Lord, if I was unemployed I wouldn't be binge watching stuff, I'd be trying to figure out how I could keep a roof over my head. I wouldn't be bored, I'd be terrified.

You've clearly not gone through this exact situation with 5 totally different women from totally different backgrounds/upbringings, with vastly different morals. When you research (why women cheat) the answer you find is Redhill ideology. Sure. That's one answer. Probably the easiest one for you to digest. When you get tired of it, read about codependency and I think you'll get more of a grip on the real issue.

Thanks, it was a blessing in disguise, really. The other is pretty personal, but I'll just say he abandoned the marriage.

Actually no - the first one cheated like crazy and left me, and the other one was a fucking mess. Plus, as I said, I made more money and was more successful that either of them. I didn't "marry up" at all. You asked for evidence, you get it, then you make excuses about why it isn't true.

I am not married. Should've written "former husbands."

My husbands were all poorer than me, too. Not by much, but they were.

Mackenzie Scott married a teacher after she and Bezos divorced. Britney Spears married Kevin Federline, then that high school bf, then that guy who I don't know who he is. Everyone Madonna has married has been poorer than her. Maybe not Sean Penn, but it wouldn't surprise me if she was wealthier. Elizabeth Taylor married that Larry guy. He was a normal dude she met in rehab. Cher has dated plenty of dudes less well off than she is. Drew Barrymore married a normal bartender. That's off the top of…

Can confirm. I was in and know women who were also in open marriages because the husband wasn't interested in sex. Ultimately for me it wasn't my jam and we got divorced.

The fact that what is clustered high status has greatly varied throughout history and culture suggests its not hard wired at all. You can easily see this in female beauty standards in the US, which vary greatly by decade.

ive had several female friends make jokes about it or actually shame men with that insult even if they didnt know if they had one or not. Using short, bald, or have a small penis as insults are similar to a guy telling a woman she's fat, ugly, or old. Those are generic, lazy, go-to cruelties some people use. Why? I don't know, but I've only been called too old, ugly, and fat when I've told a man I wasn't interested ("you're too old anyway!"), was with the type of person who insults others when t…

I work with people who have a lot of trauma and have never seen or heard this. If anything, women will process things while men will call themselves "broken" and be reluctant to seek help. Both sexes can gain wisdom from processing trauma. If these beliefs do exist, they are caused by patriarchal norms

Resilience and a sense of self worth. Well fitting clothes, good hygiene. Stay active, and maintain healthy weight. Be self sufficient and resourceful, solutions and goal oriented. You're too focused on minute details that don't matter.

I mean, I don't know. But I know you'll be a lot happier when you can get in a space where you find beautiful things within yourself.

OP, just because tie women found that guy attractive doesn't mean you aren't attractive. Black and white thinking is a cognitive distortion. They weren't saying you were ugly, they were saying their friends bf was attractive. I hope that makes sense.

There a stereotype of men leaving their wives for younger women for a reason.

There was no such term as blackpill when I was younger. My mindset was due to low self esteem. My childhood was pretty yucky and I was very insecure about myself and took a lot of things personally that had nothing to do with me. Therapy and life experiences helped me. I think the fact that there was no terminology that validatedy experience was really helpful too. Feeling insecure is a common human experience.

As a woman who has felt ugly when men would talk about impossibly beautiful women - life isn't a competition, objectively some people are attractive in conventional ways, and despite this not all of them are considered sexually appealing to everyone. When we seek validation from external sources we will always feel horrible about ourselves. A therapist had me do an exercise that really helped me. After each bath/shower, she had me thank each part of my body as I put lotion on it. "Thank you legs…

Part off me feels this is rage bait because it checks all the stereotype boxes. I can't believe anyone would have a joint account with a person they've only known 8 months. I'll respond anyway. You said the he takes care of you, but all I see is you taking care of a petulant child who insults you constantly in backhanded ways. You feel like a maid and a mom because that's what you are. You're got to talk to him ASAP. Here's some tips. You can't save anyone so best to get out of that mindset or y…

The word "lonely" is thrown around a lot, but I'd argue that these men desire a sense of control, not companionship. In patriarchy you aren't a "man" unless you have power over something. Two ways to exert control over others are by being a leader and controlling resources. You can exert control in ways that are helpful and ways that are harmful. In patriarchy, violence is an acceptable and encouraged method of masculine control. You can get a dog and train it to be calm, polite, and friendly, o…

One could also say that a person who thinks that all women hate them because of their jaw size and income level is kind of paranoid and a wee bit delusional.

Imagine you were just hired at a fast food restaurant where you're making $8 an hour and an over-enthusiastic boss is telling you about all the the job "perks," including working with a "great team that knows how to make the job fun" and one free burger (no drink, no fries, just a burger) per 10 hour shift. You've got no PTO, no sick time, no health insurance, no job security, and this guy is trying to make your job sound like manna from heaven. That energy is what we're talking about.

What if you can’t be vulnerable with a male friend because he may be more attractive than you and your female friends could be more into him? I don't understand this statement. What difference does it make?

This is something that mattered to very much to me when I was much younger and didn't have much experience. I could care less now. I literally have no idea how many people I've slept with. I could tell you if I thought about it for a while. It is not in the forefront of my mind like it was when I was in my 20s. What's a low number of sexual partners for someone in their 20s? How about 30s? How about 60s? Is this measure the same for men and women? Does non-penetrative sex count? Do long term par…

I'd personally change that to "be resilient." Do things that make you happy, focus on college. These are things I wish I had done more of rather than crying about "all the good guys being taken" in my dorm room.
