Try going to an AA meeting. You're sure to meet someone who values sobriety like yourself.

$80k. Yikes. Are you in an equitable distribution state?

Not a 50/50 presumption state, I'm guessing?

Yeah, but if they agree to it then your golden. I plan on mentioning it in mediation, but the way things are looking right now, I'm looking at splitting everything 50/50. She wants everything she can get and then some. It was a mistake on my part not separating the inheritance money. At the time things were goin well, TBH things got very different after I received the inheritance. The lifestyle inflation and expectations that came with it became too much, because now we had some money. I wanted …

I'm in a similar situation. Received an inheritance from the death of a parent, kept it separate for about a year, then put it into a house addition. Because, I put that money into the marital house, it is now marital property. Plus if any of that inheritance money hits a joint checking account it is now marital. I sold my parent's house and had the proceeds wired to our joint checking account. It was only in there for about a week before I moved it into my accounts, but because it was in our jo…

It's just a word people use to blame other people's personalities that they don't like. People have been on this earth for millions of years. What did they call narcissists back before the word even existed? You can't put someone in a box.

Just cause you think so doesn't make it true. You can't rate a human being. Good/bad, these are just words. The "rules" that people put on relationships and love in general are usually not founded by rational thinking. They just follow the rules because of tradition and fear of being rejected by society. If our ancestors hadn't fucked like crazy, who knows if we would even be here now. Humans have natural urges that are deeply embedded in our DNA. We don't have to ignore them just because we liv…

Maybe she was the issue? You shouldn't have to apologize for being a pervert. It is actually more common than you think. Men like sex. You are a fallible human being and you will make mistakes in life. I think a lot of women don't understand this, and continue to push away and shame their husbands for wanting to explore their spouses body or try different things. Only to have their husband become unfaithful because they felt rejected. Ask yourself this. Why should you or the the world conform to…

Your story resonated with my situation. Sounds like an irrational women. You are doing the right thing leaving someone who is delusional and unwilling to make compromises. A lot of people hold their irrational beliefs for life due to fear or insecurities. let them carry on in misery while you move on, hopefully with some of your sanity left. Stay the path, uncertainty is scary, but if you can get in a position where you can live by yourself and focus more on your life. Then you won't care about …

Ask around. Do you have any fiends in the law field? maybe they could recommend someone? Most lawyers will sit down with you or take a phone call to potentially win your business. I just retained a lawyer this week and his prices were $1750 for uncontested, $3700 for contested. I find the laws in Florida to be very fair, but we will see on the other side. It's a no fault state with equitable distribution.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
