I can relate, glad to leave wife (she was abusive) but missed the kids. Turned into a severe alcohol issue -made it infinitely worse. Easily done. 16 months sober barely see one of my three kids she has full control. Plus - met 2 woman i genuinely loved infinitely more than my wife after the split. Timings were out. Is hope. Am single again and dont plan dating ever again. But life turned upside down, easy to spiral. Time does help, routine, gym becoming better etc. So overlooked divorce on men,…

Know it hurts man, if you love someone. As hard as it is your divorced - she can do what she wants. I couldn't care less who my ex wife sees but person I met after who ended it suddenly - does. I came off social media and well now shes entitled to do what she wants. Did I live my wife? No. Latest partner yes. But she ended it, her choice, went through the pleading embarrassment now just accept its in past unless she reaches out. Surprise your wife by becoming what she didnt expect - too good for…

Great advice. I took my eye off ball and focussed on seeing kids at xmas. Result. Resident contact, found out no real rights, ex gets hers payed and only today filed (free) to stop one relocating. Words id wished you told me 5 years ago. Fwiw inturned to alcohol and made things worse, today she saw someone sober 15 months, dressed smart in a good job, and got a small free win that may just keep daughter closeby. Ince your gone, clean break, revenge not in money, becoming better walked past her an…

Thanks! Court tomorrow so maybe relocation stopped. As least get chance to say it tried. Law here against me, her lies now in paper and hopefully sheriff at least has a look - he did issue writ after seeing evidence. But thought of not seeing kid you brought up alone - man that thought scares me 😞 plus wants new guy to play dad. Hurts.

Ive met two woman I loved infinitly more than my ex wife. Didn't work out but genuinely hope they found happiness, they.had hurt in them also. Shows you, grow and attract. Im done with dating but there's many other people out there. Two i mentioned, just out plus one I think had someone else.lined up looking back.

Good advice. Im 5 years in and person you had children with doeant care less.about your feeling. To the extent shes moving miles away and taking my 11 year old hours away from our city all for benefit of a much older guy who she has timed to coincide with daughter starting high-school. Lied to school, me, likely child and person appointed as go between as 'forgot' to mention to us all she planned to move. Now stuck in a town with no family and child cant just stay over. Neither drive and impract…

Life lived forwards, understood backwards. It can make you see rwd flags that you were previously blind to. I have.i drowned the gnawing in alcohol, very badly. Legally took ex.on - got sober. Do I regret meeting her. He'll yes. She's now your past bar kids - show up as the dependable dad. Sweetest revenge. I stopped doing what she would want me doing - i couldn't care less about her now .

I stayed in same during covid. Unsigned blindly. I wasn't co parent just residential contact. Massive difference. She's texting other men.. protect your future and make sure 50.50 kids. Time to protect you in the years to come but do not leave before legal advice.

Youve.alsp been emotionally abused - messaging other guys?.She should pack.and leave, its over. Ince the trust has gone, its over. I heard it an been through it. Its hard.and at times brutal, lies become truths to your kids. Fwiw it does have its pluses. Theire are other.woman out their - ive had two relationships with woman who Ioved far more.than my wife. Just get a good solicitor now and get 50/50, with kids. Judge normally uses that as a starting point.

Going through relocation issues. All things in mine favoured ex. If she claims Universal Credit - free legal aid and you face cots or in my case defending myself.

Some.doz.some.dont. Generally come.baack when the grass isn't greener or you've improved. Is thought never get over someone rhrn someone else.pops up. Had exes come back,.met.for a coffee, - amd said no when they wanted to try again Life's a journey..work.on you. And a.female has generally checked.out / other options before the final move. Become.a.better version of you.

Agreed, many male friends is always a flag. Love hearts from.co workers etc etc. Your there for a spell, rhen suddenly.....it's gone. Someone else.pops up or multiple people have stalked them. Normally see flags well after.

Rebounds generally never good either way. Think a year best to wait, both sides. If exes get mentioned (even negatively) something still sint healed, unless.they share kids etc.

Absolutely how are child can be weoponised and over time falsehoods repeated so often it becomes fact. Alienation is horrible and traumatic. Takes strength (and standing up) tonget through. Severe lack of support for men.

Gets easier but takes time. I missed my kids every day. I drank too much numbed the pain. Takes strength hardly seeing your kids. I stopped drinking and improved my life. Also realised that dating again - leave it a long time. Become best version of yourself. Fwiw im.5 years in, waited 18 minths to date, met 2 woman I liked far .ore than my wife. Loneliness is brutal at times- I find xmas hard. And exes who have kids most of time - can change narratives, plus in UK have legal uppercase. Stick in…

Did that for many years hospitalised so often for alcohol I've lost count. Get out, its not worth it. Blamed my situation and ex - its does leave scars. But seek help for both. Ive been away 5 years, and only now properly 13 months sober. Still same scars, but life's rurned around. Get help for the alcohol, understand how easy it is to block out- change is possible.

It's also abuse. Get sober and seek help. I had rhe same. Get sober, get out, get legal advice.

Mate I've been through exactly same and alcoholmonly made it worse. Far worse. I got hospitalised many times and my kid was kept away / phone controlled. Im.a year sober plus. If I can do it anyone can - held.down a good job. It's dark at times. But got.my child.back, legally. Had to sell everything. Bullies dont like lawyers letters. And I got sober. That daughter of mine - she spent Vhristmas with me, drining juice, with not much money - and said it was the best Christmas Eve ever. DM.if ever …
