You can't really go against the narrative in this sub, though, obviously. Most of my comments get downvoted by misogynistic twats. I'm totally in favor of denying the pussy pass every time, but these guys just take it to a different level. I'm gonna B out of this sub.

Yep. Her cheating does not justify his stealing. Once he stole her phone, she had the right to use force to retrieve her property. Shitty post from a shitty user.

I rarely see videos that show police both following proper protocol and being incredibly reasonable with onlookers. I'm sure part of the reason is that, usually, people only bust out cameras when police are being either unreasonable or not following the law. I also am vehemently against police brutality, and I'm pretty much on the same page as you. I'll admit that I'm probably biased in that I generally dislike cops, as my experiences with them have painted them in a bad light. I have never been…

If he decides to take that job knowing he has a set monetary obligation, then no, it should not change anything.

Yes, that would be bullshit, and I wasn't making it a gender issue. Regardless of which party has the extra kid, the payment should not change.

The point is that decisions made after the relationship ended should legally and morally have zero bearing on how much money he pays to her. Her decision to have more kids is affecting the freedom of this man, although he had no part in the decision and the kid is not his. It's bullshit.

The part that made me rage was where it explains how her only defense for keep receiving child support was that it wasn't a "burden" on Jon. Bitch, it doesn't matter if it's 3% or 30% of his income... it his, not yours, you filthy bottom feeder.

Cost of housing increased, along with the cost of general food, etc. yes, everything is more expensive now.

I recall only 10 years ago the minimum wage being about $5 in Ohio, and now it's approaching $8. Seems like a significant raise in wages to me.

Pay rates aren't as simple as how big your check is. It matters a whole lot more how much you make vs. cost of living. Unions raising the wages of blue-collar workers does not help said workers, as cost of living rising along with minimum wage and average wages and essentially nets those workers no benefit. As I stated before, unions had their place in history in creating the 40 hour work week during a corrupt and violent time period. Presently, however, they are outdated, outmoded and corrupt t…

One stat you also missed: -47% of all statistics are made up. I have much, much better benefits, including health insurance, dental, vision, time off, etc. with my current non-union employer than I ever did with my previous union employer. By a very, very long shot.

The decline in union membership has nothing to do with "middle class earning power." Have you ever been a member of a union? I have. There is exactly zero benefit. I was part of a machine that carried lazy, under-performing employees and did not reward effort or merit. Unions hold back those who are willing to work and benefit only those who who aren't. Unions had their place in history, but they are no longer a benefit of working people. They are a money-making venture managed by what you would…

I'm not saying that I agree with the article. The last few bits are dumb, but they certainly aren't WTF. It seems that /r/WTF only has an issue with this article because it's from FOX News and because it challenges the concept of feminism. I agree with the author's assessment of how gender roles have changed. That the sexual revolution has created unbalanced gender roles, all while claiming to be making an effort to destroy gender roles, but I disagree with the author's offered solution.

It's entirely possible that he has missed child support payments and is whoring karma by trying to appear like the good guy. We don't have a clue. There's no context.

Maybe before everyone jumps to the immediate conclusion that this guy is a perfect citizen and this chick is being a bitch, let's get some context. Dear OP, what is the situation that caused this exchange?

Rape is in issue in both men's prisons and women's prisons. Also, keep your ad hominems to yourself.
/r/MensRights24/09/12 07:55 PM

I get the point, but the ad still clearly continues to define rape with women as the victim. More appropriately, it should have read "victims know their attacker", not "women know their attacker." This very blatantly alludes that women are the victim in any given rape case.

I like that you assume that only men are in prisons.

I'd hazard that you enjoy pulling broad assumptions out of your ass, I would.
/r/MensRights22/09/12 05:48 PM

The point is that it can and does happen both ways, regardless of which incidents are reported (and whether they are true or false). For this poster to illustrate only women as a victim, it is subtly perpetuating the concept that only women are the victims, and this simply is not true. Sure, it isn't screaming this idea, but it feeds subtly back into the concept by leaving out men as victims.

This is partially the point I'm making. What makes a sexual act rape depends on how the initiator responds to the situation. If they initiate sex with someone, and they do not resist or otherwise say no or offer any sort of rejection, then report it as a rape later, it is not a case of rape.

I think it should be commonly agreed upon that if you are conscious, you are accountable for your actions. This goes for both males and females in any situation. If you are drunk, you made yourself that way, and if you make a bad decision and sleep with someone and later regret it, that's on you.

The effect of alcohol on a male's ability to acquire or maintain an erection is not the same for everyone, and this is a very, very poor way to measure decision making abilities. Secondly, the difference between consensual sex and rape is not decided by whether a male wants to have sex or not. If a male is drunk and decides he wants to have sex, this doesn't mean he is going to force himself on someone. What makes it rapes depends on how he acts on those desires. As a sidenote, I'm referring to …

Just to clarify, I researched this concept. There are two possible explanations: you are 40+ years old, or you are French. Double spacing after a sentence and spacing before punctuation became common with typewriters, as fonts were not perfectly proportional and it made reading easier. When computers came about, this concept died because it was no longer needed. Alternately, this is a somewhat common error that native French speakers make because they use different spacing rules. So, to summariz…

Please provide references. None of my english teachers, kindergarten through college, ever claimed this to be true.

I'm just curious why you put extra spaces in your sentences. For example, you wrote "No . " instead of just "No."

I won't argue against that. We're all fucked, but there are a toooooon of things much worse out here than the south. The south isn't what many people think it is.
