I don’t think anyone is disputing that Texas A&M isn’t public. They’re saying it’s a private dorm that people choose to live in and pay for. The fact that the federal government gives them interest bearing loans doesn’t mean the federal government is necessarily subsidizing it in any substantial way.

The problem is football and wrestling because there isn’t a girl’s team for those, schools need to have a sport where there isn’t a boy’s team. I think OP’s main point was that a parent can’t move far away from the child’s original home and then expect the court to give more than weekends. If both parents stay close to each other I think it should be 50/50 without a doubt.

Simple, if you can’t get the child to school everyday it’s too far away. A 10 minute drive to school shouldn’t be a big deal even if it’s it a different city but I highly doubt a parent will be able to drive an hour to get a child to school.

Anything besides 50/50 should only be in extreme cases where either it's not possible because of location or where one parent isn't safe enough to be around the kids period.
