Nah...I think shit like this is win-win. Either they're a fucking roid-head (not literally) and it gets under their skin, or they're not and it bounces right back. So the outcome is either a) they look like a douchemonster or b) it lightens the mood and everyone can keep having a good time.

What's your idea of an alpha male?

Well, yeah, the utility of the number is for future contact. The doctrine I'm familiar with, and that I tend to subscribe to, is that the phone number is just a means to an end, not the end in and of itself. So yeah, if it's clear you like each other and you're going to hang out again, not as big of a deal than if you've just generated situational attraction (which could dissipate between the moment and any imprecise, hypothetical future contact).

Will disagree with leaving a message. Awkward on all levels. There's no way to build on any of your groundwork with a one-sided conversation, and it severely restricts your callback options (if you've already left a message, the onus is clearly on her to respond, and when she doesn't, "Hey did you get my message" sounds retarded.") Texts on the other hand are much lower investment, and if she starts texting you back, then be like, "OMG you'll never guess what just happened, it's so cool I have t…

Way to go. Keep your text game tight and your sexual tension calibrated to the max, should be a slam-dunk.

I disagree with your last point only. Getting a number then ejecting sets the frame that you were really just after the number and not her. I like to stick for a bit and make the actual getting of numbers the most normal, casual thing in the world.

If he didn't know what the bartender was up to, I could see that. I wish I had more bartenders that did this shit with me. (Fine line though - at what point are you 'that dude who's always at the bar')

Why would that not work? That would give him even more social proof. Women want this guy. HOT women want this guy.

I'll post this in a separate thread re: picking up cute bartenders. I'm kinda just gonna think out loud: Busy nights? Sometimes I just like the bartender better than any of the girls there, but it's so damn hard to get a word in edgewise. Your thoughts? Assuming you are able to banter a bit, let's talk logistics of exchanging contact info. I know a lot of places (Buffalo Wild Wings comes to mind) prohibit wait staff from giving out details to customers. I've gotten a few to break this rule in cr…

Introducing them is awesome, it provides what is known as "social proof," or, when viewed as one of the "attraction switches," status. (This is just textbook material I'm regurgitating here, I didn't make this up.) You're right on the drink-sending thing; most high-value women see it as a low-value move by a low-value man, a sort of "paying for your time" type of thing. I personally don't buy a drink for a woman until AFTER I've established we're having a fun conversation. In a way I think it su…

A previous long-term girlfriend loved the "gravel" any time I'd get a quick cold or flu bug. She didn't even care if she'd get sick from me, just couldn't get enough of that voice.

This is an outcome-oriented question. If you treat every girl as a project with a timeline that is make-or-break, you're setting yourself up for failure. As long as you're in contact, neither you nor her need to apologize for leading busy lives. In fact, it can be a somewhat useful false barrier.

1) Yeah, I meant "original post". Sorry for the confusion. 2) In general terms, "oneitis" is a limiting belief that "there's no one else like her!" Coming out of an LTR (long-term relationship) it's a very common reaction in guys that haven't dated much or who entered into the relationship feeling "she chose me" or not knowing why she did but being happy that she did. The response you need to internalize is "Next." There is always the next. If it doesn't work out with this one (assuming you make…

I'll write another response and try to break out your OP a little: A) By "oneitis", you realize that means someone who concentrates solely on one girl at the expense of other opportunities, right? Wanting to have long-term relationships instead of one-night stands/same-night lays isn't oneitis, it's preference. If you're referring to the girl in your Spanish class, then I suppose that qualifies, especially if you're forgoing other girls because you 'like her best.' Regarding Spanish class girl -…

How old are you, out of curiousity, and how many girls have you slept with thus far (ballpark)?

Not to be redundant, but you need to give a sincere compliment sincerely. If you've gone direct, she obviously knows (or should know, I should say) that you're interested. Just don't let it overshadow the (hopefully legit) "I want you but do not need you" vibe.

And let's face it, if you still want to fuck her after you've established her baseline arrogance, you're being just as shallow as she is.

Sounds like you are looking for green lights instead of watching out for reds. Escalate like a motherfucker, but don't rape people.

I file those types of people in the "Those can do it for real don't need to constantly be talking about it." Yeah, I just split an infinitive. Sue me.

Based on the way you wrote this post, you sound very outcome-oriented. Your goal should be, with each encounter, to build off previous work.

Kinda meta, but that movie "21" was based on the book "Bringing Down the House", by Ben Mezrich, which came out in 2003, and was written about events that happened a decade before that. And I've told a girl I was dating that I had studied some pickup materials and she didn't really seem to care.

and find one that isn't retarded and find one that won't flip her shit when you don't change your relationship status after 2 dates.

That just seems fucked six ways to Sunday. Who goes into a movie before someone if you're there on a date?

Note that this is the less straightforward option, and doesn't set a frame of honesty and openness in expectations.

Agree. Logistics will kill even the smoothest motherfucker out there. If you can't overcome them, at least get the number and try to get good at text game.

Also curious, can you expound upon "making this clear from the first date."

I think I see what you're saying. Do you go beyond saying "I am not looking for anything serious right now" to say why, for example, "I'm not looking for anything serious right now, because I like to keep my sexual options open?"
/r/seduction22/03/12 03:56 PM
1

But what if you did agree there was nothing serious? I'm sure you've been in at least one situation where you've had a girl chasing you...I just tell her look, I like hanging out with you but I'm not looking for a serious committment at this time - and if she can't handle that or doesn't want to well alright. I guess what I'm saying is, if you're straightforward up front then there's no need to feel compelled to explain the "sudden" (in her eyes) change of heart. On the other hand, if you start …

If you're this agressive on an internet forum, to a guy, how are you in real life, with women. Oooh, are you trying to "AMOG" me?
/r/seduction22/03/12 02:11 PM

Most girls would either collapse into a ball of tears or become a raging bitch-a-holic, but, as long as they have a solid self-image (like the ones I and puaCurveBall are talking about) they should be able to take it. Also, girls like this typically have other options of their own.

Spaceship line was great. More people need to keep that in mind.

I suppose it's case by case. Are the relationship(s) sexual? What's the degree of communication? I mean, if you just go on dates/have sex periodically and are both mutually ok when the other person has plans, just start having lots more plans, get my drift? It's passive-agressive for sure, but just fade away and hope she doesn't get possessive. Edit: if you're not formally an item, there's no reason to formally break it off.

If you've been honest from the get-go, it shouldn't be an issue. If you've lied or been less than completely honest, you might have some issues.
/r/seduction21/03/12 09:40 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
