I’ll repeat this until I’m blue in the face. Women would much rather swipe on a bunch of 8/10 men while sipping wine and watching Netflix on the couch, than sit at a bar sipping an $18 Manhattan while a bunch of schlubby losers cold approach them.

Can't really argue with any of your points; very clearly defined. I'd just toss in my $0.02... 1) Re: first kiss... at or before the end of the first date, I will always advocate going in for it before you head your separate ways. I'm big on consent, its certainly worth asking "can I kiss you", but just like popping the question or cross-examining a witness, don't ask the question if you don't already know the answer. Additionally, you can absolutely infer a great deal of sexual chemistry and sk…

Men do not give a flying fuck about most of these things… have you ever asked a man what he finds attractive? A nice head of hair, sure. And don’t be Sasquatch, sure. Who gives a shit about your eyelashes or asymmetrical boobs? I guarantee you we do not.

The sausagefest epidemic is VERY strong and not discussed enough. I commented yesterday in another sub something along the lines of "why would a woman sit at a bar and sip on an $18 manhattan and have schlubby losers approach her all night, when she can watch netflix on her couch and line up 2 weeks worth of dates with 8/10s without ever getting out of her pajamas?" You can't win either way lol

This. The number of times I've heard women complain about "talking to guys who look like the gym is their entire personality"... ...well, stop swiping on only ripped dudes and maybe you won't have this problem that YOU'RE causing? lol

Bios are only there to determine the most basic of compatibility. Religious? Political leaning? Want kids? Cat or Dog person? Swipe based on that, then actually ASK the person about who they are. A few sentences are never going to give you an accurate picture of a "vibe"...

but it said the (attractive) guy the woman knows in real life will always win over the chad she’s talking to online. Guys, you aren't hearing the full message. She's not comparing online chad to the "average man" in her social circle. She's comparing online chad to IRL chad-lite.

This. There is some unknown % of people who aren’t putting themselves out there and you’d never get hard data on how big that number is. Dating is expensive, and after the 50th bumble ghosting a guy might think “COD tonight with the boys is a much better use of my time.” And I wouldn’t blame them.

Grew up in the conservative religious American south. Sex was taboo, and you were programmed to pedestalize women. Being a good kind man was all that was taught. Growing up is already a social minefield, and when you trust your peers when they say “be yourself” you completely miss the point. I never truly got any decent amount of attention until I hit the gym, became an aloof asshat with options, and stopped being a doormat. The bar for “nice” is low, but the bar for attraction is high. Many men…

Gotta play within the rules and results you’re given. 99% of women put “want a relationship” because if they were actually honest they’d get a deluge of “hey bby u wan sum fuk” And lol all you have to do is ask what someone is open to. Have a dialog. It’s not hard to figure out.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:30 PM

I actively advise women to never actually put "something casual" as what they're seeking for this reason. Everyone should just have "relationship" and then when you actually get a few messages in, you can have the "what are you really seeking" conversation. And lo and behold, MANY of them are completely fine with NSA/FWB/Casual. Guys, just don't be a douche for the first 5 hours and you're probably going to increase your odds 1000x. "Dark hair and green eyes" are still specific physical attributes. My point is, what I was told (by my parents, my peers, popular media, etc.) was that female attraction was "complicated" but dependent primarily upon non-physical attributes (see: funny, smart, charismatic, commanding, sensitive, etc.). And that "universally attractive frame" is different for every woman and isn't all that important. I guess this all boils down to what matters most. If someone (either a woman whose opinion I resp…

This is literally all I was told growing up - that personality, sense of humor, etc. were what women are really attracted to. Just cause a girl says she likes a guy who's kind and loves animals and volunteers with the homeless doesn't mean she's implying she likes any guy who does that. But some guys act like she's committing some purposefully misleading omission by not adding "and is also hot" I made this point a few days ago and it bears repeating: for men, the phrase "I like men who love anim…

I grew up with the interpretation of "just be yourself" as "someone will love you for who you are". Just like a lot of things in life, the quiet part never gets said out loud. "Just be yourself" means don't change your aspirations, beliefs, and core personality to be more compatible with someone. It doesn't mean that what you're doing and what you look like are sufficient to find love. This is where we went wrong (see also: "looks aren't as important to women" lol)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 01:32 PM

