3/4 English, 1/4 German, here. Imperialism and Genocide are in my blood, yet even I understand how human rights work.

I have no idea what is like to be anybody but myself. I have no more chance of understanding how you feel as I do of understanding how the feminist in the OP feels. Does that mean that I can only speak for myself, and thus cannot participate in any dialogue with another human being? If we are are allowed to communicate, and can have a frank discussion, then understanding will follow. That is the crime of shutting down discussion with this reasoning.

Another problem with using the ban on FIC to justify a ban on MIC is that your argument doesn't necessarily lead to a ban on MIC. Maybe instead of a ban on FIC we should legalize it. I mean, that follows logically. That's the point, mate. From his position, equating FIC and MIC should mean that they are both banned, because they are both equally bad. It is bizarre to me that someone w…

Ha! The feminist society at my university (which has the gall to call itself a 'Anti-Sexism Society' while ignoring men's issues utterly) tried the same thing. They only succeeded in calling for a vote for it, and nothing actually came of it. It's their only meaningful achievement to date, and it's not even a particularly feminist stance to take. Shaming women in the glamour model industry, and those who consume it? Sounds more like something the Conservatives would do to me. You'll find none of…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
