single.

Then don't have kids or don't take maternity leave. The corporations don't care about your personal life and if you make a personal decision that put you out of work that reflects badly on your career. Yeah that's the issue everyone has their own definitions and should work off the actual definitions off the wiki For me bare minimum would be someone who loves me and my personality while also being attractive enough. Both can be true at the same time. The bare minimum should be the bare minimum by definition and when you add things on top it stops being the bare minimum. When you go for the bare minimum your partner won't be perfect and will have flaws. Choosing better kinda implies not going for the bare minimum. Lastly men aren't a monolith and don't all agree just like women aren't a monolith. Different people have different standards so the guy complaining about the bare minimum probably isn't the same g…

When it comes to men's day to day behaviour towards women you can. I said women should talk to the younger men in their lives and explain women's fears around men. The goal would be said men don't go red pill, learn consent and about the everyday trials of being a woman. Essentially when they grow up they wouldn't be the guy women worry about, scale this up across a population and slowly the new generation of men would be better than the current generation. The language used on the internet is very hostile and often leads little room for nuance, that's the the nature of the gender war. And? You don't need a dick to use a CAD software, you don't need a dick to use a drill rig. The design portion doesn't need a dick it needs a brain and most of the manufacturing is automated and the mining uses heavy duty machinery. What part of the production process requires a man specifically? Men make up the majority yes but you can replace every single one of those men with women and nothing would change.

Modern men can build infrastructure with power tools and industrial equipment. The machine is doing most of the work and last time I checked you don't need a dick to use a forklift or a crane or an excavator or a paver etc. Very few jobs require you to manually lift something these days because work place injuries are expensive so getting people to lift anything heavy is a risk most companies don't want to deal with.

As things are now men take what they can get, if you accept them then you are the best that they can get. You become their one and only option, the one they picked and the one they settled for at the same time. It sounds like what you want is a guy with options to pick you and only you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:04 AM

Men and women rely of public infrastructure. Your whole job requires electricity and computers. Can you build a power plant? Can you farm? Can you build roads? Can you build a car? Mend a broken bone? Men and women rely on others for basic survival and guess what that's called civilisation.

Bruh I can tell you've never had to deal with a psycho woman before. A psycho woman will weaponise society against you. That bruise she got while you defended yourself becomes evidence of domestic abuse, all the damage she did around the house becomes damage you did in a violent rage. You are capable of fighting her off but only to extent that she isn't hurt and there is no evidence of a struggle because all that evidence will be used against you. Ps. And if you get hurt by her because you reali…

It's not about hating men It's about not living your life in service of men. It's the freedom to live your life apart from men. Hating men is going too far and misunderstands the meaning. Apathy is the goal of decentering, to live your life how you want and enjoy your personal freedom.

It's the bastardization of any ideology that happens whenever it becomes wide spread. Decentering the opposite sex means not giving a fuck about them, it doesn't matter if you want to please them or hurt them the fact they even occupy your thoughts and free time means you're still centering them. Said younger rad fem hasn't healed or understood the message, she's still angry and bitter so she literally can't decenter men in her current state.

It's another to bring up something that's not relevant only to win victim olympics (so far they lost) Again men and women do this consistently on this sub instead of engaging with a post. This is something men and women do on this sub consistently. People bring up the woes of their specific gender to play the oppression Olympics instead of engaging with the post. I already admitted that men decenter women during sex what more do you want? When men talk about dating woes they talk about how they can't even get to the dating stage. The men who need this advice aren't the same men women have trouble with. Women need to be more assertive during sex and prioritise themselves during it. At the same time women need to know what they want from their partner and express that. At the same time men need to listen and take their partner's wants on board.

"Berate is a verb that means to scold, lecture, or criticize someone in a harsh, angry, or prolonged manner" Say calling him out if you wish but the result is the same, call out an asshole but support your friend when they're not being an asshole.

Again there's a difference. Support someone who's struggling but berate an asshole. If someone is struggling you help them but if they're being an asshole about it then you're well within your rights to berate them. There's a difference and you've got to take each by a case by case basis otherwise you push someone who could have been saved deeper into the rabbit hole and you end up validating an asshole's feelings.

Men don't need a purpose but the need to be taught to live for themselves. Feminism taught women to love themselves and their freedom, it fought for women to be able to do the same things men could the issue for men is that men used those things as a crutch. It's not one man it's the patriarchy, it's every older man you meet it's your uncles your teachers, your older brothers, your boss it can also be the women in your life too. They shape your view of the world. Women can hold up the patriarchy just as well as men, in fact a woman saying men should be like this or I only date men who are like this can hit a lot harder than when men say the same. Will the older men start teaching from the moment of birth. They shape your whole world view and your idea of what being a man looks like so often the young men think this is how things should be. Factor in how the world is currently burning down and it would be easy to tell a young man who only knows how things are now this is the fault women/feminists. Also how often do you tell a 45 year old man something and they actually listen and admit they're wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 08:29 PM

The issue is those men are still around. They are our father and grandfathers, they teach us what being a man is all about but their world is gone. How many times has an older person told you to take a CV and hand it to someone irl instead of responding to a job posting? In their times that would have worked but now it's just annoying. The older men teach the younger men how their world worked so now the younger men try to get that world back.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 08:08 PM

Remember that culture moves at a snail's pace and women have spent the last 100+ years getting where they are now, men are effectively starting from scratch so it's gonna be a good while. The entire male identity for the past few millennia was built on being strong to provide for women (regardless of how often the individual man became that) so we've lost our purpose and have to find a new one.

I think this narrative has been peddled to people that if they were more self interested and less susceptible to outside influence, their lives would be better. I disagree with that. I think it’s normal to care what people think about you, and that decentering is typically used to convince people to reject the idea of considering other people’s perspective. It is normal to care what people but again it requires moderation. You should care that you smell bad or that you've got a stain on your shi…

A bit of both. The culture has shifted and now being a mother is seen as a bad deal. It kinda is because the current version of society we have was made by men for men and women need extra allowances if they're gonna have it all. For example the wage gap, it's not men getting paid more because they're men it's men getting paid more than mothers who took maternity leave. If a woman wants kids and not earn less despite being employed the same time as other men she has to work through it if she wan…

There's a line between venting and hate speech. Personally I think the path forward is to get men to date how women do. Look for the perfect partner and not budge for anything while being content to live a single life if you don't get it. It's a lot easier said then done though. I think most men fall into red pill in their teens. They're seeking advice on what women want because being nice isn't enough but only the red pill say anything different when young men go looking. The conspiracy theory …

Furthermore, men need to support other men more, and sometimes that means being the good friend who's gonna call a spade a spade and tell a friend when he's being a whiny bitch so he snaps out of it and does something about it instead of complaining endlessly. My one issue with is this your phrasing. You're effectively saying men should tell other men to man up and stop being little bitches. That's just gonna get men to continue pushing our feelings down rather than actually dealing with them.

Well it exists to counter harm against women and the red pill to alt right pipeline is a thing so doing something about that would really help women in the long run. Women have a problem with men's behaviour? Fix men's behaviour and the problem goes away. A super basic thing any woman can do is talk to the younger men in their life and explain women's fears to them so they understand before reaching the age when they become part of the problem.

There's certainly things we can do to make dating more fair but that generally comes down to gender expectations and work life balance. A lot of people still hold outdated views when it comes to their partners and what their roles should be throughout the relationship and that leads to a miss match of values and effort both perceived and real. Work life balance is a major factor later in the relationship especially once kids are on the way.

