I meant in the USA they need to state the reason for being stopped, e.g. Brake light, run a red light, you just puked a fifth of fireball out the window...
I'm not an Antipodean lawyer but Aussie cops don't much of a reason, it's not like USA. They can just use the "random drunk test" reason if they need to.
