Providing comfort is something I'm having trouble with, which I noticed when my LTR started to overtly communicate that she's insecure about certain things about the relationship (mainly small things, such as me not complimenting her enough, her getting the feeling I only joke about her being only there for sex and cooking and not for "who she is as a person" etc.) Tips?

Thank you for being so extensive! I thought polarizing was more about being/doing the opposite of general believe, disagreeing with things, doing things your own way and not the way everyone else feels is acceptable.

In the past we used to hang out all the time, and had alot of communication going on even when not together. Thanks for your advice in the last paragraph, cheers.

Your last sentence doesn't make sense to me, could you rephrase?

I was actually quite surprised she messaged me asking about if she did something wrong, just because I haven't responded for a little over 12 hours.

Do you have some advice, or a good read / some good reads about proper escalating? This is pretty hard for me to do. What do you think she's gonna say about the thing which is confusing her once we meet up?

I've been touching her hair, ears, face and upperlegs. I took her hand to guide her at some point, and we hugged - but that's it. I haven't escalated it further. As soon as we said our goodbyes, I realized it was pretty lame and BP of me, and planned to just get over my feelings of doubt, which were holding me back, the next time we meet. The first time I really touched her, she was talking about something, and I put her hair behind her ears and stroked her face. This noticably distracted her in…

Is that a good or a bad thing, I wonder.

What kind of bad vibes are you thinking about? How can it seem to here, I changed too much too quickly, if she doesn't have any real reference to how I was before? The last time we talked was about 5 years ago.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