If someone does end up someone they're not attracted to because of the shame then that's wrong. They got shamed into compliance and that's wrong. It happens all the time in other cultures because social capital is so important over there.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 11:08 PM

It's not about the hard enforcement but the soft enforcement, the social pressures when a guy is open about what he wants and is shamed back into silence. Women are encouraged to know what they want and not accept any less but men are told they're intimidated or weak if they do the same. Shaming people for having standards is the problem. Well throughout history the solution has been to send the young men off to war where they either died or came back heroes (with ptsd). Men have been the disposable chess pieces of the ruling class and women have made more men so the machine doesn't break. Now we live in a time where women have broken away from their roles but men are still held to them. The major difference is men haven't had a movement teaching them how to break away for their roles and live life for themselves for the past cen…

The men who designed it aren't even aware Jim exist and if Jim died the world would keep moving. Yelling at Jim does nothing to stop the pedophile president but yelling at him might get him to personally hate you and the people you associate with. How do you get Jim to take action against the pedophile president? First stop blaming h…

As I've said before on this sub, women spoke out against men's beauty standards for them and now we're seeing men do the same. Edit: on top of that women are reacting as badly as men did when they spoke out.

People in general have a hard time accepting they can be wrong because we see things only from our perspective and perspectives similar to ours. Take religion for example, you've got billions of people believing they're right and they react badly whenever evidence is brought up against theirs. Going back to gender women have struggles that most men are never made aware of until they speak to a woman who explains it but that doesn't mean men have no problems either. Edit: spelling

"This whole "men don't need women" thing is monkey dancing." Yes and no. People have to find someone compatible with them so decentering the opposite sex is good. It means you focus on yourself and being happy without a partner that way you know if a person adds to your life or not. Men and women shouldn't monkey dance but should want to make their partner happy. In my book you cross the line when making your partner happy takes away from your happiness and currently so many men are willing to b…

This is the nuance required for such a topic. Women should have agency during sex so that part of the sexual revolution was good but the idolisation of sex that came with it wasn't. Now women feel pressured to lose their virginity just like men are but at young ages the wisdom required to navigate the world safely wasn't be acquired. Sex work shouldn't be shamed but it shouldn't be paised either, the reality of it should be explained with clinical detail. If that results in women engaging with i…

It's all about your frame of mind when viewing sex. Using sex to market your talent can be a useful tool but it runs the risk of your sex appeal becoming the only thing people care about. Studios know that sex sells so they'll tap that well until it's dry and women end up being objectified along the way. Reclaiming women’s sexuality was the goal of the sexual revolution but in practice it just allowed men easier access to women’s bodies but called it feminism. It's a razor thin line but once a w…

Religion says god loves you unconditionally which other than our mothers is really the only time anyone loves men. Often when men speak of love it's in a self sacrificing way, giving everything to your partner because that what we want. We want unconditional love because we have to earn it everywhere else. When guys talk about women having value because they're women this is what they mean. Women don't like their options but exist while men have to prove they're worthy of love.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 06:03 PM

Really it's only achievements of some kind. We have a very competitive world view so anything that makes you better than other men. It's super unhealthy I know, but really outside validation is the only thing we have. Men were never taught to love ourselves so the only most of us know how to gauge our self worth is through others.

I guess so but I think this is where men and women's world's differ. Men's friendships tend to be shallow which makes them easy to maintain but lacking in the connection department. At the same time the onus tends to be on men to make the first move so if a guy faces rejection repeatedly it will start to mess with his sense of worth meaning that if he switches up to this method he's coming from an angle of defeat with his dating life rather than frustration at low quality options. Fixing men's f…

I meant luck as in your paths crossed in the first place rather than seeking a person with each other's qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 05:09 PM

This is what I mean. There was no effort into getting a relationship it just happened. You both fell into each other's lap, it was all luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 11:19 AM

This I get. They didn't look for a partner or really date around but someone basically fell into their lap. The only issue I can foresee with this if men also acted like that is almost nobody would date since men wouldn't approach anywhere near the same degree and women are already reluctant to make the first move even if they like a guy. However those few relationships would likely be better than most relationships today.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/26 12:36 AM

I'm gonna nit pick your language for a bit When you say respects your peace, what does that look like to you? What does enriching your life look like to you? I ask because being fulfilled while single should mean you aren't looking for any of this because you have it already so why enter the trenches of dating if you are already satisfied?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 09:29 PM

You won't have any arguments about the last paragraph but I'm still curious. Would you say you are fulfilled without a partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:45 PM

This is the same conclusion I came to. The people who are happy single aren't the ones complaining about dating, they are mgtow and 4b people who just disappeared without fanfare while everyone else isn't fulfilled because they're missing something they value. From my pov women definitely are more fulfilled than men but still have skin in the game despite what they say.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 08:23 PM

I always curious about this because the only reason to pursue a relationship is the relationship itself. A person fulfilled in life has no need for it and honestly letting said partner into your life will bring it's own headaches so why not be single forever. Men are lonely, both for physical intimacy and emotional intimacy so they look for a partner to fulfill those needs but if you don't have those longings then why even get a partner? I guess what I'm trying to say is women who are happy bein…

Oh you poor sweet summer child. Culture has a huge impact on attraction it's just that you don't notice it because you think it's normal. I'll use India as an example. Being lighter skinned is seen as beautiful but does that mean that darker skin is universally unappealing? No it's a hold over from India's caste system combined with colonialism leading to darker skin being seen as ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 06:19 AM

Oh yeah it's flimsy and a double standard but the reverse is also a double standard. Men being virgins is seen as a fault with the man while women being virgins isn't. It's double standards all the way down until people stop caring about sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 11:49 AM

That's definitely a possibility, the logic doesn't account for every possible male vs female interaction but is kind of a baseline and the baseline is women have to put themselves at risk to sleep with men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 10:26 AM

I don't totally agree with him but I'll explain the logic. A guy who's got hobbies, is social and is confident while also being attractive to will meet many many women overtime and some of them will want to sleep with him and since men don't really have that much risk when it comes to casual sex he's got no reason to turn them down. A woman with a high body count is repeatedly putting herself at risk for a cheap thrill that or she thought all the men she slept with were the one so she's either n…

From the moment you become an adult people silently judge men based on how much sex they've had. No sex means there's something wrong with you but the same goes for too much. This goes back to how men's and women's sexuality are treated. For men, sex is used as a conquest or a prize/reward. I the divide in the discussion is mainly on how women talk about men. Often times men are treated like a monolith and that doesn't help solve the problem. We should be specific when targeting any large group so we don't end up treating them all like a monolith. Let's assume for the sake of the argument you didn't marry the first guy you dated. Did you find those other men attractive? Yeah but they can't define the spark so it just seems random. I've seen women on this sub say they've rejected a guy who was good on paper but didn't have the spark. So to me that reads as something beyond her own understanding because she can't define it in her own words and has to resort to vague terminology. She's not lying but just isn't aware of what she's actually looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 09:40 AM

I agree with you up to a point. Men's biggest complaint is being invisible not getting rejected. Most men complain that they can't even get to the dating stage while women complain that the men they date a terrible. The comparison has been made that women are looking for clean water in a swamp while men are looking for water in a desert. The obvious solution is women should look for different kinds of men if the ones they like are terrible and men should try and make themselves stand out more.

Split is the key word here, splitting it is the half measure. Women often still need or want their maternity leave so the man in the relationship often gives her the lion's share. Let's assume they both work at the same company and started at the same time for this example. They both take some maternity leave but she takes most of it. Having a career often requires sacrificing your home life. If you want to be the high earning person it often requires working longer hours thus spending less time with children or family or friends. Managing all 3 basically means you have no sleep, there's simply not enough hours in the day. Women want to spend time with their children and have a career while men know a career means sacrificing something. In this case it's not sexist but pure capitalism at play.