Are you a woman, talking with other women in mixed company, when they discuss this? Not once has anyone in my life said something along the lines of "I'm dating so&so because he's so hot/muscular/tall"... I have several FWBs and women friends, mostly mid-30s, and it literally has never been brought to my attention unless in the context of why they're attracted to me, but well after we've been dating/seeing each other awhile.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 03:03 AM

The issue is that men have no hesitation when voicing that physical attractiveness is 90% of the battle. "She's hot AND can cook? sign me up!" Most men have never heard such honesty reciprocated by women in this regard: "He's hot AND he volunteers at the soup kitchen? HUBBA HUBBA!" Just fucking say that looks matter, that's all we're asking. Stop tip-toeing around this all-important but completely hidden requirement.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/23 02:08 AM

there is a lot more to life than chasing tail. Sure, but you have to have experienced enough of this to understand the position to be able to make such a claim. A significant portion of men have no idea that it isn't everything because they've never even had any positive sexual attention or physical touch in their lives. To them, it is everything and you cannot convince them otherwise.

Neat. Maybe we have different experiences growing up. I was told that being a good guy who was intelligent, driven, interesting and talented would be enough. This is a shared experience amongst many men. No one told me that having 12% BF would be worth more than all of that shit, until stuff like TRP came along. But good for you for reaching that conclusion I guess.

I'm going to respond to this with the assumption that you are a woman; feel free to correct me if that assumption is incorrect. nobody has been saying looks don't matter to women. I see this claim all the time but nobody can identify where it comes from beyond "women", despite the ample evidence from women themselves that of course looks matter. I never claimed looks don't matter to women, I merely stated the verifiable fact that as a man, the importance of looks was never communicated to me by …

TRP can take credit for broadcasting the unspoken importance of physical stature, discipline and the confidence that comes from being fit. Since no women I’ve ever met or dated has ever ACTUALLY admitted that it matters (before we get intimate), when it actually matters a metric FUCK TON. Physical fitness is lauded as a society, but when women refuse to acknowledge its importance and instead talk about “personality”, “kindness” and “being funny” as the cornerstones of attractiveness… well it’s n…

“We like funny guys” and “we like hot guys that are also funny” These are two completely different statements to the male brain, which typically interprets information at the most literal level. We grew up hearing the former, when you should’ve been proclaiming the latter. Just my $0.02.

Your individual situation isn’t under attack here, as I think you understand. This is a generalization, and one that I reckon most men can attest to. We acknowledge that outliers exist, and your honesty and anecdote does contribute to the conversation. “Someone will love you for who you are” is a BP counter argument I hear often. Aka “it doesn’t matter if you have a dad bod and work a social services job that pays $40k, you’re still worthy of love.” This is the exact opposite of what works, which is “get fit, get rich, and your dating woes will basically be resolved”.

We can acknowledge it sucked back then for women, just like we can acknowledge that it sucks right now for a lot of men. This isn’t the “big gotcha” you presume it to be.

Going out on a date can fun, but it can also be a lot of work and money. Grabbing a few beers after a long workday? Cool. Dropping $400 on a nice dinner and then going to the symphony? Also cool, but requires way more work. If they end up at my place afterward in either scenario, give me the former 9 times out of 10. The trick is finding someone who likes doing both of those things with you. If she’s into you, dating should be fun!

Because humans want what we can't have, and the majority of men will never experience being lusted after by women, objectified, or otherwise DESIRED physically and emotionally for who we are -- not just our resources. Also, we were spoonfed media of the chubby, bumbling husband who the wife simply tolerates since we were born. No man wants to be THAT GUY. Just a guess.

Makes it a lot easier for a LOT of people. I no longer need to dress up, go out, spend $100 on Ubers and drinks at a bar to “meet” 20 single women (who I know are single, not just trying to get me to buy them drinks lol). It’s incredibly efficient for the people it primarily benefits… which is attractive people who have maximized their online profile/presence.

