If you meet someone who is truely borderline, you won't have any questions as to whether or not they are mentally ill. If you are curious, watch some of the documentaries on YouTube about borderline disorder. What you describe here just sounds like stonewalling, which is a pretty common unhelpful tactic people use. Google can tell you more, and possible ways to modify that behavior.

What are guys who can't hit a 5+ supposed to do? Or people who really don't care and just want company? I mean, it's not an ideal solution, but that could account for a handful of em, maybe. Also, don't forget that there are a looooot of stupid people...

This probably won't go over well, but has anyone else ever complained about you being condescending? She sounds out of line the way you describe, but I've come to find people that refer to others as 'snowflakes' tend to have a general ' I'm better than you' condescending attitude. Understanding how to deal with people requires understanding how you appear to people. Seriously? I work an intellectualy demanding job, which is software development, with both men and women. People that don't do their jobs deserved to be reviewed poorly. However, posts like this make you sound mysogenistic and immature.