What you're missing is the oblivious solution that no employer would want. Give men maternity leave and suddenly men carry the same risk a women. It still expects women to become mothers to equalise the effort and thus forces women into pregnancy if men want a fair deal. As for care of the infant while there's things men simply can't do assuming he's putting in 100% of what he's biologically and physically capable of I feel like that should be something women should consider before having children. Children are a huge risk just through the pregnancy alone and that's not something your partner can change.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 11:50 PM

While I do agree with a lot of this the solution isn't to blame women but to hold women to the same standards they hold men. Men shouldn't accept being treated like an ATM or a jester to earn a woman's affection and if that means being single then so be it. I feel like the main divide come in when a woman acts one way but suddenly shifts behaviour without giving you a reason. Like I'm fine if a woman used to go have casual sex but had bad experiences and wants to try something new but from previous threads on this sub women seem to think asking for any reason is unreasonable. If someone said they were vegan then stopped you'd question the behaviour. It might not be a deal breaker but something that important to people usually isn't done on a whim.

Ok I guess you couldn't call it a deep dive but I did listen to feminism is for everybody and the handmaid's tale along with several YouTubers. For a few weeks feminism became my hyper fixation but this started after my deep dive on the black panthers and the rainbow coalition. Long story short, as I see it there's hardcore feminists who I respect and then there's the average woman who pays lip service to feminism but doesn't understand it beyond men can't tell me what to do.

As I keep saying, most of this gender war would be solved the moment people realised that it's a small but loud and active group driving hostility and that group simply doesn't care about what people think Edit: I do think where most people go wrong is the language they use. They generalise men and women when making statements and then the nuance of any situation gets lost.

From my deep dive I got the vibe that girl boss feminism (which is patriarchy with a thin coat of feminism) is the main voice right now and something like radical feminism that isn't man hating or TERF adjacent seem to get buried or shouted down.

The one thing I know is a girl will make it easy if she likes you. If she likes you then she'll spend time with you without all the courting and want to court you. If a man likes a woman he'll want to court her because he wants to but will also be fine just spending time with her without getting something out of it. Either way if someone likes you they don't expect anything from you and just want you to be yourself. Expecting princess treatment comes off as entitled and says that you just want m…

That's the thing women want men to go all in on the first date and if men get burned just like women they will learn the same lesson and hold back until later. The compromise is to go for low effort dates so you have some time to connect before going all in. Men want to know the woman likes them and not the stuff they do for them and women want to know men like them and aren't just after sex.

Wanting to be treated well and princess treatment are different. What does princess treatment mean to you? You can want princess treatment, but it’s a bit weird to most women. This is my issue, expecting something that you're not willing to do for your partner sounds like entitlement.

Doing activities you both like will be ideal but on a first date the default stance a lot of women (on this sub) seem to have is the man should pay and expect nothing in return. I understand women might not be comfortable going all the way on the first date want just want to test the water and I'm doing the same. The question a low effort date asks is "are you fine with me as I am?" If the answer is yes then cool I'll put in more effort next time and if the answer is no then we go our separate w…

Yeah, continuing to fight for women's rights "should" eventually dismantle the patriarchy and free men from their issues but as lyedetector would have it just becomes a matriarchy instead of a patriarchy. I see trans rights as the next step in equality since if men and women are truly equal then it shouldn't matter if someone transitions but focusing on "women" leads into TERF territory which will take feminist language and use it to harm others. Dismantling the patriarchy isn't something that c…

People don't owe someone a justification for their rejection. It's not about explaining it to them it's about explaining it to yourself and understanding why you feel the way you do. This is where the introspection comes in. Did he reject her because he's racist or is he not into people of said race. Because we are human and literally crave socialisation and acceptance to varying degrees based on the individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 05:08 PM

And honestly, the woman is better off in that weirdly racist scenario. It was a strawman but you could just say she's got no idea he's a racist. It was more about should said man stop being prejudiced and learn to accept people from other races as people. No. Again, it's not a problem to reject someone. Alright. That's the end of that conversation.

While true just like OP I tend to find that women's problematic tendencies get put on full blast when they don't get to hide behind the victim shield and then it becomes "I don't have to justify anything" rather than "maybe I should be introspective and see if I'm part of the problem". This is a test to see if you can look within yourself and see if you are problematic in anyway and if the answer is always fuck you I do what I want then you're probably part of the problem and just don't realise …

Women have the leverage because there's men willing to debase themselves for the smallest amount of attention. Weak willed men cheapen the value of male attention just like one night stands cheapened the value of sex. Before the sexual revolution marriage was the standard price for sex if you didn't want a prostitute now most men expect sex long before marriage. Ps there's obviously more to it than just that but in the context of OPs post this is kinda how it works.

I have no arguments with this. You're literally the first woman to actually give some reasoning other than he should be OK with whatever she's ok with. Previous bad experiences can Jade a person and if they want to take it slow afterwards then I've no issues but if I'm expected to just not question the change in behaviour without a reason then that seems unreasonable.

Will it's not as bad I'd still argue it is bad. If the goal is to get men to change then consistently reinforcing the idea that men are dangerous will lead to men becoming disillusioned with society and lead to women holding prejudices against men. My original point to u/constantsample5846 was that women often use the same rhetoric as the racists use against me but shift the target from black people to men. I understand systemic oppression and that women don't have the power to oppress men as a whole but throwing shit at each other does nothing but distract us while a pedophile is the most powerful man on the planet. This is just splitting hairs about definitions when the end goal is get rid of all prejudices.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 08:19 PM

So black people can absolutely be prejudiced against white people and to people who maybe don’t know that racism requires systemic oppression it looks the same - and that’s because the actions and feelings are the same, the only difference is the lack of systemic oppression which makes it prejudiced and not racism And that makes it ok? Because the system doesn't back me when hold prejudices against white people that makes it perfectly ok to hold them?

I guess but I think it's also realistic to consider that there's a real political will to radicalize young men to the righ. Going back to men approaching men should do the same. Stop approaching, be single and if women don't want to be single they'll have to approach. It's good to talk about the division of labour in a household it keeps everything equal and that's a good thing. Changing a culture isn't done overnight and it took until the 70s for women to be able to own a house without a man being involved. Everyone has to take a stand it will start slow, sucking it up is the wrong way to go about it you have to take a stand and set y…

There's a difference between taking precautions and telling people to suck it up that's gender roles and act accordingly.

This does with your comment about "gender expectations" and "unfair" and "but feminism", when i talked about reality. I showed you that i might be against lots of things that i do and experience (and that's my position) that doesn't change reality one bit and i have to suck it up. And it's stupid to think there will be different outcome. The you're simply not a feminist then, you should raging against gender roles because they're unfair not coldly accepting them because that's just the way the w…

Again none of this is to do with approaching. Approaching isn't like walking down alley. It's way safer but you want to equate it to death and say the world isn't fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:57 PM

When men want to die they do it once and they do it right so the attempts will be lower overall. Women try soft methods and thus live to try again. It's survivor's bias the people who live to try again bloat the numbers while the people who don't live do it once.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:55 PM

You can still go out but you take precautions like you said. When you can you take a taxi or go out in a group or carry a weapon if your local area allows that. If you want to walk alone at night firstly it's stupid and everyone knows that but some women want to act like they should be able to walk down a dark alley and be perfectly safe meanwhile the alley isn't deserted and even the men avoid it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:48 PM

when my male friends can without second thought We watch our backs when we walk alone, we don't go down dark allies and when we meet a stranger we get ready to fight. There's plenty of thought it's just that we have a chance to fight off another man. We have the exact same worries as you it's just that men aren't as easy to take down as women. Overall none of this has any bearing on approaching and you went off on a tangent.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:32 PM

And what does that say? It says I want to die and I want to make sure I die. When I was suicidal but didn't really want to die I tried overdosing if I wanted to make sure I died I'd jump off a bridge, no take backs no saving me.

