1	Is cheating really that common ? In actuallity, it's the opposite. Look up the statistics --- 60 years old and over have the highest rate of infidelity. There is a poll going on over at r/adultery: How long into your relationship/marriage did it take for you to have an affair? I was surprised at the number of people in marriages 20, 25, 29 years before having a first affair. 1	Is cheating really that common ? A lot has to do with the length of the marriage. Marriages of 10 years or less the statistics are probably 15 to 20 % have had at least one incident of infidelity. Get into marriages of 25 years and more and I think we're talking 50%. They always report men having more affairs but trust me, it's really more women.
