What i am trying to make clear: Training for explosive strength in the 5x5 range with heavy weights does more work on the inner parts of your body than the outer. You look athletic but not super jacked. Also you do more compound movements because isolation and hypertrophy based training will make you more sluggish in the ring. That's why i lift heavy explosively for shorter rep ranges. I can put on a decent frame without slowing me down.

I train to be able to handle myself in situations that i can't always control. You never had someone try to mug or assault you for no reason than they seeing you as a easy mark?