Not a very feminist world view though. Conform to gender roles because it's expected.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:14 PM

I can advocate that men should approach by default Not every choice is a feminist choice though. We men should really just stop approaching and a lot have it's just that there's more who are interested in approaching and women aren't interested in taking on that burden. If you don't approach as a man you end up single. It's either you miss out on a core human experience or conform.

That those men have problems and can't deal with the idea that women have pasts? If a woman is offended that a man has a past that shows she has a problem with men having a past. Both force people to live within traditional norms and both are terrible.

Just post "women, in the US, on average, are 5'4" " you will get post after post of "but I'm X height therefore you are wrong". I feel like this comes from women's stated preference more than anything else. We've all seen the endless street interviews where women say they only want guys who are 6ft and above meanwhile regular interaction tends to mean that women don't get to actually measure a guy's height and can only vibe it out meanwhile on dating apps you can actually set a filter for it. I think your model is missing a major variable: risk assessment. Yeah but you can't tell who is a rapist off looks alone. Most rapists are someone the woman knows so the risk assessment is already flawed. Some women claim to have creep detectors but clearly isn't true and I'd argue it's more conformation bias since if you think something is wrong with someone you'll look endlessly until you find something wrong while the majority or rapists fly under women's creep detectors.

The culture around random men helping women is so weird right now. Literally a couple hours after this post a woman made a post about men trying to help her and how she found it creepy. Granted there's nuance that often gets lost when this is discussed and that's why the culture feels so weird. Women want men to help but in the "correct" way but women are individuals and don't all agree so men often just default to do nothing.

The thing is it does change what your perceive as normal or average. As a man I've noticed when women say they like a dad bod they mean an off season body builder, when men imagine a dad bod we imagine Homer Simpson not Jason Momoa (when he's not filming). One is what a man looks like when he's relaxing and not working out and the other takes years in the gym and strict dieting (and probably steroids too) but has let himself go in between workout seasons. Your main point was originally about effort. And how women usually only show they like a guy during courting by sleeping with him and not by planning/paying dates, giving gifts etc. Women usually expect men to do all that stuff then wonder why men ask for something in return. It doesn't have to be sex but that's often what women default to and if that doesn't happen then there has to something in return because love only becomes a motivator later in a relationship. In reality, the thing you care…

So as I suspected, this isn’t about effort, it’s about how fast she puts out. Because as usual, men do not allow women to change their minds. What kind of information are you learning that would enable you to believe that she put in more effort for the last guy Usually it's a mix of how she talks about them versus what treatment I get off her. Like if she's clearly not over him I don't want to deal with that. One specific example is a girl who usually liked to have sex early into a relationship, she was open about her past and I give it a shot but then wanted to take it slow, she didn't really put in effort in other ways and after I r…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 08:19 PM

Men do but they're small and get drowned out by all the people mocking said men. Overall society doesn't really care about men's mental health or physical issues and that goes for both other men and women. Women's issues always take priority even of sub reddits like this.

But it's not, at least from all the relationship I've had and my friends have. They do stuff as couples, they make time for each other. With my mum and my gf I make time because I want to, it's not a chore to go see them. There's no "effort" because I want to spend time with them. If they want to spend an hour or day with me…

disagree. Men absolutely care when his gf/wife or mommy treats him with his same level of inconsideration. Men and women require different things from the people they interact with. Women want to be constant in the person's life and to be there for every big moment while men simply don't require it. Alright cool men get commit the crimes and more men should get arrested for it we agree on that point. The second point I made and you ignored was women are allowed to get away with it too. They aren't arrested for rape because law doesn't allow for them to get arrested for it. I'd argue this will drastically fuck with the statistics on who is "actually" a victim since women sexually assaulting or raping men isn't a crime.

97% of rapists will never spend a single day Alright I'm gonna ask for a source on that number rich powerful This gets into another issue, it strays away from average men and women into class issues. Rape is illegal, murder is illegal and men who shame women in public get shamed back. Women can shame, assault and harass men in public and nobody bats an eye. Hell it's impossible for women to even get arrested for rape in several countries because the definition only allows for men to be arrested for it.

Shamed back. People dog pile on them and they have to retreat to echo chambers because it's not socially acceptable. Historically yes it was acceptable but this is the modern day. We're supposed to be the enlightened people who look back realise how bad things were. We've just swapped who we can shame for being failures. Female domestic abuse victims get government support, male victims aren't taken seriously. As much as red pill guys will say she should have chosen better they aren’t the ones deciding where the funding goes or who is eligible. Ps. They are losers on the internet too scared to show their faces

It's not just men that do it, women also shame men for not meet their standards but ultimately it's not all men and not all women. The main difference is that it's socially acceptable to shame men.

then are you saying the best solution is for women who can’t prove it to just shut up about it and suffer in silence? No but realistically what would be better? With the technology we have now what could we actually do? Without putting cameras in everyone's homes what is actually achievable? Lie detectors aren't even 100% accurate and have previously lead police astray because they got a false positive. We should make it better but right now I don't see a way without creating more problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/26 06:58 PM

The issue is that you can't. It's a lose, lose scenario, without other evidence because it's literally their word against yours which is where cross examination attempts to see if a person is trustworthy. It's not perfect but it's the best we have right now. If we don't demand solid proof then anyone can make any lie and get someone innocent in jail, at least with multiple victims they can come together and speak with one voice.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/26 06:41 PM

I think women just straight up should withhold sex for at least a couple months if they want to make sure a guy isn't trying to use them for sex. If the worry is if a guy will leave after they get sex the just put a hard line and make it clear. Ask ask to meet his friends and learn as much info before it, ask him about feminism early and see if what he says matches his actions. If a guy gets pushy then drop him immediately because he's outed himself. Regardless of any physical attraction or emot…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 05:43 AM

I think a reason women tend to get rejected later on in a relationship is that even if the guy is being genuine with his intentions he had to spend the early part of the relationship performing and couldn't really assess if the woman was a good fit for him. He had to make her feel safe and so on so he couldn't think about if she's the one for him. Ps. When her guard is up then she's not being herself so only when it comes down can he see what she's like.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 09:33 AM

Compatability is the goal but from the male perspective there's a sense we have to perform just to even be an option while women can sit back and judge if we're good enough. There isn't a balance when dating it leaves a lot of men exhausted while the message we keep hearing is "the bar is in hell" which tells us we have to do more.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 08:15 AM
5

Considering the bar is in hell it seems like there's not many men who can date without having to perform.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 11:10 PM
1

And here you see men hating that they have to put on a mask and perform to be loved...
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 07:13 PM
5

And the issue is seems to be that women aren't happy when men just be themselves since women keep saying the bar is in hell. So we're left in a situation where women aren't happy with the amount of effort men normally put in and now men aren't happy having to perform.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 07:04 PM
3

Well then I comend you for putting up with those guys. Eventually it'll get through or they'll die alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:50 AM
4

Say it to men, the people that actually need to hear that stuff. Men only hear the bar is in hell. All you're doing is building an echo chamber.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 01:40 AM
5

Then maybe women to just say that instead calling for more effort? Also quick question what is normal man to you? Gender roles play a massive factor in all this and since women don't need men anymore men have been struggling to find out where they fit.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 12:31 AM
5

But then women say the bar is in hell which to me comes off as men don't do enough. The current thread reads like a guy who saw women complain about men not doing enough so put in more effort only to find it dehumanising and now women get offended that he's expressed his feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 12:13 AM
6

It's pretty obvious that neither men nor women actually like each other at this point. Guys feel like they have to compete against literally every other option a woman has or they get ghosted and women feel like the bar is in hell.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/26 12:08 AM
1

I'm agreeing with you here women's stories are 100% true but at the same time all 4 billion of those women aren't perfect angels too. With the main topic of this thread some women are are gonna demand a lot for basically nothing in return and a saying some of the 4 billion women didn't cross paths with men is gonna be willful ignorance.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 09:54 PM
1

I don't doubt women's stories are 100% true at the same time there's literally 4 billion men on the planet, everyone of them literally can't be an asshole looking for a chance to hurt women or the whole world would treat women the same ways the Arabic countries do.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 09:35 PM
1

And this is the crux of the gender war, feelings and personal experiences. Men feel like they have put on a show for disinterested women and women get hurt by asshole men. Both groups have had real experiences but we only see our own perspective and assume it's the only one.

