There are some I don't agree with: "Please just make it clear if you’re not into this.” - I actually like this one. If there's ambiguity in her texting, effort, etc. you might say something like this and let her know you will move on if it isn't 50/50. There is nothing desperate about asking for clarity. I see no issues in you flirting. People hook up who work together all the time. You can do it discretely, and just know that you risk alienating an income source if you ask them out, but be polite and professional and its not creepy at all.