No, it clearly states that you shouldn’t get mad at women for their nature. You can be frustrated for not understanding it, or upset that you’re just now finding out how things really work. But there’s nothing inherently adversarial about TRP except keeping your guard up and being capable of keeping someone on their toes. This is like getting mad at all of Islam because a handful of whack jobs flew planes into buildings. A few bad apples shouldn’t spoil an ideology.

Crimes against women (assault, sexual assault, murder) may be down from 100 years ago, but my point is... we've got rovers on mars, a giant telescope in orbit able to peer 15 billion years into the cosmos, and a woman can't put her airpods in and go for a run after 7pm in this country (USA). Men are more attracted to the female body as a whole than women are to the male body. This is the crux of the argument; you say that (and you very probably mean that) but this is in fact not the observation of many men (myself included). No, they admitted those things to me because I am that guy, hence the brutal honesty. I think the issue we (speaking in generalities) have is that our preferences basically boil down to “don’t be a drag, don’t be fat” and that’s literally it. Any ethnicity, big ass, little ass, big boobs, little boobs, blue collar barista, it doesn’t matter — it’s the asymmetry of expectations that grinds our collective gears.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 10:43 PM

I know the plural of anecdote isn’t data, but every single woman I’ve ever been with has expressed strong preferences for tall (non ethnic) men with a full head of hair, the ability to grow a beard, good teeth and making over 100k. This is so counter intuitive. If you're hot, the safe assumption is that you have sexual experience. The "late bloomer"/"now-crazy former church girl" folks are out there but are exceedingly rare. Tis indeed a trope here. "Lack of personal hygiene" is an extremely common complain amongst women, but it is often phrased as "if guys just took showers we'd find them so much more attractive!" No, we have to be attractive first to be attractive, and I can even attest to having had hookups after a long sweaty day outside where I know I'm gross but it matters precisely zero. Nothing matters past rules 1&2 ;-)

My female HS friend died on the back of a motorcycle from this bullshit “dangerous” stuff. You can be mysterious but not life-endangering.

I think the disparity here is that in this forum, the ONLY thing a woman has to do is not be fat and she can have dating success. Men get some leeway because we can take on work stress, have a beer gut but be physically strong/domineering, etc. but women (again paraphrasing) only have to worry about one thing and it will solve all of your relationship woes. Like Peter Griffon says, “Lois, men aren’t fat… only fat women are fat!”
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 07:58 PM

It tends to embitter some people because they weren't liked "for who they were" but instead for "how they looked". Its a tough pill to swallow.

No arguments there, this sub should be meant for entertainment purposes exclusively. Just beware of chastising someone who sees sex as a reward; it reeks of a billionaire telling poor people that “money can’t buy happiness.”

If you had a penis and never (or almost never) got to use it, you’d see this differently. Remember half of these PPD guys are virgins or severely undersexed so for many, sex is this forbidden fruit that they can’t seem to get close enough to taste. I cannot fathom what it’s like to, for example, have a child grow inside me or have menopause or whatever… so don’t try and understand why men are so biologically driven to value sex above almost all else. There are reasons that there are 8+ billion p…

Because incels won’t stop shooting up movie theaters, schools, etc. Why do you think Reddit keeps quarantining / banning these subs? The worst that comes from FDS and other feminist communities is that now my date wants to go to sushi for the first date like it’s some kind of test. Big whoop.

Seconding this. No one wants to get hit on at the fucking grocery store, they go out to bars/clubs to proclaim their single-ness. Alcohol, music, close proximity, lowered inhibitions open a lot of social doors... especially if you have mixed groups or have a wingman or two. Don't hit on women at work or at school, but become friends with them and maybe they'll invite you out the next HH? Maybe one of them has a hot sister who is in town for spring break... but have at least one degree of separat…

Fuck the haters. My friend showed me that sub back in 2013 (or thereabouts) and it completely changed my life and relationship with food. While it isn't for everyone, the results are undeniable for those who have found success with it. If even one person here makes it over there and changes their life for the better, then your link has made the world a better place.

This is the answer. A guy's SMV is peaking in his 30s (still clinging to youth, not fat yet, higher status and income) so once he sees he has options, all of the sudden he wants what you presumably had in your 20s... "abundance of options".