That still means there's more to it than just literally shower and ask questions. From personal experience and the testimony of several friends some of which are lesbians and endless internet stories, women are picky. At the same time there's a large section of men who don't even shower ask basic questions about the girl they're dating. …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 09:02 PM

I do consistently hear women saying "the bar is in hell" to me this says men don't put in enough effort and now we have men expressing that it feels like he's performing because women aren't happy with him just being himself. From the company's view hiring a woman who plans on taking maternity leave is literally worse than just hiring a man. It's cold uncaring capitalism at play and it just so happens to be misogynistic. That's probably true but when I opened my account I got spammed with the stuff and had to avoid anything remotely related to it. I had to make an effort to not see thirst traps and OF creators on my feed.

I guess we just have different interests then or they aren't really paying attention 🤷 On YouTube I don't get anything like that at all, Facebook neither but Instagram one comes up occasionally and I just move right past it. For me it's not common but I know some guys who get it all the time.

Again algorithms target based on interests and have probably guessed you're a woman. That or some data broker sold your info so the site knows you're a woman and doesn't show that content.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 08:44 PM

Oh yeah, the main thing is to completely avoid it like the plague but that doesn't mean it's not there, you've still had to put in work to avoid seeing it. On Instagram I see one occasionally despite avoid all thurst traps like it'll kill me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 08:36 PM

Well the algorithm will likely figure out if someone is a man and start showing them based off interests alone. Algorithms a specifically designed to fuck with people so based off the posts you interact with they'll have probably guessed your a woman and filter out said creators.

it’s so easy why don’t men do that now because women choose wealthy men even today. Some women choose wealthy men, name a male millionaire and he's either got a girlfriend, wife or a long line of Ex If a man has to be wealthy or has to provide to get a woman then he has to WORK to get her. Completely agree. When I said wealthy I meant it as relative to what she thinks her value is when it comes to modern dating. A girl will make is easy to spend time with you when she's into you but getting a gi…

When men controlled women they didn’t make it easy for other men to get access to them 😂 if anything it was even harder Yes and no, men had to achieve only one thing and that was wealth, a father would sell his daughter for something and the daughter had no say. Once the sale was complete said guy didn't have to kind, caring or even attractive to her but now men have to still have enough wealth to satisfy the woman but also be attractive enough for her and have a personality she likes.

If women didn’t make it hard for men to get them pregnant humans probably would have died out by now Not really, men controlled women for hundreds of years but that's not really the point I want to discuss. Women think men are dangerous and I fully understand why. There are millions of dangerous men out there and it only takes one to turn a woman into a statistic but the male population is around 4 billion. For every 1 dangerous man there's 10 who have zero desire to hurt women but women treat a…

High body counts in men are seen as a proof of desirablity, men generally have to make the first move and court women and a man failing to find a partner is usually framed as him not being good enough. So if a guy had a high body count seen as him being not just good enough but exceptional. Meanwhile women are generally passive in the courting process, women get approached and assess if the man approaching her is good enough for her. The effort for women is generally shown later in the relations…

It think you're missing something. When you struggle to date it's because nobody wants you, sex is a part of it but it's the loneliness men are struggling with. I will admit a lot of us shoot ourselves in the foot by making it about sex but society right now is very sex orientated. A guy sees women complain about getting too much attention and wanting to be left alone while he hasn't gotten a compliment in years. It's two separate worlds thinking the other has it better.

I'd say it more depends on the woman. Most would view it as a sign there's something wrong with the guy if he managed to get into his mid to late 20s without losing it. A guy who make it his whole personality will obviously scare of all women who come his way but even then it's still viewed as a mark against you even if it just means the sex is most likely gonna be bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 08:59 PM

That's the thing we're dealing with what is socially acceptable and socially expected. It's all gender roles and stepping out of said roles or failing to meet them is put on you as a moral failure.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 08:48 PM

I'd guess it's do to being an example of what a good/bad man is. For daughters it shows the type of guy they should look for/avoid so they don't end up in terrible marriages. For sons it's an example of what they should/shouldn't be when they leave the nest and how they should/shouldn't treat women. Ultimately both parents are still people and should be equally valued in their relationship and should put the child above themselves.

I feel like there's aren't many male activists that get much attention like Greta Thunberg or Anita Sarkeesian. Both aren't A listers but you they're recognisable within their spheres. There just aren't many men who get that much publicity for activism and thus men have so few examples of good men who aren't wealthy.

It's not the fault of the victim at any point but there are thing people can do to make it harder to end up a victim. We lock our doors because we know there thieves are out there and not taking drinks from strangers or going to a second location are things within our power we can do to make it harder to end up in said situation. Nobody deserves it or asks for it but we take precautions against it anyway because the malicious people don't care about people's well being.

Again men and women live in different worlds. If a guy got 100 dates at 22 most men would think he's the giga chad eveyone talks about. As society see it men should earn more and when we don't conform both ourselves and others will punish us for it. Financial stability is just difficult in today's economy. The elites started screwing over the world back in the 80s and now all that mess needs cleaning but none of them want to start. But isn't feminism about equality? Women focusing on themselves can only get so far. While I do agree men should have their own movement as things are now any movement focusing on men will be hijacked by the right and used to push men into oppressing women. Personally I don't understand strip clubs so the mind of a guy who frequents them is just as alien to me. Overall I lean toward yes it's simping. It's the same as the streamer, she's working and wants your money for as little effort as possible. If you enjoyed the show then maybe you could call it a tip but again I don't understand the appeal of strip clubs. Assuming there was consent by both parties, you agreed to the risk of pregnancy. If you didn't want a child there's steps men can take to prevent a pregnancy regardless of if the woman wants kids or not. Yes women having the ultimate choice on if the pregnancy is carried to term or not isn't exactly fair to men but they also have to carry and give birth to the child which has it's own set of risks. There's a difference between chaining multiple short disastrous relationships and having longer relationships that just didn't work out. I used love and lust as to mean two different men. Her husband will love her while most will just lust after her. Also I was primarily speaking about the west, I guess I should have clarified. In the middle east yeah women's options are slim as fuck and in East Asia it's generally more ridged than the west but not as ridged as in the middle east. Africa has tons of various beauty standards that just look completely alien to the west and South America is generally sits somewhere between the west …

It's variable but generally I think it goes like this: Women are more loving than men but only with specific men but men are more loving in general. The bar to attain love is lower with men and men have to wine and dine to get love from women. The bar for lust with men is non-existent and the bar for lust with women is very high. Women are generally allowed to be whatever they want and still find men who will love and lust for them while men have to fit a mold to be loved and be extremely attrac…

Yeah you said it. Male attention is so abundant that it doesn't matter if women are attuned with reality or not, she'll find a man willing to debase himself just to please her. Men should start dating like women and only then can a real negotiation begin.

Yeah but all of that only matters when kids become a factor. Until a couple decides to have kids it's simply a what if and not a fact. Women want 60/40 when kids aren't even on the table yet.

