You ever notice how a lot of men who whine about child support or being baby trapped or whatever didn't actually do anything to prevent it? Like this guy I worked with had 4 kids he was (bitching about) paying child support on and told me whenever he hooks up with someone he says he'll pull out and then doesn't. Like A) that's assault, and B) how far up your ass does your head have to be to think that's a good idea? Fuckwit.

I’m sure this is not only discouraging to women but also to the men who just want to be loved purely and romantically too. No I totally agree with you! Women aren't the only ones who want deep fulfilling relationships, and it sets everyone up to fail when society puts so much effort into insisting that men's primary emotion should be Horny. People are interesting and complex and multifaceted and, just like it's unfair to tell women that all they get to be is Sexy, it's unfair to tell men that al…

I mean I did search "valentines gifts for him", there were equally gross gifts for women too when I searched "valentines gifts for her", they're just disgusting either way.

Ohhh, I didn't have all that background, I've always thought of Etsy as a great place to get like handmade cat toys and shit. Maybe it's just not as wholesome as I thought...

I’m honestly not as grossed out as I am curious…what POSSIBLE reason could he have to do that?? Why?!?

I was whining to someone about how I was afraid I’d never find a man and she said “okay…what would happen if you didn’t?”. My knee jerk reaction was to think I’d just be sad for the rest of my life, but then I realized that didn’t make any sense and that really it would mean I could stop centering my life around a hypothetical man and start doing whatever the fuck I wanted to do.

Okay first of all, LOL at "they're just seasoned differently", I'm totally using that. Second, you're spot on! A big difference I noticed between my LV exes and my HV bf is that my bf knows when I'm upset without me having to say it, and most of the time he knows why too. I'll be thinking I'm acting normal and he'll ask me if something's on my mind or if I'm having a rough day because he cares to know when something's bothering me. My exes on the other hand were all pretty consistent: if I didn'…

I got the ick for this one guy when I realized all his good features were fake (example: he wasn't actually smart, he just tried really hard to make me feel stupid) and he was actually just insecure and delusional and being around him felt like spending time around a yapping chihuahua.

Having kids is a raw deal for the woman, my first clue was seeing the stark contrast you mentioned. If one side is saying "it's all rainbows and sunshine" and the other side is saying "it ruins your life", chances are it's the negative party that's telling the truth. We're conditioned from childhood to think we want kids (take a stroll down the little girls' toy aisle if you need a refresher) and society does the MOST to make sure even adult women don't realize that having kids is a choice and n…

He claimed to be a really happy and positive person (which he was with all his friends) but he seemed to save all his anger, which he would try to repress, to take out on me. The more time I spent around him, the more it started to feel like the machismo thing is centered around impressing other men. Like their lives are really all about what other men think of them, and the women in their lives are just there to service them in one way or another (in your case it sounds like you served as his e…

I dated a guy for a few months that was first generation Mexican-American and at first I didn't think the macho thing was an issue, but after a few weeks it REALLY started to come out. He was essentially the textbook definition of toxic masculinity/"traditional values" and it was NOT cute.

And the staff have sex with rape the half-dead female contestants before killing them and dissecting their organs. let's not dignify sexual assault by calling it sex

Oh it totally did, I just thought they could've accomplished the same thing without being quite so awful about it. But then maybe it needed to be that nasty to highlight how terrible that group was.

The only part I found unnecessarily sexist/gross was when that one dude admits that some of the employees took turns raping what they thought was a dead woman. But, I mean, it's a show about rich people making The Poors fight each other for their amusement, there are a lot of -isms going on. Women were def unfairly disadvantaged in the games but it wasn't by design, it was because there was an info leak (trying not to spoil too hard here). There's actually a scene where the Front Man talks about…

I’m kind of in the same boat. I’ve been on it continuously since I was 13 and I have no idea what my temperament/skin/weight is like without it anymore. I’m also worried that my super painful periods will come back in full force.

Gurl...this is FDS, we respect boundaries here and your personal "don't do sexual stuff to my asshole" boundary is no exception! If you don't like it, don't do it (and don't let any guy shame/guilt you into doing it either)! It doesn't matter what other people like, it's about what YOU like! :)

I had an ex tell me, straight up, “I don’t care about anyone else” when I told him his behavior was inconsiderate to the people around him. What really shocked me was that he didn’t say it in an angry “fuck everyone” way, just very matter of fact like it was the most normal thing in the world. I dumped him shortly after that.

Of course everyone is capable of leveling up and as an adult every man is responsible for his own actions, but it's a lot harder to turn into a well rounded, capable individual when you were raised to be incompetent and entitled. Now I'm sure raising good sons in the world we live in isn't simple, and I'm not trying to say it's women's fault that men suck, I'm really just talking about women who don't see a problem with their sons turning out like that.

Reading this kind of post always makes me a little crazy cause I just cannot imagine tolerating a relationship with someone like this for any length of time. Like I've def been suckered into it in the beginning when he's hiding this stuff, but that lasts for a few months tops and then it all comes out. Why would anyone CHOOSE to carry on like this?

"Only men with no gold are worried about gold diggers." I'm not sure I agree with this completely, I think some men will view women as gold diggers whether they actually have money to dig or not. This quote implies that having money fixes the man's attitude towards the woman in his life, but I don't think that's really the case. Also, I'm not sure it's entirely correct to say that men shouldn't care whether or not we're financially stable. Think about it from this perspective: obviously if you'r…

Who the fuck is talking to/meeting 2 new guys every day?? We got jobs man, ain't nobody got time for 2 new people (let alone two new men) a day! Fucking hell. Even in my days of OLD I'd only talk to one dude at a time cause they're exhausting!

Honestly, even if you do want kids, the clock can keep right on ticking cause there’s no sense in having kids with someone who isn’t fit to be a father. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve found that their opinion on pets says a lot about them. If they’re really into dogs but hate cats for some reason along the lines of “dogs are loyal and happy to see me but cats have boundaries that they enforce,” they’re probably huge assholes

There's a huge difference between giving consent and just not resisting, he knew damn well you didn't want to have sex and prioritized his precious little peepee over your suffering because he's a disgusting piece of human trash. I'm so sorry he put you through that, I hope writing it out and seeing FDS's response to it brings you some peace.

I worked in the vetmed field for years so mine are mostly animal related: If he hates cats (control issues/petty/immature/insecure) If he has a dog that's terribly trained (irresponsible) If he has a dog that's way TOO trained (control issues) If he refuses to fix his pets (irresponsible/cheap/toxic masculinity) If he owns animals that he would know he had no business owning if he had put even a shred of effort into research before getting said pet (irresponsible/idiot/immature/toxic masculinity…

My current bf and I knew each other for years before we started dating and he NEVER made a presumptuous move. He was extremely respectful and never made me feel like he wanted anything from me. I genuinely believe that if I hadn't been into it, he would have been happy to remain platonic friends. The first time we had sex he kept asking "is this okay?" and "am I moving too fast?" and "are you comfortable?" etc. He genuinely wanted to make sure that I was comfortable and ready for us to take that…
