They keep the hamster wheels spinning and the Doordash guy delivering my food.

Clearly not unhealthy on a biological level or hermits would drop dead. It can be unhealthy on a psychological level if it makes you feel like a "loser". This is why we need to change the stigma around it. Too many people feel like losers being alone. Normalizing it would eliminate that.

Doubtful. It would appeal to a very specific niche (people who are very selective and serious about connecting with other people). For people in this niche it would be the most popular app by far.

Yep. Engagement from men will be lower initially, but gender ratio will be much better, leading to better long-term engagement from both sides.

Yeah, I cant believe so many people are bashing OPs suggestion. Shows how fucked we are.

It would discourage men with the player/sociopath personality from using it, which would make it appealing to women.

Yeah and I think this is bound to happen eventually. Look at Japan. 80% of men already checked out, birth rates in rapid decline. A dystopian future where humanity is slowly phased out while everyone sits in their room hooked up to dopamine.

Im guessing a lot do care, and slowly lose self esteem as the rejections pile up. Death by a thousand cuts. I guess some also become discouraged simply upon discovering the odds.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 05:32 AM

Cold approach on average leads to 99 rejections and 1 lay. Do we fault men for not wanting to go through 99 rejections just to have sex once? That shit cant be healthy for you, no matter how little you pretend to care and no matter what coping strategies you adopt.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 05:26 AM

Warm approaching is still approaching. At one point you are gonna have to risk rejection, and thats what men dont like and are checking out from.

You just need a good therapist who can relate to you. Ok I will stop now, enough sarcasm for today.

I have never selected the people I surround myself with based on their bank accounts, but solely on their words, actions and the way they present themselves Me neither. But you cant deny the value and power money has in our current society. Tons of interpersonal relationships are created on the basis of money every day. If you ever become rich, and start showing off, you will learn this very quickly.

You see it all the time. People work hard, get rich, buy a bunch of stuff, and use this stuff to show off the fact that their personality fits within the capitalist agenda, which almost everyone blindly follows and values. Thats why I call it an "extension". It isnt personality itself, but an attempt to neatly fit a personality within a frame that society values. A person is defined by his thoughts and his actions Which are, generally, reflected in their bank account.

It serves a purpose for getting to the end state of humanity, where we can peacefully replace everyone by AI.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 09:00 PM

It depends on whether you derive your self-worth from your personality, your looks or your money. Some would argue that their bank account is simply an extension of their personality. Which is fair. A guy like Bezos knows every woman he fucks will be in it for the money, and is probably okay with that.

Its "self improvement" bro. Get with the times. Put your earplugs in, get Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate playing on your phone, and go out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 08:23 PM

Both those remarks change nothing about the fact that there is a big difference in validation between a woman who is so attracted to a man, that she wants to fuck him willingly (one of the most validating things for men). And a woman that only has sex with a man because he paid the agreed sum of money to rent her body for the agreed amount of time (no validation whatsoever. The second one seems more transactional on the surface, but many would argue that the first one is just as transactional. T…

If you desire nothing, you cant fail. The buddhists and taoists figured that out 2000 years ago.

Its funny hearing a self proclaimed incel/blackpill say this. "iTs aLl aBoUT lOoKs"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 07:10 PM

Define "willing". There is always a condition. You must be hot. You must be rich. You must be charming. Etc etc. Different men get validation from different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 07:03 PM

Yeah. In sales, we measure success based on the conversion rate. Having closed 50 deals doesnt mean much in itself. What matters is the conversion rate. How many calls did u have to make to get those deals?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 06:45 PM

How do we quantify effort? Number of approaches?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 06:30 PM

Yes, many will. Their argument is that you pay one way or the other. Whether it be with money, attention or time. They will claim that their time and attention is worth more than their money. So they choose to pay with money instead. Its a reasoning that only works if you are a big baller CEO and busy all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 06:28 PM

Yeah, if you try hard at something and you still cant achieve it, that makes you a loser, by definition. Its like that with everything. And we naturally assume that most men try very hard at getting sex. Which is probably a fair assumption, for now.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 01:24 PM

Attractiveness is way overrated, even here. A much better predictor is rejection sensitivity. I have been studying PUA (spent time with multiple PUAs irl) and while attractiveness and social skills are indeed predictors there, rejection sensitivity always dwarfs them. PUAs say its a numbers game, and they are right.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 01:15 PM

That assumes someone else will listen to you and take action on your behalf.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 02:59 PM

If you dont like a game, either change the rules or ignore it. Complaining about it is bs.

I bet he would be okay with it if there wasnt a stigma around it. Just my intuition though.

In tribal times it wasnt. These days you can have a good life without interacting with anyone. Welcome to the new normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/23 11:50 AM

If men had the option, they would avoid it as well. Its just smart. Nobody likes rejection.

Bad? Nah. Not normal? Yes. We are changing that.

So women in countries like Sweden are less sensitive to rejection than elsewhere?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 04:28 PM

So women have higher rejection sensitivity than men. Why is that?

Antisocial ≠ alone. Antisocial: contrary to the laws and customs of society, in a way that causes annoyance and disapproval in others. How does being alone cause annoyance to others? Being alone is perfectly normal but has been tabooed to the point where people are literally afraid to go out and do an activity alone.

We go batshit insane after just a few weeks of no human contact. I dont think human contact is tied to well being. Otherwise countries like Japan would have higher suicide rates. Their suicide rate is the same as the EU average. Look at suicide rate by country and anti-depressant usage by country. There is no correlation between how social the people in the country are and the rate of suicide / anti-depressants.

Not normal - definitely. Unhealthy - doubtful.

Good question. I do plan to donate a significant part of my wealth towards advancing this movement. Cultural movements start online these days. There are already subreddits that are somewhat related (r/introvert, r/singleandhappy, r/asexual, r/aromantic etc.) but none that fit the movement perfectly. Once I figure out a good name for the movement, I will create a subreddit and crowdsource the promotion.

Is that because he has a biological need for talking with other people or because it makes him think that he is a loser?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/23 10:55 AM
2

The question is: How much of that need is engineered, and how much of it is real? You can create a need for anything with clever enough marketing.

Normalize being alone. Normalize not having friends. Normalize not being in a relationship. Normalize not engaging in sexual activities. The problem is the culture. Movies, books, TV series, games, social media. They currently teach us that the above is "bad", "atypical" and that they make you a "loser". There needs to be a countercultural movement, which normalizes them.

I have seen it work in the real world. Spent an afternoon with a daygamer. He did it exactly like you see on the videos (point out a girl, follow her like a stalker, get in front of her, do the front stop, give her compliment). It would be considered creepy as fuck if it was ever recorded, but in reality nobody cared. Dude was a tourist anyway so didnt care either way. Got rejected 6 times, succeeded on number 7. Lots of rejection, and numbers game, but it definitely works.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