Personalities. I'd figure out what their deal is before anything gets serious or sleeping with them. I'd meet in public, get a feel for them and by no means would I sleep with them on the first date. The thing is all of this is it's conformation bias. You think there's something wrong so you look for something wrong. When you find it you go I always knew there was something off about him. If you don't get a vibe then you don't look for anything and get blindsided. When a someone who's attractive walks in the halo effect takes hold and you stop looking and stuff that might have caught your attention goes by. Men and women get caught up in the halo effect so claiming any gender has a radar for…

As a man I've already had to walk up and start a conversation and probably planned the date. We've both decided to spend our time so the fair thing would be to at least split the bill. If the relationship goes on I'll show interest by paying attention to your interests and probably planning more dates. Is it too much to ask that women do the same? Married women work and still do the majority of the homemaking and raising the kids Look obviously there's different women with different expectations but if she wants to spend time with the kids doing house work, I'll pick up the slack elsewhere. If she's expecting me to buy her gift after gift then I need some kind of return, it doesn't have to be sex but it has to be there.

Only today will you hear mfs complain they have to approach women. It's not that we have to approach but the inequality of our "equal" society. Women don't need men but still want us to wine and dine them without doing the same for us, I want a girl that will put in the same effort. If women want equality then it has to be equal. If she wants 50/50 that's cool but don't expect me to pay for everything and not wonder what am I getting out of this relationship.

I think there's a couple of factors to this. Men are more sexual than women so we're jealous of their access to sex Women don't like being with inexperienced men and don't like teaching men Women with more experience realise what they want and get frustrated when they can't get it which leads back into them not spending their time teaching men. If a guy has no or little access he can't gain experience so most women disqualify him regardless of other traits. Overall everyone needs experience but …

You won't get a rep for asking a few girls out per year The exact number differs depending on the size of the social circle but "a few" suggests more than 2 but still single digits. So you basically agreed with me. Ask a bunch of girls from your social circle out and you get a rep. Remember men generally have way lower standards than women so the guy might actually want to give the relationship a shot and if he acted on each feeling he'll get a reputation.

You become that guy going around the single women of the group asking for dates... Neither are great but cold approaching and the apps don't have the risk of giving you a rep among the women you actually know. For me asking 1 or 2 girls from your social circle is fair but after that the rest of the group is off limits unless one of the girls really tries to get your attention.

In a collectivist society it would be that way. The problems of others would be my responsibility to fix. Homelessness, crime, drug abuse, women's issues and men's. We're individualistic so men don't want to fix women's and issues and women don't want to fix men's. The mindset is I've got mine so I'm gonna take the life boat and leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 12:40 AM

There will never a consensus by men on either of these. Men and women aren't monoliths and no matter much women or men ask for change we can only control ourselves and to a lesser extent the people in our lives. Men shouldn't harm women but women shouldn't blame every guy they see as the cause of their woes. Such group think only works if society goes into a collectivist mindset where the individual serves the whole and thus the whole is responsible for the individual. Right now we're individual…

It's all about masculinity and how it shows The way the red pill would tell it is that it goes back to cave man days. The local ruler has guards so his wife is protected meanwhile the local badass can just kill whoever threatens his wife. Both results in the wife and children surviving meanwhile the nice guy get murdered when the next tribe wanders in and takes his wife so he doesn't reproduce. Obviously in real life there's more to it than just reproduction and genetics.

To rephrase it in a better way (at last to me) is to say women don't value causal sex cause it's easily available so motional connection with a partner becomes new bar that women aim for. Men can't get casual sex easily so emotional connection isn't even on the radar. I said this on a different thread but obviously what every girl considers handsome is different and attractiveness goes beyond looks alone. Attractiveness is everything from the guys walk all the way to his smile and dress and what one girl considers a 5 that guys wife might consider a 10. A while ago there was a trend of women saying Ryan gosling was a 7 the guy isn't a 7 but conventional standards but these women thought he's a 7. This is what I mean by attractiveness varying.

Obviously what every woman considers handsome is different I just shorten it so I'm not writing an essay everytime. What you consider average that woman might think is a 10. The guy who will do that and attractive enough to have options is already married. Every woman is after that guy so they go off the market quickly. The left over guys are the ones that don't want to settle down and the ones not attractive enough to have a ton of options but have varied personalities, some being more blue pill and some being red.

By the guy with enough options that they don't need to wine and dine. The guy with options doesn't need to impress you to get sex so you have to impress him to get commitment. The average guy does but the average guy is boring just like the average woman with a major difference being the average guy has to take initiative. Women like to be passive when dating and that works with average guys, not the 10/10 guy cause he's got options so women have to wine and dine him.

A guy who wants something more equal will show it in his personality and actions later in the relationship when you move in together but again the relationship doesn't get that far if the attraction bar isn't passed. Also a lot of women tend to ignore problematic behaviour if the guy is attractive enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 01:39 AM

Combine that with not sleeping with them until they show commitment. If they only want to sleep with you then they'll give up after you delay for weeks on end or make it clear you won't until your certain. If they like you for your personality then they'll at least hang around because they like you. Just make sure to show you're also commitmented in some way like buying gifts or paying for dates so the guy doesn't think you're using him for his money.

For the vast majority of human history women need men but now they don't but the entire male identity has been built on being provider and protector for women regardless of how often men actually become that on the individual level. Now women can choose the men they want which tends to the upper percentile of her chosen niche but every man …

But if I do not want to kiss you on first date, I will tell you exactly that and if the guy is offended that’s on him. Well if the guy gets offended by that then he's an asshole. I don't consider that to be dominating, that's just having boundaries and something everyone should have. When dating I'd consider dominating to be dictating how your partner dresses even if you're not going out with them that day.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 05:13 PM
2

I think it's more of a dominance thing. Women who know what they want and are vocal about can sometimes end up rubbing up against the male ego. Obviously eveyone is different but the one girl I knew who was like that tended to quite loud and dominating to point where if things weren't don't done her way she'd make it everyone's problem. For this girl specifically it's like she didn't know how to relax. Me personally I'm pretty laid back usually but and don't mind someone else taking charge. At w…

I think the issue is there's far less of the women who are willing to teach than the men who need teaching. Most men need some kind of advice but women generally don't want to unless it's something that makes an already good relationship great. I don't understand what you mean by your second paragraph.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 04:40 PM
13

You can't learn if you don't practice and that's the core issue. Women don't want to be a practice round for a guy but guys need practice to get good. Guys that instinctively know how initiate and arouse get lots of attention but then don't want to settle down but the ones that did are already married. It's a catch 22 and nobody wants to budge.

I wouldn't say it knows everything about women but it shows men a side most of society would rather keep a secret. Not an intentional secret but an unconscious socially agreed secret. That being said I think it's important men move out of the anger stage and get to acceptance as quickly as possible
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 02:37 PM

Maybe, I don't really have an answer I'm just spit balling ideas but to me the current culture feels like one where everyone is chasing a shadow on the wall and all have a different idea on how to catch it. There's some clear things like consistency and kindness but all of that gets muddled when attraction breaks through the wall.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 07:56 PM
3

Ah but then there's also that spark a lot of people are chasing too, you can go on a successful date, share interests and overall have a good time but not feel the spark. You don't get time to show consistency if you chase the spark but the spark requires a certain level of showmanship to generate. Ultimately I think there's a number of competing factors that actually work against each other when people date but most people keep looking for the one person that has them all.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 07:31 PM

My question is what's the difference between love bombing and genuine attention? I think this whole nonchalant vibe and mind games a lot of people struggle with comes from trying to avoid love bombing or appearing desperate but the pendulum swung too far and now nobody can tell what's genuine anymore cause we're all walking on eggshells.

