Just because they are calling themselves feminists, doesn't mean that they are feminists. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of feminists that call themselves feminists which actually follow the definition of the word. Instead of using another word for the people actually following its definition, why not use another word for the people who aren't going by it's definition? I believe it makes more sense to keep the word's original meaning instead of changing it.

Yes these 'feminists' aren't about feminism so why do we refer to them as that? By your logic north korea really is a democratic people's republic and we need another word for a 'democratic people's republic'.

What does that have to do with anything here?

I mean, when you're arguing about the literal definition of a word isn't the dictionary the best source? The word feminism is supposed to be about equality but many people confuse that with female empowerment which still doesn't change the definition of the word. Many 'feminists' say what they are doing is feminism, but that doesn't make it feminism, does it? There are many feminists who actually want equality and they call themselves feminists so I don't really see your point here.

I searched up the definition of rape, and it did not say that, can you please link what you're saying?

That's right, I don't get to decide what a word means, neither do you, so please search up the word feminism in the dictionary and tell me what it says.

Who cares about that, the actual meaning of the word is about equality. Just because it has femi in the name doesn't necessarily mean it's about females being empowered. Your argument is literally feminism had 'femi' in it so it means that females > other genders.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
