Yep, 3 dogs and she kept them. I didn’t want to separate them and she has a house with a backyard vs my tiny apartment. Miss them so much but know it was the best thing for them.

In the same boat. Try to stay busy, I was doing well for the first few months but starting to struggle a bit. Definitely agree with others saying do things that make you happy that you maybe couldn’t do before. I’ve been to more concerts that I wanted to see in the past 6 months than I did in the 12 years with my ex.

Same thing happened to me and pretty sure it’s why she broke it off. It was both of our first times after divorce and we got pretty drunk. I never had that issue before, usually the exact opposite. I’m taking a break from dating and drinking for a while as a result.

I appreciate all of the responses. We have already agreed to the divorce, we will not be reconciling. I have just been swamped with work and adjusting to the new norm. Will be filing in the next month hopefully.

Thanks, I plan on filing soon. We don’t have any shared assets other than the dogs so it will be simple. I’ve been debating getting a cat, I’m in a small apartment and don’t want to subject a dog to that.