Something I said a while ago was "just because a woman hits you and it doesn't hurt doesn't make it alright, if the genders are ever to be equal then eveyone has to stop this kind of stuff". A lot of women are allowed to get away with hitting men because it's normalised but gender equality requires the same consequences for the same actions regardless of gender and more men need to realise it's not ok to let women to hit you.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/25 01:34 AM

It's a catch 22. Although I will say a lot guys approach badly and a lot of women give give terrible hints. Guys having to approach means that if anyone wants a relationship it's on the guy to put himself out there and impress the woman enough to be given a chance. There are also enough guys with low enough standards for almost every woman to get into a relationship despite how flawed of an individual she might be. Women are generally more ok with being single than men, both because they tend of…

Women are free individuals and can approach if they want to but most don't want to and still expect men to do traditionally male thing of approaching first. Yes that's their preference but not every choice is a feminist choice.

These conversations happened several months apart so it's not like they intentionally said they all think I'm undateable but In terms of where I would rank myself it was pretty close. It didn't hurt my feelings being ranked low in the masculinity chart cause I already knew that. It wasn't for a while that everything clicked for me and I realised why a lot of women don't want to date me and at that point I'd be bring stuff up from months ago so I just left it alone.

Specifically with my female friends yes and no We once talked about people we're attracted to a lot of them wanted taller, good looking confident men, so the typical masculine traits. Another time I remember we talked about how masculine eveyone we know were and I ranked pretty low on their chart, not the bottom but lower end and conveniently the guys on the upper end tended to have girlfriends or constantly be in and out of relationships. Like I said "most older women" no group is a monolith and eveyone has different experiences. The mothers that didn't get to have fun told their daughters to have fun, their daughters go through the ringer and tell their daughters not sleep every guy that looks their way. Obviously the middle option is the best. Be cautious it's better to be safe than sorry but don't go full church girl and wait until marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 08:52 PM

Most older women will tell younger women to stick to rule, don't fuck a guy just because he's hot and you've felt the "spark". Most women who do so tend to be younger and stupider, while older experienced women say the same shit I'm saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 10:24 AM

Probably but it goes back to the chicken and egg situation. You need experience to get good at something but if nobody gives you chance you can't get good. I really don't see a good way out that makes everyone happy. Women aren't attracted to these men and you can't force attraction. Said men need experience to get at both sex and relationships but they can't get said experience. You just get it or you don't and if you don't you're fucked. Edit spelling

You definitely can do that but most women don't like casual sex, not to say that can't enjoy sex but just don't like going into a relationship expecting more only to used for their body. Edit: it's not full proof but the guys willing to play the long game are a lot rarer and it allows time for the guy to show his red flags before anything happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 09:10 AM

It's the fastest way to find out if a guy is feigning interest just to get sex, if you don't want to do that then trial and error is really the option you're left with. I'm honest enough to say there's plenty of guys who will do and say whatever just to get into a girl's pants and if women want to avoid those guys then denying those guys what they're after is the easiest and fastest way to find out if that's all they want. Otherwise you just end being rejected after the guy got what he wanted.

It definitely can give off the vibe that she's not really into him especially if the woman does hook up a lot but suddenly wants to take it slow. I think if a woman who did hook up a lot wants to take it slow it's fine but she'll have to put in some work to assuage those feelings in most guys. Only difference with men is they’ll wait till after sex to reject a woman they don’t really like. My advice for women is to always withhold sex for a while to see if the guy is genuinely interested in you or just the sex. A guy just in it to smash and pass will lose interest after a couple dates so holding off as long as possible is in your best interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 11:10 PM

Long story short, withhold sex and see if the guy loses interest. If he likes you for you then he probably wants to hangout without sleeping with you but if withhold for weeks and weeks then he disappears then he just wanted sex. Ultimately this only works if you don't hook up often cause then the will guy feel like you don't like him given your history even if you genuinely like him and you'll have to show the attraction in other ways like giving gifts or paying for dates. For men sex is seen a…

Personally I'd say looks are a bar that must be passed to even get a chance, if you don't have them but have a great personality then you're the great friend who will make someone happy one day. If he's got to be the cool guy or the "alpha" isn't that what the red pill keep talking about? I'm yeah that's obvious but to play devil's advocate, very very few people are irreplaceable especially when it comes to the early stages of a relationship. The moments and experiences that form lasting relationships take time and if someone is looking for that "spark" they can just get rid of you before any of those moments of connection even get a chance to form.

Most societies are built on the backs over some disposable lower class. This isn't because said class is needed for society to function but the ultra wealthy need someone to steal wealth from so they can be ultra wealthy. That's kinda obvious to me anyway. I got all my female friends by just sharing a hobby and thought the same would work for getting a girlfriend but making sure the relationship doesn’t settle into friendship before I made my intentions clear. This is anecdotal I know but I think it's the main flaw with blue pill. Just being a normal person usually doesn't work for me, friends I get easily, girlfriends take so much effort.

So to tie this back to the origin of this thread. You can't decenter the opposite sex if you want a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 11:45 AM

I mean yeah? But then everyone is single unless you're gay. I understand a relationship is antithetical to the goal is decentering the opposite sex but that seems kinda short sighted. Like what's the end game?

What do mean? If men decenter women and go about their days not caring about what women think is the goal then that's what I've been doing most of my life. I have everything I could want materially and have plenty of friends which I can have deep conversations with but in the current society women rarely approach. If I want a relationship then 99% of the time I have to make the first move which means I can't decenter women and have impress them.

I think this is the main flaw with decentering the opposite sex. When it comes to women, men will still approach so you can go on with your day and it will just happen. If men also decenter women then nobody approachs and it's all up to the apps. With feminism the idea is men and women act the same and are treated the same, meaning women sometimes act like men and approach people they're attracted to. She committed a crime (says the armchair lawyer) I would have put in a complaint, if he does it again the police should take further action. If they don't then look at my edit. Because we don't have a video and just have her word I'm honestly neutral, as far as I can tell she never worked for DoorDash but I haven't done the work an actual lawyer would have. The story I've heard is, we have a faceless potential flasher who was sleeping in his house who ordered food and asked them to leave it at t…

Yeah get the dude arrested he gets a fair trial and she presents the video as evidence. 1 scum bag off the streets. Social media is not a court, we are armchair lawyers at best and blatantly wrong at worst.

I swear you're rage-baiting now. Recording someone while they're naked without their consent is illegal end of. If she had an issue then send it to the police, they literally enforce the law.

I won't deny that if you're born ugly you'll have a hard time dating, I'm purple pill not blue. Here's the thing if you're not the elephant man you will find someone if you hit the gym be confident enough to carry on a conversation and kind, a man doesn't have to be good enough for movies but good enough to present to friends. Nobody has inherent value in my eyes, you have to earn value and respect but just being sociable enough to mingle at a party and sharing an interest is the baseline. When …

If we're doing it about men a better scenario would be he goes off to buy a car and sees his options. Most are out of his price range and a few are really bad a few are really good. He can talk to the dealer and get a discount on a better car but it's difficult and you've got to make them want to give you a discount because you're such a likeable guy it would be such a shame if you had to pay full price. Just rocking up and demanding a car would get you thrown out but if you show up looking good…

Yes and no If we assume all the men they meet aren't going to rape or murder them then yes they have it way better than men and that's no contest. The issue is that some men are going to rape and murder them and many men don't know the line between consent and rape. Women face a world where many men would take advantage of them if they got the chance so they've got to selective, they can't take a chance on every single guy that looks their way since it's both exhausting to go on endless dates wh…

From a purely animalistic view, yeah you're right but then why not throw away society altogether and go primal? Kill people born with genetic defects, rape women if you can't find one to willingly procreate with you and keep the weak subservient to the genetically superior people? Humanity moved beyond this the moment we started farming and we should continue to be better than animals.

