Funny, I'm a feminists(I guess you'd prefer the term egalitarian? I want equal rights for men and women), and I/we don't believe women are "eternal passive helpless agency-less victims." If you go over to say /r/TwoXChromosomes you find many who identify as a feminist. And while they agree women have been and are victims of many things, they also agree that men have been and are victims. They don't think women are helpless, they want and think women are independent and self-sufficient. Your kind…

There are people who believe it's the mans job to put women in their place, or reign them in, so to speak. But that goes completely against any sort of equality, and only reinforces gender roles and sterotypes. I was under the assumption the /r/mensrights wanted equal rights for men and women, right? More equality. But apparently that means bringing women down even further than men.

First of all, spanking and beating your child are two different things. I don't agree with either, but slapping a child's wrist, or hitting their butt when they do something wrong is very different from going out and smacking them across the face, or whipping them, etc. There are a lot of things that are okay to do with adults and not children, and vice versa. It's ok to have consensual sex with a 24 year old woman, but not an 8 year old girl. It's okay to confiscate a child's items when they mi…

There's a huuuge difference between BDSM and being beaten. Men should never beat their wives (and vice versa, or any people in a relationship). Now, being whipped consensually because you are into BDSM? That's fine. "letting" somebody beat you doesn't always mean you want them to, you just might feel it's wrong to try and stop then, or is maybe impossible, or in some cultures, you may get punished publicly. Sorry for any typos or mistakes, I'm on my phone.

I did make that assumption which was probably wrong of me to make. What you're saying is true, and that's a very unfortunate truth. I guess it just gets to me that a lot(certainly not all ) of people in this subreddit seem to preemptively assume that not all mothers deserve full custody. Of course a loot of children go to the mother only, and with my childhood I'm kind of biased. Plus most people I know who had divorced parents had equal, split custody so I don't have a lot of experience persona…

Not that im saying OP obviously did something to deserve not seeing his kid, but maybe there was a legitimate reason he wasn't able to see his kid? Like when my parents got divorced, my mom got full custody. But my dad was also a drug abusing drunk who verbally and occasionally physically abused his kids. Us older kids rarely even wanted to see him, even after he sobered up. He didn't see us in person for probably at least a year. You guys seem to be assuming that just because mom got full custo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
