I'm still proly not gonna see it though. The DC live action movies have been pretty shit. They need to go in harder on their animated stuff.

It takes 5 seconds to look up the definition of pedophilia.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 03:51 PM

You're right, the actions she took are absolutely evil. Pedophilia is not an action somebody takes. Rape is an action somebody takes. But you cannot charge a person with pedophilia, you charge them with a multitude of things like rape, child abuse etc. But Pedophilia is a mental illness. Mental illnesses are not crimes. A person acting on any urges they might have as a result of being a pedophile is a crime and is undeniably inexcusable and claiming it happened because they are mentally ill will…

And you're deliberately choosing to ignore the line immediately after what you cited (although she still very well could be one). You're projecting what you want my reasoning to be and you have to ignore specific parts to justify it. We're done here.

Better watch out, you might get accused of being a pedo.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 09:49 AM

I'm not personally denying that she's a pedo, I'm pointing out that the news article isn't calling her one because she hasn't been diagnosed. You're assuming that because I understand the reporters reasoning means I would have done it the same way, so let me break this down for you. Bobby, Susie and Jeff are neighbors. Susie asks Bobby what Jeff's favorite flavor of ice cream is. Bobby tells her it's chocolate. Because Bobby knows that Jeff's favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate, does this …

I absolutely do not sympathize with either of the people in this article. They are atrocious human beings and can rot in a hole. I'm giving you the news outlets likely reason for giving the article the headline they did. My personal feelings on who these people are has nothing to do with the decisions made by the people who wrote the article.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 09:18 AM

The man has likely been diagnosed with pedophilia in the past, which is why the article can call him a pedophile, but no matter how horrible of a person she is the news outlet can't call her a pedophile until she is clinically diagnosed. While a court court cannot diagnose her as a pedophile, they could order her to get a psych evaluation, which would likely result in such a diagnosis, but until that happens a news outlet absolutely cannot accuse her of being one. They aren't allowed to diagnose…
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 09:01 AM
-89

You're probably right, but the news still can't label her as such unless she's specifically diagnosed. It's the same reason they have to say "so and so allegedly committed this crime" unless the person in question is specifically proven in court to have committed said crime. And since pedophilia isn't a crime, but a mental illness, she has to specifically be diagnosed for the news outlet to call her a pedo even if the court says she committed the physical crime. A court can't just declare you me…
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 08:36 AM
-279

Pedophilia isn't a crime, it's a specific mental illness. It's poor form for a news outlet to label people as having a mental illness unless they specifically know they've actually been diagnosed and can also result in them being sued. They likely wouldn't be sued in this case, but they still need to keep in the habit of not throwing those labels out so they don't slip up in a situation where they really could be sued.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/02/21 08:25 AM
-10

Pedophilia is a mental illness, not the actual act of molesting a child. The lady likely made the videos at his request for his own gratification which would make him a pedophile, but not necessarily her (although she still very well could be one). This doesn't in any way lessen her crime, I'm just pointing out that pedophiles are the people who are actually attracted to children. A criminal that makes CP for a living may do so because they find it to be lucrative, but not necessarily because th…

The term is still literally correct, and they call it rape in the article. "Relationship" is not a word that necessarily implies something positive. If you have a bully in school, that's still a relationship, it's just not a good one.

Businesses are typically expected to not intervene in this kind of thing for the very reasons this went south. It's a liability issue. You aren't liable if you don't help, but if you do and you're on the wrong side of things you can get in a lot of trouble.

This was from 2015. The article says that he's getting sentenced separately (and I assume he has by now), which is fine because that's how courts work. Based on what the article said he actively molested the girl as well, so he'll probably get it worse, not that getting a harsher sentence means anything in this case.

The word "relationship" is a neutral word and doesn't necessarily have to imply a romantic situation. A rapist and a rape victim is still a form of relationship. If one were to say "The relationship between sharks and tuna is that of a predator and prey." most people wouldn't immediately think that it's a romantic situation between a shark and a tuna because the statement clarifies the type of relationship. When you associate with somebody or something in any way you have a relationship with it.

The actual article doesn't say that. It just says she's being charged with second degree rape. And even on the post here it leads with calling it rape.

I also commented on that in response to somebody else. Even if you deck a cop in the face, unless it's a repeat offense or you cause serious injury you can only get up to a year in most states. It's completely reasonable that a failed attempt where you didn't even land a blow would be less than that.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/12/20 01:37 AM
2

It really is. Maybe if it was a repeat offense, but excluding that you don't give anybody, man or woman, 10 years for a failed assault attempt. Even if you punched a cop in the face it's usually only gonna get you around a year if it's your first offense. A failed attempt would be even shorter, so crazy as it sounds, 120 days is actually somewhat reasonable unless you're a repeat offender.

It's not illegal, but it's still a bad look for the school and they can fire her for it. Having an onlyfans account isn't a protected class. I still don't think it really belongs here. The school may have had the right to fire her, but it's not like she was really doing anything wrong. Although I suppose if some students found it she could be unknowingly taking money from them which would be problematic.

This movie isn't even about Jesus, it's about a chick with a Jesus fetish pretending to be a nun to get out of a drug deal. However stupid you think that plot is, most people who are against this movie seem to think it's literally a movie about a genderbent gay Jesus. It's not, and I really don't think this is a proper PPD situation just because the plot is potentially stupid.