Considering we're dealing with human relations amongst 8 billion people it's probably both. For every woman who's genuinely too picky, there's probably a man who's too desperate. Ideally, everyone should find their perfect match but more than likely your perfect match isn't a real person but an idea of a person. Women fear men, the reason for this is that there are enough of us harming women to make every woman think 50 times about talking to a guy. In my mind (I could always be wrong) this make…

I think the second part is true, we hear about the opposite sex's struggles but never experience them, we might be able to empathise but when sweeping generalisations are made from the opposite sex we get offended cause we know we're not like that and they're probably talking about a small but active part of our sex. As a man intellectually I know women aren't talking about me when they say men suck but it still hurts to hear. I don't get offended cause that is their experience but I don't see t…

I think the main issue is that most men have little to no standards. Women can be as picky as they want and there's gonna be a man willing to debase himself for her so they can get a sense of entitlement, these are the women you see on TikTok asking for 6ft dudes and all the works. They don't need a personality just looks and that's enough for most men so men look at this and go "women's standards are too high, I'm not that picky" and the argument about standards begins. Feminists and women on h…

The alpha shit would basically be red pill advice on how men can improve themselves. Work out, display confidence and competence etc, you be a masculine man. The beta stuff is the blue pill stuff that women say, pay attention to her and what she says, be her friend (women's idea of a friend), play the gallant knight and depending on how political the girl is pay attention to feminism. Do both and get good at both most women will think you're amazing and completely overlook height since it's some…

Oh God no looks are just a barrier to entry on both sides. If you get a chance to show off your personality which is rare unless you meet each other frequently your personality can get you over that initial barrier. The alpha beta mix is what I keep saying in these discussions, you need looks to arouse your partner but personality keeps them around when the butterflies stop but very few people even acknowledge that it is even a possibility and focus solely on blue or red pill talking points when…

Yeah, you should approach thoughtfully but judging from what women have said most men don't do that. When you approach you don't know if she's been approached 50 times already and is just sick of it or is still open to the idea, you should approach in public places where being there is a choice and encourages open conversation but then you don't know if she's sick of getting approached or is still open to the idea of someone approaching. The idea of her making it clear gets rid of that unknown f…

Obviously when women said don't approach the message was done very poorly. What they meant was don't approach unless it's clear I want to talk to you. I don't hate women and you should approach but if men are gonna adopt a simple single rule to follow then don't approach is the safest option both for men and women.

I've said this before but simping should be shamed. It pushes women who have nothing to add into the same boat as men. If men stopped simping and acted like women do then the dating world would shift overnight. Women not getting approached is a good thing for many reasons but it also forces them out of the passive role and makes them pursue the men they want and then they'll realise exactly what men have to deal with.

When you love someone you do stuff because you want to. You hold the door open because you want to, you pay for stuff because you want to, and they have sex with you because they want to. At no point is anyone keeping score of how much they've spent outside of budget planning and if you do keep score you will end up poisoning your own relationship. In every relationship, someone will be slightly better off than the other person and you want to "balance the books" because you want to make sure yo…

My bad I meant to put doesn't. I've edited the message You said neither of us gave examples so I gave examples. I understand you don't agree with the examples I gave but women have told me to my face that kind of shit is coercive, and that's the shit they're trying to get men like you to understand, just because the threat of violence isn't expressed doesn't make it ok. They don't feel good about it and when guys pressure girls into saying yes it genuinely harms them and that's why they say the …

Bruh like 3 replies ago I said it's legally not rape but still really bad. Then you asked for examples, I gave them and then I started talking about said examples. What the fuck do you even want? Yeah, coercive consent does count as consent in my book or the books of basically all women out there and this is where it goes back to my original comment of most anti rape messaging focuses on the most extreme examples and doesn't talk about the subtle ways people rape women in the parts not covered i…

If your partner isn't happy to have sex then don't have sex. This is a golden rule don't break it ever literally everything else comes second. If you can't get sex from you're partner while keeping them happy and enthusiastic don't have sex, and if the lack of sex ends the relationship then end the relationship.

Body language and reading the room is what it comes down to. If you kiss her does she pull away or keep going? If you move further then is she reciprocating and excited or is she hesitant? Most women know that saying no is dangerous so this can often show as them attempting to resist without actually saying no. Make her comfortable read her reactions and if she's not reciprocating then just ask her if she's ok. The fact that you even asked will go a long way to making her feel comfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/25 09:57 AM

Let me give an example then. If you spend time wooing your girlfriend that's seduction, you're making her want it, asking over and over until she just gives up and lies there like a dead fish so you stop asking is coercion. In one situation she wants to have sex she'll be enthusiastic to have sex, in the other she won't want to have sex but you keep asking so she just gives up so you leave her alone. Specific examples of seduction might be pampering her, being the gallant knight or even touching…

There's a difference between being seductive and coercive behaviour and if you can't see that I really can't help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 08:40 PM

Bruh. Coercive consent is still really bad, legally it's not rape but if you won't leave someone alone until they relent that's getting really close to the edge. You should always aim for an enthusiastic yes without having to push and push. Lastly, if your girlfriend isn't putting out enough, talk about it, and if the answer is still no the leave. You can leave a relationship for literally any reason.

With mental disorders or abuse, the moral thing is to look past it but most people won't when it comes to your partner. Someone can genuinely change and I believe that someone can become better but here's the rub, men tend to value sex more than women, it's harder for men to get it so we value it more. When someone is known as the local hoe most guys don't want to date her cause of the reputation and shame attached to women's promiscuity and this is still an issue in today's society. Men have to…

Toxic masculinity stops many men from just admitting when they're wrong but the same can be said for anyone who just refuses to concede when they're wrong but my point stands. If the possibility of violence is on the table be prepared to fight or run and often and any martial arts trainers will tell you that running is always the better option. I'm glad you're not putting yourself in dangerous situations though.

If you want a partner, you have to take their values into consideration, and they should take yours into consideration. Generally, men feel bad when they know you made them wait longer for sex than than other men, and it makes them feel like you aren't attracted to them. If you trying something and hating it is one thing, but if a woman consistently has hookups, then makes her future husband wait, then he's gonna feel like shit and wonder if she's just using him and it will take a lot of work to…

The messaging does need improving to focus on consent and stopping men from pressuring women into consenting. Those who drug women or drag them into an alley don't care for a second but the guy who pesters his girlfriend until she gives in should care. Most of the messaging is the lowest form of effort focusing on the most extreme examples and those are wasted effort.

The moral thing is for them to walk away but as women say men are emotionally unstable, so they won't walk away they'll blow up and the weaker person will suffer. Pick your battles and most aren't worth dying for. Your pride is making you jump through hoops to avoid saying running is shutting up, you can speak your truth at a comfortable distance or in places where violence is off the table but if you're not in that place shut up and walk away, think of it as a tactical retreat if that makes you…

The way I view it as a man is I don't want to hear later on in the relationship that you previously found someone you liked more than me. It feels bad to know some other man had to put in less effort than me to get the same result. I'd imagine the same is true for women, nobody wants to hear their partner put in more effort for other people meanwhile you're jumping through hoops to keep the relationship going. From a societal angle, women having lots of casual sex makes men as a whole put in les…

It still sorta is taboo. If an incel (not a misogynist) asks for advice he gets two sets of notes, 1 from men and 1 from women. Women's advice will be all the blue pill stuff but that's half the story. Women's advice is about being a safe person for women to hang around with and will help build a lasting relationship but won't get you laid unless you know the parts they aren't saying. Men's advice tends to be all the red pill stuff and that is controversial but it is still half the story. Men's …

I feel as though most people are a net negative on each other when it comes to relationships. If you've grown comfortable being single then suddenly you've got half the space, need to cook twice as much and have to cater to someone else's needs even if it's respiracted in a 50/50 relationship the act of stepping out of your comfort zone will lead to it being a net negative until you become comfortable with the person and even then they'll you're still likely to get into arguments of things and i…
