I'm over 6 feet and it isn't a super power. People need to chill on height. As someone said large height differences makes partner dance tougher (and some sex).

The only times I didn't like it were when they were assertive with no observation of my comfort level - just a steam roller. I like open and direct interest/communication.. and toppy women.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/29/opinion/sunday/why-you-will-marry-the-wrong-person.html This article is very insightful. What revs you up vs what is wholesome and rewarding to you long term are often at odds. Know where you are on that dichotomy.

I've been called cute almost exclusively(I'm 6' 4"). To counter this, I've grown some some sick sideburns that make me look/feel very mischievous. It has helped me channel my bad-boy/egotistical vibe(Affirmations when I look in the mirror). I can't say it has helped my results with women, but it has done wonders with my confidence. See yourself in a new light and just maybe the world will too.

Eh, I put sex on a pedestal during my youth. I'm wound a little tight all around. Workin' on it!

You are sort of true. I think you are missing the essence of the saying. You are saying that in your head -- if you are completely commited to the effort/trying - that's confidence. I assert that when you cross the line into wholly believing in the outcome, that's arrogance. You are reading too literally into your affirmation, the subtext is much more important(perhaps all that's important). It all ties back to outcome indepence. It's quite sublte, which one of the reasons it took me a long time…

It's much easier to be your truest when you are confident(I also think the reverse would build confidence). Keep up the good work.

That's what I like to hear! Me too really. I am quite tired of the -first success/generic things I need to work on post-. They are a collossal waste of space in my opinion. Or when people introduce themselves as a virgin. I don't see how it is relevant. People that haven't had good sex(myself included) are going to have some sexual anxiety that they can't even fathom. /rant

She texted me, asked to come over for dinner on Friday (my fraternity does a public dinner every friday). Not too long after that we went on a date where she showed a lot of interest. It really went downhill from there. I mostly just miss her when we were best friends(years before). I've learned so many harsh life lessons because of her. And I know I don't want people in my life to be as callous as she was.

Dissappearing sort of worked. When she returned she jumped into my lap. I was like you that I couldn't 'give her up'. So instead I ran the whole thing into the ground. I would argue that it is nigh impossible for things to truly work out because of the differences in investment(and she's probably not that great in some critical area for you). However, you can't tell your desire that. That's why I recommend just going untill you don't want to deal with any of it anymore. In my past, she pulled so…

Personally I don't like the question game at all. I've done similar things with people and they don't ask 'good' questions. Asking a good question is art. I read about it in an article about hosting people. It has to be open-ended enough and well constructed such that the recipient can steer it in a direction that is relevant to them - which allows them to elaborate in detail. Otherwise, it falls strongly into barbed and highly specific/personal or general - both of which usually result in a con…

Tolle is already on my reading list for the year and I was planning on tackling it sooner rather than later. I don't know if I need to understand it more(highly analytical, intuitive and introspective mindset), everything has been getting better with the reinforcement of the habit of building positive habits: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit." (Aristotle)
/r/seduction30/01/13 04:30 PM

Mmm, that reminds me of appending negative statements with "yet". I have made a habit of that. When I am concerned about something I say "I am not especially concerned." I think it sort of helps you from going down the worry path.

Field next to an apple orchard. Then we went skinny dipping(first time). God, I hate bugs(I did of course bring a blanket). I'm not sure a car would be fun for me at 6'4". I'd like to do it in a blanket fort. I think that's what my brother did for 12/21.

Generalize how you write messages(the kind of stuff that really works). You will have to work with someone on it so information is not lost in translation.
/r/seduction27/01/13 09:39 PM

Just like always in seduction, it comes down to tone, intent and subtext rather than syntax. Your guide is great, minus elaboration on those points.
/r/seduction25/01/13 07:50 PM

I would highly recommend against using questions(or the suggested use of questions). I have had an abysmally low return rate on any message with a question(especially of the sort inquiring for more information about something specific, general is worse - I experimented). You, however, know how to make a good question and have given me things to think about.

I'm nearly 6' 4". Yes, people mention it all the time to me too. The only thing I've got that elicits a good reaction, is squating down to below their height, then siding up close to them, looking them in the eye and asking, "Is this better? I can just stay like this all night, you know" -- Or something like that. You look like a complete goof -- sell it. Looking at each other at eye level(after the huge height difference) for even a moment can help the connection(It's a unique experience). Usua…

You are really on to something there with the 'manipulation'. If you want to see that philosophy explored, you should read The Fall by Albert Camus. It's a good read. Yeah absurdism x ethics.
/r/seduction19/01/13 08:28 PM
2

Maybe you are distancing yourself from them/reality. Mark Manson talked about the two types of people, socially over-observant and socially disconnected. He says the latter results in zero fear in interactions, but poor ability to connect deeply. Based on only what you have said, I wouldn't presume that this is true, but the framework fits. It easily could be something else. I would highly recommend reading Models, regardless.