However, I came to find that the men here did not take kindly to sexist posts, and I really appreciate that you guys don't let this sub become something hateful instead of something calling for justice. Just be aware that this shit does pop up here relatively frequently. It's unfortunate, but you can't really have…

The keyword here is "I". They said "Can I get you a drink?" If a person pays for their own drink then it was not gotten for them by another person. The only exception is if the person asking was the bartender because they are the one physically pouring the drink.

That point honestly isn't without merit, but nobody is required to go involuntarily anymore and they also had to fight for the right to choose to go to war alongside the men. Asked why Muslims are allowed to pray in a royal park when it's against the law for anybody to pray in royal parks period. The police apparently have instructions to ignore it even though it's against the law. Just to be clear it's not against the law for them to pray. They can pray anywhere they want except for royal parks. Same treatment everybody else gets. Here's the reason why it's illegal.

Yes we do. She's getting arrested for asking why somebody is allowed to break the law when others aren't. It has nothing to do with her gender. There shouldn't be an expectation for anybody doing this to be arrested, man or woman. It's only a pussy pass if they try to use it to get away with things they shouldn't. Asking questions is something everybody should be allowed to do. She's being punished for something no human should be punished for, man or woman.
/r/PussyPassDenied29/05/18 02:38 AM

Cops really shouldn't be using more force than necessary on an unarmed person to begin with unless they're very physically strong or trying to resist. The use of less force wasn't a pussy pass, it's just proper procedure. Granted that doesn't mean that they always use proper procedure on men. It's more of a case of them discriminating against men than a case of giving this woman a pussy pass.

The only problem I see with the equal punishment deal is that if somebody really is raped and the person they accuse manages to be found innocent in a court of law, that suddenly means that the person who was raped is also going to jail for making a false accusation. I'm all for it in theory, but I fear that in practice it might either discourage rape victims from coming forward if not outright punish them for it should the person they're accusing get away with it. People like you are the reason the pussy pass even exists in the first place. You are literally telling me that my opinion is wrong when all I've been saying is that I wouldn't sympathize and even went out of my way to say that I wouldn't actively wish it on them. I am not going to spend energy on feeling bad for a horrible person. You have no right to tell somebody how they should or shouldn't feel about something, and if you want to do that there's a website called tumblr you can go to.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/11/16 04:41 PM
2

No, I'm the guy who initially started this by saying that I wouldn't sympathize with with the rape victim and I've gotta say, there is a huge difference between refusing to sympathize with somebody and wishing harm on them. Wishing harm on somebody for the sake of self satisfaction is never ever okay.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/11/16 03:08 PM

Nobody is saying that we want people to be raped, only that we won't feel bad if it happens to somebody who tried to make a false accusation.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/11/16 03:04 PM
7

Because a rape accusation can destroy a persons life in the same way being raped can, except in one of those events everybody will think the victim is a bad person. I'm not trying to say I want people to get raped, only that if it happens after they tried to make a false accusation I wouldn't feel bad for them.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/11/16 02:59 PM
95

I'm not saying I would wish it on them, I'm saying it would be karma and I would have no sympathy. I will never truly wish harm on others, nor would I admire the person doing the harm, but don't expect me to feel pity when a bad person gets their just deserts.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/11/16 02:33 AM

I would argue that those seven children shouldn't be without their mother. That's arguably worse since people make money off of it.

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up.

Is there a joke here that I'm missing?

Eh, if somebody cooks for me I'll be honest if they ask how I like it.

Considering that this movie was written and directed by a guy I don't think this really counts as a pussy pass attempt.

Normally people wouldn't immediately become aggressive because somebody is filming. Regardless of whether she was using a pussy pass or not she's still a bitch.

Last I checked murdering children doesn't seem to accept pussy passes as easily as other shit anyways.

They literally tried to sue him for saying he didn't do something. Not suing him for doing the thing he said he didn't do, but suing him for saying that he didn't do it. Regardless of what you think of Cosby that kind of case is horse shit. It's like suing somebody for hiring a lawyer.

Don't be stupid. She's from French!

Everybody knows. We're encouraged to take the piss out of mods on this sub when they're being dumbasses though. Go read the sticky. The one made by this same mod.

He's just upset about Poa leaving.

Now if only we could get rid of Pao.

That depends entirely on how a possible court case would go. He can argue that she was lying to him and only using him for material gain while he was getting them for her out of goodwill. Stuff with gifts tends to be a bit blurry but the judge can say "screw it" and just give them to him regardless. And unless a court case happens which it likely will not then the police can't take the stuff from him if she can't show that they're rightfully hers, which she probably cannot.

Being an asshole doesn't automatically mean you're in the wrong. It just means you're being a jerk. An asshole telling you that 2+2=4 is still right.

Even with the video she would have a hard time proving that. Besides he left her bag behind and she was still trying to stop him. I would wager the stuff he kept really was his.

He's got the receipts and probably the transaction history. It's his stuff.

It will be when the police watch the video and see the guy defending himself.

I agree onehundred percent. On an unrelated note can I interest you in some of my merchandise?
