This was EXACTLY my situation except I made more than Her. From the pop pathology garbage to her abuse to me. I stayed way longer than I should have because of health issues I had. I wish I would have left two years sooner; regardless of what unknowns in my future were and how scary they were. The relief, freedom, and understanding that I'm not everything she said I was, daily, was the best feeling. Take the plunge. Leave. Do what needs to do what is best for YOU. The financials will work itself…

And EVERY man is an abusive, manipulated, narcissist. Even if it's the woman who is clearly being abusive. ("Narcissist" has been co-opted and no one actually understands what a clinically diagnosed narcissist is.) EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Blows me away.m the lack of self reflection and tribe mentality.

Sorry you're feeling this way. You're thinking about it correctly. Don't compare. Let it go. Don't let them live rent free in your head. You got this.

It was worst than the divorce itself. Context: SOMEHOW, I got one weekend with the dog before they leveraged the dog in the divorce through false papers and lies. Spent it doing all her favorite things. Playing catch, going for long walks, spending time with my nieces and nephews, choosing her favorite snack at the gas station (honeybun. Weird I know) and carrying it home before she ate it, and lots of cuddling and kisses. The dog knew what was happening. Both nights she slept with her paws arou…

I get that. Once you get burned it's hard to trust. Love is a risk. Whether it's with family, friends or a partner. If you want to take that risk and know you might be burned but can enjoy each moment? Do it. If you don't want to take that risk, then don't date. Being alone fucking sucks. I get it. Could you find groups online, join a club, start playing some sports, etc? Otherwise, can you get to a point where you are comfortable and enjoy simply existing by yourself?

Absolutely do not move out of the house before or during a divorce.

Asking for and getting a divorce was the best decision of my life ever made. Agreed, once divorce enters your mind...it's almost game over. Going to be vague. Similar to you went to two marriage counselors. Both were jaded based on side conversations they were having with my ex and lies they were being told. To my next point, take all precaution. Your wife very well could use false allegations against you. I had to go to court twice because of this. Both times the judge called her "unfit and a n…

I wondered the same thing my man. She wanted it, and now she's taking it out on me being vengeful, hateful, and resentful. I wonder if often they think the grass is always greener...and realize it's not so they want to make you feel just as bad as they do. (Loneliness, anger, etc.) Holidays are the hardest at first. They get better. Call a friend. Go do something you love. Cherish time with your kids. Keep on keeping on.

This. A place for her to get her feelings validated from another woman without challenging those feelings in the least bit. And a place to tell you that you need to be ok with whatever your wife does regardless if it crosses your boundaries. Bitter about how fucked up marriage counseling is for most men. Not even going to hide it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