This is what I do. Also I don't berate myself for now being awesome at it, yet. That helps too. Actually, recently I had an OKC date that didn't make any eye contact at all(You can't have a connection without it! No wonder she puts guys in the slow track). Totally lame. Goodbye.

Dig in mate, read the sidebar. In short, create a charged atmosphere, get you both in the mood, then makes the kiss happen by any means necessary(asking or going for it, whatever)

I can elaborate a little more: There is a definite difference between romantic love and platonic love. It's usually just as simple as wanting the best for them and realizing that you don't fit that role as a SO. A lot of times, the desire for romance is just a transferal of the desire for close contact(or skin fever as a cuddle buddy once put it) and if in the extreme: neediness. And to that I perscribe hugging friends often and warmly. (regular success with women helps too)

Yes, several. With one, I had a crush on her since I first laid eyes on her (first days of college). I am good friends with her and her best friend(total cuties). Everything is peachy now(5 years later). I wouldn't mind banging them, but no romantic feelings. I am protective and caring. My best friend is very much like me, personality-wise except she is LESS in touch with her emotions, but is influenced MORE by them. Because she's nuts, I stay away from that. I mean that JUST NOW I am learning to amuse myself. That doesn't change the reasons why I joined a long time ago. I think I have learned all I can from it, for the most part. I hope ALL people are interesting when I talk to them. I don't treat only people differently in that regard. I don't waste time on people that aren't. I've always been picky about the people in my life.
/r/seduction16/01/13 10:40 PM

Hmm, I joined because most people are boring. (I'm learning to always amuse myself) I was hoping I could sift through people and find others who are atypical and that are really looking for someone totally atypical(turns out this person is 1 in many hundred). There problem is that this is putting those people on a pedestal... I've learned a lot about women, their interests, and catagorizations of women, and what I actually want. However, it's making me a bit cynical(and/or making me come to term…

You both are right. A vast majority of the profiles make a point of -no hookups, being creepy, etc, etc" I'm confident that they have recieved many overly sexual messages. It has to be a very calibrated sexual response. I have yet to figure this out, though.

No, I haven't found any good(broad) written stuff about nonverbal communication. What I understand about it is condensed into a simple phrase: 'Like internal, like external'. So, disregarding overt things you can do with your body, you will unconsciously be projecting a lot of things through your body. These will be your emotional state, subconscious and conscious thought. This is why confidence is so powerful - because it is visible. Master yourself and you can master the world. I have just beg…

Yes, but you are missing the fact that most communication is nonverbal. Once you get over it, I doubt it will matter much. And to those that it does matter, you are better off without.

If a guy with one leg can be awesome with women, you can too(search for the post). My suggestion: Find some jokes about it that you enjoy. Now you have a random & authentic mood lightener. Bam.

I've been deciding to change every day(I'm an ambitious guy). I guess it all started a few years ago in the Fall of Sophomore year. A crush I was very close friends with just stopped talking to me, my sport - crew - ended for the season, my classes were very easy for me, and I entered a very deep depression. I've been working out of that, onwards and upwards ever since.

I have the 'Art of Seduction' and 'She Comes First' and 'The Low Down on Going Down' on my desk's bookshelf. The art of nofucksgiving is a beautiful thing. The only time I take notes is date planning, but that usually becomes very usuful for a location, even if a date will end up tailored to a specific girl.

A strong ability in anything can be reframed to provide success...in anything. I'm highly empathetic/intuitive/observant. This really hurts me in groups because I drown in information(I'm working around this fact). The trait really helps me to connect deeply one on one. So, is the trait a 'good thing' or a 'bad thing'? It's all what you make of it.

I have been doing tons of reading and sorting out issues and worldviews for weeks now. I had many thoughts which are burried in the reckoning of my adventures. I'm actually glad I waited because I want to approach now, not completely forcing myself to do it. I have never been more in state in my life. It was incredible. House party until 1ish, pretty boring. Finally make it to a funky bar. My best friend points out a cutie on the bench seating. I sit next to her and introduce myself. A friend ta…

I think the problem is intent. You need to broadcast a stronger sexual intent in them, then you can just free associate on nouns from the previous lines of converstation or happenings in the immidiate vicinity. Never interrogate.

Always Approach. When you are concerned about interrupting their quiet time, make that part of your opener. Sometimes people do just want to read their book. Say "Do you mind?" with a smile and sit down next to them.

A good old fashioned picnic is fun. You can do the shopping together too and get the tasty food you are in the mood for. River walking is a personal favorite(We laid out in a blanket after in a field surrounded by apple trees), I suggest skinny dipping (at the end of a date, obviously). Sledding is an excellent winter date. You have to get warm together, oh boy. You could try indoor rock climbing. It's only about 20 bucks a person for an evening. You get you blood pumping and plenty of opportuni…

Actually that's pretty true about men as well, especially those not in controll of their life. I once read that the best advice to a woman about romance is "Pay attention to what the guy is doing and not what he is saying." Paraphrased of course. I think it's a virtue to say exactly what you mean (and a rather uncultivated one at that).
